Well I live and hope that someday this forum will once again be populated by people who like Mass Effect and that this thread in particular will once again be populated by people who celebrate their characters as they exist in the Mass Effect narrative, which is indeed speculative fiction, whether you like it or not.
And I hope maybe someday you'll understand people have a right to vent their frustration or concerns, whether it jibes with your opinion or not.

I really hate the endings, but there are plenty of other threads for ending discussion. Let's keep this thread focused on femshep. The forums are getting overrun with ending-hate, so it's understandable those looking for anything else are getting tired of it.
I'd like to see screenshots and face codes of what people think represent the femshep box art better than the default femshep.

Shepard: So ... you're telling me ... that if I jump into the ... beam I will be able to ... manipulate matter?
Starchild: No. The crucible was designed to merge your "essence" into ours and rewrite the DNA code of all organic life, accepting the synthesis of the organic and synthetic.
Shepard: Which ... would require the ... manipulation of matter, perhaps even on a sub atomic level.
Starchild: You ... You just don't understand it.
Shepard: The hell I don't. My girlfriend is an asari scientist. She talks about this crap in her sleep. If I can manipulate matter on a sub atomic level literally anything is possible. It'll be like space magic.
Starchild: You are assuming your "essence" will remain intact.
Shepard: It's a risk I'm willing to take.
Starchild: You are assuming your "essence" is stronger than ours.
Shepard: I'm standing here aren't I?
Starchild: Uh ... another solution has just popped up.
Shepard: Outta my way, kid. I'm going to kill the Reapers, save the mass relays and be back in time for snuggles w/ Liara.
Space magic. It makes everything work.

Can I nominate Tess? (apologies for the crappy picture, it's the only one I have of her right now).

Exactly. Knowing they're making an effort to clarify (whatever that means) things was comforting, but it really is insulting to be told that we simply don't understand their level of artistry as far as the endings go. Art or not, fact of the matter is that it did not follow through to your audience - an overwhelming portion of them. That, to me, is an apparent failure.Tup3xi wrote...
I think it's insulting to pull the "it's art" card when people don't "understand" something. Sometimes artists and writers just fail to deliver. People make mistakes. That's understandable but when you really screw up you should admit that and not make petty excuses.
The ending in ME3 isn't art. It just doesn't make any sense. It has more holes than Emmental cheese. They way the writing changed in the end when talking to the spectral boy really made me speechless. Shepard's personality totally changed there. I didn't know who was that person any more.

LOOOVE! <3 I like her a LOT more than BioWare's version. Good job, ELE!sagequeen wrote...
re: default jane, I think ELE did a nice job with the concept art rework:
Face Code: 753.1GD.I13.J89.DGG.149.7FK.111.QA7.DA4.2G6.317
I do believe there is now files to add freckles back as far as ME1? But that's one of the best renderings of the concept I've seen - actually, I think it's more accurate than the actual default for me3.

Not gonna happen. A lot of people have already described how this discussion relates to FemShep for them, and they can post about it all they want.
Insisting that people change the subject isn't going to work. You may as well just scroll on by if you don't want to read it, because seriously: discussion about the ending isn't going away.
