So I just realized that I can restart from the menu using an existing ID, still weapons and armor are there but...oh well.

Anyways about those shots, is that the default Shep? cause no matter how hot she is she looks completely different from the previous default Shep in 1 and 2. While I'll continue using my Shep, ppl who played using default shep before will feel like their character completely changed...

According to something that was said a while ago - though it could of course have changed since then - the ME1/ME2 default FemShep is still in there. She'll probably be one of the presets, given she was entirely created by the Character Creator.

@Ryuna You can. That's how I got my FemShep to level 60, while she kept working those fab looks I had grown accustomed to. Just start a new game, choose to import an existing character (or whatever) and your commander should look very familiar (plus he/she carries over all stuff). I believe the PC-version added the facial codes, but I'm not sure since I played on the Xbox.

Well, i just want femshep trailer. Even if it coming out tmr means I have to wait for the whole month till 6/3/12. I'd still be waiting eagerly happily.

I'm sure it's the lighting and the awkward angle, but she looks nothing like the default femshep.

Nice to see the new Jane in the video, even if it is just a brief glimpse.

Also seems a little harsh to start judgeing how she looks based on what is a very brief appearence in a cast trailer. I'll wait for the femshep trailer personally. Not that she's going to replace my own Shepard, regardless of how she looks.

You really think they're going to have different make up for different scenes?

edit: Coming to a final judgement would be silly, but it doesn't mean we can't share initial impressions.  At least it's more on topic than posting a bunch of ME2 screenies.

Umm. Reason that she does not look anything like default femshep from ME1&2 would probably due to the fact that there was a vote for the 'new' and 'canon' femshep to be used in marketing and the winner is now considered 'default'. maybe?

Are those the purple blue eyes? Now why did they take those out? *pout* My next Shepard is going to have those....

Yeah for some reason they look kind of purple in that screen shot. They are more ice blue in the actual game.

@Sage,
I was kind of going for a look like Amy Lee or Eva Green. I love women with dark hair and pale eyes. Its always very striking. But her biggest inspiration is someone else... *cough cough* Ahem...

*high-fives Red*

I LOVE pale women with striking eyes. Look at most of the characters I make :D Dark hair/striking eyes.

The only thing that is as beautiful as that combo for me is the red/brunette/auburn hair and pale skin and striking eyes :D

Sure why not -  I would expect some to  look and be at the best  when standing trail.(if they can of  course). I was just going based of the look of the room at  the start of the clip ... it looks like a Mitlary Tribunal or Court.  Given from what we have see the Reaper attack looks like it happens on the same day of the trail.

Its not like she can just walk up to Harbinger and saiy " Hold up Harby... let wash my face  real quick i don't my foundation and masscara to run."

but that just the impression i got from what I saw... most like I will end up being completely wrong.

The original Jane is still in the game.  I imagine if they import her they will play her.  New players will get new Jane.

Never mind the new femShep but that has to be the new version of classy hair.

Jane 2.0 was designed in the CC w/ some tweaks.  In the concept art it looked like she would have a variation of classy hair.  I have a feeling it still is a variation of it, but probably very close to what we will get in ME3 in the CC.

@red: with you there. i think if my own hair was darker, i'd only ever make wonder woman or emma peel look alikes for avatars. as it is, i always make blondies and try to make them look tough. as most cover-girl blondies are barbie-types, this is a good challenge.

OMG!!!

I was so thrilled when I saw this today.

1. because the cast looks awesome (as always) and i laugh to see seth green and tricia helfer side by side. no wonder their chemistry in game is so good, if they got to record together.

2. there is femshep teaser shots AND

3. THEY FEATURED JEN HALE! was there anything on her before? i'm thinkin' i never saw it. holy cow. they basically said in a vid "you can play as a woman'

Wow. Considering femshep was like this dirty secret before, her recognition has come a long, LONG way.

good job, crazy femshep fans! :)

I would also like to say that Femshep with rather expert dodging of that rather large desk ... is so far this years leading nominee for the "Oh **** gotta get low" moment of the year.

All I wish for is that they change the ugly (though I got used to them at some point and they looked pretty) lip textures available in both ME1 and 2, Besides that all Sheps since have been looking fierce and hot.

But I still don't get why they have to model the default shep in ME3 based on those artworks, I thought they were simply for promotion and stuff. I mean artwork is different they can't compare it with
I don't know if i make sense but I guess what I'm trying to say is that if I would imagine shep as a drawing then she would look like that picture. They shouldn't have looked for different standards and simply enhanced the current default shep.

Yeah the lips have always been quite bad textured. That's why i love the highres face textures i use for now. They actually make the lips look almost as real life ones

Whats most impressive about those couple of seconds is the vast improvements we can now see.

Textures:  Way improved.
Lighting:  Looking good.
Animations:  Do I need to say that looked great diving over obstacles.
Uniform:  Very appropriate
Hair: No real clipping, doesn't look plastic!

So far Bioware are ticking all the boxes of our biggest concerns we addressed!  Amazing two seconds have shown so much!
