Apathy isn't going to change anything, and I refuse to go that route.

I'd love to enjoy the game. I really want to. As it stands, though, I cannot. It's ruined for me at this time.

Anyway, I guess I'll stop complaining and go back to playing Skyrim.

Wow. Lovely. I would be so interested in this when you're done.

@ Aislinn: *hugs* Really don't have anything to offer but hugs and tea and sympathy.  What flavor tea do holly and thane prefer? peppermint? /goes to cupboards and gets out the mugs

On the subject of ramblings, so folks were writing emails to the devs about the endings and what we think about the game and want to see in a dLC, etc. They sent me a PM asking me to chime in as well.

If you're interested, this is what I wrote

I love what you wrote and I hope that whoever receives this letter actually reads it. (And I don't think you're the odd one out for gaming at 32. I was always under the impression that a lot of Bioware board members are in their mid-twenties and beyond. My 50 year old mother plays this game!)

Really well stated.

I don't think you're the odd one out for gaming at 32, but I'm 41 so if you're the odd one out I'm even more out there.

Don't worry Shenzi, I got ya beat by a year.

@ Sage:  I like Earl Grey, just sayin'.

Aislinn: I'm quite sure everyone understands your position. My own position is everything after Anderson dies was a let down.

I've spent how many hours of my life for THAT?

Oh, and my FemShep leading the charge. Sorry for the low quality.

Ais, I feel worse for you than anyone else in the femShep community. It seems like everyone else has at least something enjoyable they can take from ME3, despite the horrid ending. But you apparently didn't get anything and are just so obviously torn up that I hurt for you. I wish I could write more Thane content for you, or just do something that would make it better.

Sage, that letter is perfect. Although I felt that the ending was wrong as soon as I finished the game, and even though my production of fan material is negligible, everything else could have be written by me, even down to my age (well, minus the kids). I hope and pray BioWare reads it.

we all have the right to feel the way we do. I'm really sad that you are so sad about it all. I'm one of those (apparently) weird people that actually like, like, really like, dragon age 2 even though I played the heck out of dragon age origins (and it's my favorite game ever made) and I know they are totally different game experiences. I am also not all that upset with the ending of ME3 that has nearly everyone in the community upset. that totally makes *me* the odd one here and you are totally normal. :)

Bioware is seriously missing out on an opportunity for some real DLC dollars here. It would be, what, a few days worth of artists/designers work to come up with some more awesome casual attire? N7 leather jacket? Bam. A better "take no prisoners" dress? Bam. Oversized N7 t-shirt, heart boxers, and bunny slippers? Er... What the hell? Bam!

I would buy the hell out of that DLC.

This would be hilarious. They need to doooo eeeeeet.

Hey, thanks. And part of me putting in age and such is that sometimes I feel like videogame companies assume we're all kids who will buy anything (With money) and BUY anything (as in, whatever lame plot we're given). I may game in my basement, but the rest of the gaming sterotypes don't fit. But i still love your games so please fix it!

There's still a slight issue with it, but I can't figure out how to solve it, so it'll have to do.
I've tested it on this camo and the non carbon single colored armor. Gonna see if I can test some more, and if good then I'll toss up a project for whoever's interested.

So, um... hi, all.

Before I start, I want to add to the chorus of folks sending hugs and well wishes to Aislinn. I've always enjoyed your vids, Ais, and I feel really, really bad for you. I hope things get better for you.

I've been lurking in this thread and the ME2 one for quite some time now. I didn't feel I should or could post, since the face I use is not really mine. I got it from this:
http://fav.me/d1homsy

Yes, ME1 sliders. This was way back before ME2 had even come out. After about an hour in ME1's CC and failing miserably to make anything decent, I decided I needed to go find something that I could use and ran across that one. And yes, I painstakingly recreated it following those screenshots. Took what felt like forever, but it was totally worth it!

He has since tweaked it and I prefer the pre-tweaked version, so maybe I can claim it? Or is that reaching?

Anyways, gentle urging from the folks in the FemShep.com chat encouraged me to post here.

I have two FemSheps that use that face. A Redheaded version, which is my canon. Is there a rule against non-ME3 pics? She's still in the midst of ME2 so that's all I have so far, but I do have a ton of them. Oh, and she's my current Avatar.:) Yes, reusing the face is unoriginal, I know, but since I have no skill whatsoever when it comes to character creators in games, I go with what I've got.

My other is:

Kendra Shepard. Colonist, Ruthless, Vanguard. FULL Renegade.* Romanced Kaidan, remained faithful in ME2 and resumed in ME3. Yes, as a Renegade. It can be done!

*I've been told that the way I play her isn't actually Full Renegade, but Diplomatic Renegade. And I'm perfectly fine with that. I just love Jen Hale's performance as Renegade FemShep. Just sooooooooooooo much fun.

*really hoping these screenshots work*

One shot from ME1:

A couple from ME2:

And the only two I have (so far) from ME3:

Posted Image

"Tell your friends we're coming for them!"

Posted Image

I love that smile! Ending the Quarian/Geth war by yelling at them!

That one above is now my new wallpaper. I just absolutely love that scene. My favorite part in ME3... heck, in all three games! It's just a shame that..... *sigh*

Anyways, I don't care what anyone says. I love her scars! And, she's a little bit busy to worry about being vain. :P

I probably won't have anymore ME3 shots, because well..... yeah. If I ever am mentally/emotionally able to re-import Kendra or import Maria or heck, finish ME2 with Maria, then I'll have more from ME3. But, as of right now, I don't have the heart to play any of them. Gah, why does a video game affect me so much?

Sorry for the long post. In case you didn't notice, I tend to babble.

PS: I nearly forgot. I also have some videos. They are spoileriffic, though.

Shepard asks Why me? :
Renegade FemShep brokers peace on Rannoch:
Talking to Kaidan and James after Rannoch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WY4A-1_1SBU
Renegade FemShep and Kaidan "Last Night": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xim8xLs2rO4

I'm addicted to taking vids now that I figured out how to record and render them in 720p. It's really, really hard to load up ME3, though. Even if it's just to get vids.

Your Shep is beautiful; the bios are really cool. How you feel about ME3 and ME in general is pretty much how i feel too. As far as i know you can post any femshep related pic. Looking forward to hearing more about your canon.
