The goodbye with Garrus is so strong and really awesome. The goodbye with Liara was so cool aswell with her gift! Saying goodbye to Kaidan with him being the LI was probably one of the more emotional and epic moments in ME3. At those moments Shepard really became more human and felt more real than ever

Yeah, my Shepard romanced Garrus... I've played through that scene twice and even knowing the garbage awaiting me with the endings I just bawled like a baby. Wehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Hale and Keener were just amazing. All the VAs were, even those whose voices I don't really like.

Yeah, they sound a lot nice too (which definitely helps to makes them more satisfying). That's exactly what I don't like with this kind of difficulty scaling. It isn't necessarily harder but everything takes way longer (for player, enemy snipers seems to have super guns). Snipers rifles... What a difference.

If something is better in ME3, it's the combat.

Oh, the combat in ME3 is phenomenal!  Smarter enemies, more interesting terrain, vastly more maneuverability...  It's too bad they can't go back and revamp the other two games with this engine

Absolutely.

Was anyone else taken aback by Hale's delivery of that line when talking to Garrus in London?

"If I'm up there in that bar and you're not, I'll be looking down. You'll never be alone"

I found it absolutely gut-wrenching (and my Shepard didn't even romance Garrus). It isn't so much the line itself but the delivery.....wow. Don't get me wrong, this game is prob. Hale's best work and she was incredible throughout the whole game, but that was on a whole new level.

Yep, definately.

Yeah, my man card was in jeapordy for a nano second. Hale rocks my world.

LMAO!

I had to man-up HARD to keep from crying there as well...

When Traynor was talking about the house and the Dog all the white picket fence...I had to pull out my man up card too... and Tali's good bye to male shepard was worst... "I wish we had more time"   had to really man up  on that one.  Man  I divided into the mission with such vigor  and then...I took a green space magic arrow to the knee.

Jjust wondering but am I the only one who changes Shepards casual outfit based on where she's going and who she's meeting? The whole time when I had Wrex and the Primarch on board I felt I had to wear the captains outfit to make a good impression or something ;)

Haha, I did the exact same thing.

The best part was, I had my Shepard put on her dress for her date with Kaidan. But before she met him at Apollo's, she got roped into that whole side-quest in the Embassies that involved searching the Ambassador's office, so she was running around doing that whole thing in her dress. Also, in that same trip to the Citadel, she wound up doing the shooting contest with Garrus. I'd never have made her put on her dress for that scene, but it worked so well.

I'd love it if she had an awesome leather jacket though...

I agree. I don't even care much for VS (lukewarm on Kaidan, detest Ashley) but my first playthrough was with a Paragon who loved Kaidan and was even loyal through ME2.

I thought it was BEAUTIFULLY done. Very emotional.

Neeh posted this on Liara's thread. Did a great job for alternate ending. At least the one I was hoping to see.

I only wish BW did something like this. Something worth calling 'bittersweet'

Hehehe.. Same thing happened to me, I loved it!

Agree on the leather jacket.. I wish we could use the toolset, must see if I can dive into the files !

Yes. That final scene with Kaidan moved me as well. There's something powerful about seeing two lovers embracing each other amidst all of the rubble.

It's a good thing that Jennifer Hale inflected so much emotion in her final conversations. I know that some people would rather a voice actor remain neutral for role playing purposes, but damnit, if you want to play a cold, emotionless character.....shame on you.

Some of my favorite shots from that scene:

I imagine Devi is trying her damn hardest keeping her composure in front of Kaidan. Of course that plan is ruined the moment he reaches out for her.

Ending goodbyes are EVIL. I simply *think* about them and my stomach aches. No, that is not hyperbole. My stomach is aching now, just thinking about them.

ugggghhhhh

On the subject of ramblings, so folks were writing emails to the devs about the endings and what we think about the game and want to see in a dLC, etc. They sent me a PM asking me to chime in as well.

If you're interested, this is what I wrote

I love what you wrote and I hope that whoever receives this letter actually reads it. (And I don't think you're the odd one out for gaming at 32. I was always under the impression that a lot of Bioware board members are in their mid-twenties and beyond. My 50 year old mother plays this game!)

Well put!  I think my reaction (and that of my wife's) was similar to yours.  The more I thought about it, the more I read about it, the more I disliked how the game was brought to a close.  Thanks for putting that letter together!  If I could sign it, I would!

Also didn't know you used to be a librarian!  My wife's a semester away from her MLIS degree.

Juggling 4 files to try and get all issues pinpointed and ironed out, but things are looking up.
N7 logo improvements, artifact like patches gone under the chestlines.

Really well stated.

I don't think you're the odd one out for gaming at 32, but I'm 41 so if you're the odd one out I'm even more out there.

It must be nice to have a romance with well-acted dialogue, gorgeous scenes and lovely goodbyes.

What I got was utter garbage and completely out of character for both Thane and Shepard. It sounded flat, unemotional and nothing like it was in Mass Effect 2.

I'm not bitter at all. Really.

I'm still upset about the Thane situation, but I'm not letting that stop me from enjoying the romances that did play out nicely..of course that's all crap when thinking about the ending anyway.

It's my canon romance.  My favorite romance.  So no, I'm not gonna put it aside that easily.

yeah...thane is my favorite character...my canon romance and my favorite. I've cried tons over what happened with thane, but you know what... I'm just tired of being mad about something I cannot change...so I'd like to at least be happy about the romance that two of my girls did find done well.
