1. Am I the only one quite creeped out by the fact that the stupid little Godchild actually smiles at Shepard when she chooses the Control Ending?

2. Whether or not the whole Indoctrination Theory is correct or not, I do find it highly curious that in both the Control and Synthesis endings, Shepard's eyes physically changed into the same "indoctrinated eyes" that TIM also has. :?

No, this definitely creeps me out too and is why I will never have a Shepard who picks control or synthesis.  I don't believe the indoctrination theory was ever intended by Bioware and the cynic in me believes that the eye change is just a rule-of-cool thing the visual designers thought would look neat.  But either way I can't picture any of my 11 Shepards making those choices.

Jennie is definitely going to pick destroy if I ever get her that far.

QFA. Really cool shot.

@ELE08: I know you used Drea's face for your new character, but with the hair and makeup she's got an anime style going on (like a dolled up Motoko Kusanagi), and in some angles looks unrecognizable from the older character.

Hmm, so she does. I approve of this comparison :)

So many Sheps posted, too many to respond to... ah, heck, I'm gonna try anyways!

@CrazyRah: Your Shep has always looked fierce and determined to me.

@meonlyred: If I wasn't using the face I am for my Sheps, I might be inclined to steal Zody's. She just looks awesome. :)

@AkodoRyu: I've always liked Marge. I loved how she kept getting used in websites' news articles as if the author thought she was the default. I hope you get the kinks worked out.

@Demonhoopa: I like your collage of Sheps. They look great.

@2leggywillow: Some nice looking Sheps there!

@Lianna sFfalenn: Aki looks distinct and unique!

@Flies_by_Handles: And yours looks unique as well! Some very talented people with the CC here.

@Elorin Silverblade: I'm partial to Redhead Sheps. Looking forward to more.

@Akari Tenshi: Amazing what a hair change does. I didn't recognize Hrist at first! But, looking close, yep, that's her.

@Shenzi: Kate looks, well.. great! (can you tell I'm running out of words here?)

@yukidama: Love that pic of your Shep and Garrus.

@ELE08: Your talents with the CC as well as texmods just amaze and astonish me.

@Chugster: Yay for another redhead Shep!

@Tup3xi: Please don't take this the wrong way because I really, really like your Shep. I like that she's not runway model-perfect. That she seems very normal, like someone you'd bump into walking down the street. I absolutely love that pic of her with the sniper rifle. The look on her face at the moment, like she doesn't have a care in the world.

@janeway11: Um.. wow.. she's very... exotic.

@AVPen: I may have said this before, but your Shep has this innocence about her look that I like.

@zingro: That's a really cool pic.

Ok, as fun as that was, I'm probably not gonna do that again. This thread just moves way too fast for that. So, I'll just keep using the blanket "All your Sheps are awesome" or somesuch from now on. Hope that's ok.

My thoughts exactly.

Yeah I hated when that one uestion from her fans asked about Cerberus. it's like "really? I just fought Cebreurs off the Citadel. I should send someone to punch that person."

Doesn't bother me, beyond seeing my Shep disintegrate that is.
She has cybernetics, and it peeks through just the same when you're renegade.

@AV -- Why did your Shepard pick control? I'm curious! (I have one that would pick control, just haven't gotten around to her game yet.) I'd love to hear what happens in your control ending once the DLC comes out. And I've heard the same thing about the eyes regarding the two endings. I haven't decided what to make of it because the endings of ME1 and ME2 were a matter of preference. I can't really see them going "Bzzzt! There was only one correct choice, destroy, you lose!" It's like saying we should have saved the base all along. You know what I'm saying?

Well, she thought that the Synthesis concept that the Godchild came up with was frank bullsh*t (as does the majority of my Shepards) and it's not like Ellen has much of anything to live for at this point: she has no friends, no family, the only person she admired and respected as a mentor (even a father) is now dead, and her entire purpose up until this point was stopping the Reapers at any cost as long as it saved humanity. That said, the way I roleplayed her in ME and ME2, she always had this inferiority/superiority complex that gave her a desire for power over others (being of an Earthborn/Ruthless background) - while that personality trait supressed itself for the most part in ME3, it was always there in the background and the knowledge that she (and not the Illusive Man) had the capacity to control the Reapers ultimately proved tempting to her (whether she lived or died from it was irrelevant).

That said, who knows? Maybe I'll change my mind and have Ellen say "FU" to the Reapers like she wanted to say in my NG+. :P

One can only hope, Sage...... um about the DLC, I mean. I've no doubt you'll get her face right.

So, I was going through folders on my second hard drive, backing up game saves, etc and I ran across some ME1 screenshots I thought I had lost! I found three for Maria. All of them are from the very beginning of the game, and  thought maybe they would be of interest here.

Posted Image

Maria in the Character Creator.

Posted Image

The level up/powers screen. Did I really pick Assault Rifles as a bonus power? /facepalm

Posted Image

And right after the very first cutscene.

And, other than the one I posted for her earlier this week, that's all I have for Maria in ME1. The rest of them are from ME2. I did find the remaining ones for Kendra from ME1. She has *five* screenshots now. I'll post them tomorrow. :)

This ending was my first choice and boy was it painful to watch. It certainly looked stunning but I find the idea of Shepard completely disintegrating, leaving no body for friends to mourn, especially heartbreaking. Glad that it turned out to be an "unofficial" ending;  atleast for me.

@Syrdeth:  You deserve a cookie for how inclusive your earlier post is. =]  Every time I see old Mass Effect pictures I get a strong urge to play the game. It has such a different feel from its sequels. I miss the sense of wonder and optimism felt while playing it. Funny how both the in game characters and real life players feel nostalgia over the events that took place in the first game.

It'll take more than Reapers to come between this interspecies liason.

So I've never romanced Garrus (I've always seen him as an older brother type to my Shep), but when I saw a video clip of this dialogue recently, my heart went pitter patter and I seriously wanted to marry his voice.

Interspecies liason

Oh boy.

I like Kaidan, but he likes to sigh ... a lot.

Hmm synthesis is the way to go for me.

I've considered the following, control being a status quo, you only take the reapers out of the equation, plus Shepard. Risk of the impending war/organic annihilation still existing, but you give it a chance to prove the opposite.

Then there's destroy, where you take the reapers out, but also the Geth and EDI, which for all my Sheps is just not an option, however much I want to see them (my sheps) live, that would be going against what they stoold for since the beginning and the choices they made in regards to synthetic life throughout the game. Risk of the impending war/organic annihilation still existing, but you give it a chance to prove the opposite.

Then there's synthesis, believing the impending war threat exists assuming StarChild is what he claims to be, it's the only one that suggestedly assures to break the cycle in therms of war.

To me the main questions were simple, I asked myself:
1. Do I believe StarChild? Yes.
2. Do I believe war is inevitable, do I believe our annihilation in extension is inevitable? Yes.
3. Do I recognise the Geth and EDI as fullfletched "life"forms? Yes.
4. If not synthetic life, but say Turian life, would I merge to save them (and everyone in effect)? Yes.

Outcome Synthesis every time, I can't get around it.

My favorite Kaidan quote in ME3: "Yeah, you know, I dunno"

Always eloquent and insightful, that guy.

(Disclaimer: I still adore Kaidan)
