No kidding!  The first thing I noticed about the ME3 guns is how much more satisfying it is to fire them, especially the sniper rifles.  But yeah, every time I had to unload my pistol into a husk in ME1 for a full minute on Insanity I wanted to switch to a lower difficulty.

Shotguns owned in ME1. Being able to knock husks off their feet made life much easier. Shotguns in ME1 had pretty good range too.

My problem wasn't with the knocking bad guys down.  On Insanity it took 3-5 shots with a fully upgraded sniper rifle to take down a husk.  Probably closer to 50+ if I was using a pistol.  I definitely had to take Feros very slowly.

Did you try to melee a husk in ME2 (after playing ME3) and expected an epic biotic punch but all you got was something that couldn't knock a barbie doll out? Because that happens to me all the time:pinched:

Yeah, they sound a lot nice too (which definitely helps to makes them more satisfying). That's exactly what I don't like with this kind of difficulty scaling. It isn't necessarily harder but everything takes way longer (for player, enemy snipers seems to have super guns). Snipers rifles... What a difference.

If something is better in ME3, it's the combat.

@Saturn, I agree.

Just thought I would pop in for page 400 throw in some pics of Molavetia from ME1 & ME2 which I'm playing but with male shep. Most likely won't post any of my femshep until DLC, new ending whatever comes out and I also decide on her final look.

Oh, the combat in ME3 is phenomenal!  Smarter enemies, more interesting terrain, vastly more maneuverability...  It's too bad they can't go back and revamp the other two games with this engine

Was anyone else taken aback by Hale's delivery of that line when talking to Garrus in London?

"If I'm up there in that bar and you're not, I'll be looking down. You'll never be alone"

I found it absolutely gut-wrenching (and my Shepard didn't even romance Garrus). It isn't so much the line itself but the delivery.....wow. Don't get me wrong, this game is prob. Hale's best work and she was incredible throughout the whole game, but that was on a whole new level.

I hated the sniper rifles in ME1, had to sink loads of points into it to stop Shep shaking. I've only played ME1 on insanity as an adept (pretty sure I only played hardcore as a vanguard) which was brutal for the first half but a piece of ****** once Shep had all her powers. With Liara and Shep both spamming powers enemies spent all their time in the air.

Absolutely! that scene just killed me.. best VA delivery hands down.. I was doing sorta okay-ish during that conversation, I mean I had a lump in my troat but I wasn't crying or anything but hearing her voice break during that line... Tears all over the place <3

I sunk a fair number of points into sniper rifles, but was still able to account for the sniper "sway" before then.  Right up through (and possibly including) Hardcore, a solid headshot would be enough to take down anything without shields.  On Insanity it just knocked them over.

^_^ Do you know what? For a while I thought ME3 version of this hairstyle is better. But now I think good old sexy haircut is much more better.

edit: @ RDL... I agree totally that line is amazing and I loved it totally as Garrus is my favorite romance for femshep and when Allison delivered it...it was closest I came to crying in the whole game( outside of Mordin n Thane's death)... :happy:

The goodbye with Garrus in Kate's game hit me as hard emotionally as the one with her LI (Kaidan).
