*cracks fingers* Good thing I can write. Fanfiction saved my headcanon.
Seriously. As much fun as it would have been to take her through future games, I was pretty well prepared for this to be the end of her video game career. I mean she was going to retire anyway, so unless blue child rearing somehow translated into compelling gameplay, she was only ever gonna live on in my head and my stories. It's just too bad I now have to fight Bioware in order to get there, but c'est la vie!
My head canon is the only thing that keeps me going - it has given an great ending to now only my 3 shepards but the rest of the crew as well. I at this point have reject everything that happend after the Chronos mission as never happening. If I play that game again... I will stop at the mission. Alice(I just made her in ME 1) is never going past that point.

So I completed the Surkesh mission with Nemain and as in Mass Effect 2, I still feel conflicted with how the Krogan/Genophage issue plays out. Regardless of what character I use I do not like being solely responsible for deciding on whether the Genophage should be cured. When I finally do give in and vouch for the Krogan's salvation, I end up feeling as though I do this only for gameplay purposes; roleplaying has no influence in this decision. Does anyone else feel this way sometimes? That they have a hard time deciding something strickly on role playing factors?
It's funny you should say, as I'd just finished typing up the following lunchtime ramble...
Having recently gone through Priority: Citadel and re-acquired Kaidan as a squadmate, I found myself debating the choice offered to Shepard. In game mechanics terms, it's a no-brainer, because (as far as I know) if you don't bring Kaidan aboard the romance can't continue. In my head-canon, however, him taking a position with Hackett wouldn't prevent the relationship from continuing, and would probably keep him safer, or as safe as anywhere is with the galaxy falling apart. Loving Kaidan as she does, should Aki really bring him on board the Normandy when she knows they're undertaking very difficult missions and emotional involvement has the potential to compromise them?
If your Shepards were faced with a choice between keeping their LI with them or asking them to contribute elsewhere which might be safer, what would they do? What about if it was a choice between preventing harm from coming to their LI or giving up/gaining a serious advantage against the Reapers?
you know, none of my shepards romanced kaidan in ME1. i've always created liara lovers (although my newest shepard does have plans on romancing kaidan in ME1). in any case, i was in a similar dilemma after the citadel mission. in natalia's situation, ashley was her virmire survivor, and so i had to make the choice to let her go or bring her on the normandy. honestly, after having her on the ship and seeing how that plays out, if i'm faced with this situation again, i would let her go. ash and natalia aren't on the best terms anyway and after putting her gun in natalia's face, natalia wasn't in the mood to forgive. however, i kept her on the normandy for strictly game-play purposes. i just wanted to see what she would do. come to find out, she doesn't do much aside from being another option to bring on missions (as soldiers go, i pick vega every time). my second play through of ME3 with dina, while i'm curious as to what kaidan is like to have on the normandy after the citadel mission, even though she has NO plans to romance him, i'm still debating whether or not to let him go.
all my shepards have had friendly leanings toward the krogan (what can i say? i really love wrex. i want to hug him.) and so making the decision to cure the genophage has never been that big of a dilemma. i have been incredibly curious as to how the game plays out if the genophage is not cured, but i don't think any of my shepards, in a role-playing situation, would choose NOT to cure it.

ok...if i add the default hair to a black haired Shep then i get black default hair (with clipping isues, then have to do all the LOD stuff).
but if i import the face from the pictures in my post above (LOD stuff done) and change the vectors to the black it keeps setting itself to the default red....i can change it to blonde or silver but not black...i can change her eye colour and eyeshadow but i cant make her hair black...any ideas?
I can change other hairstyles to black as well
While 0,0,0,1 is pure black, it could also be passed as null (theory) resulting in it resetting back to default, grab the colourdata out of your CC blackhaired shep and use those vectors for the black on your gibbed edited save.
If that doesn't work, I haven't the foggiest, worked fine for me ><
I thought it might be a null thing so i tried using the other black haired Shep RGB numbers...nada....works on other hairstyles...but not the default...which is odd as, like i said, i can make it blond or silver....and if i ive a black haired Shep the hairstyle it works...i was just trying to find a easier way to use the hairstyle wihout having to adjust all the LODs each time
I must be missing something as the default hair obviously can be black but i cant seem to change it from another colour TO black...odd

Sounds like a problem with one of those.

On other fronts, serendipity, I figured out a workaround for Ashley and Miranda's hair models. It's noted on my hair blog.
Fraaaaak Teagan finally looks perfect.
She deserves another run at some point.
Oh that...just a dead Reaper. XO from Rannoch.
I'm inspired to fanart an more detailed ending more fitting for Teagan (comic format? that will be new...rambling)...so something positive to focus on anyways.
Oh and for the lulz. Had some fun mod testing with Vega. Snerk. How's the view?!
DAYUM!
Okay I'm seriously jealous. I don't understand how after THREE GAMES, Bioware couldn't deliver ONE hairstyle along these lines. Do they NOT see the hair mods out there? People are using them for a reason.
Oh the irritating existance of a console gamer.

The only thing I changed in the story was Hackett calling to say "It's not working."
No he calls to say "It's working, the reapers are completely vulnerable, our fleets are tearing them apart!"
And then Shepard falls into a coma for six months while the galaxy recovers.
Garrus comes in and talks to her from time to time because he is my Shepard's bro.
Then she wakes up, etc etc
(Bioware I give you this idea for free, replace Garrus with a romanced LI when needed or just use Liara by default.)

**spoiler**
I've had 3 playthroughs of ME3 with Ashley as the surviving VS. I found the option of shooting her on the Citadel to be the most satisfying (and dramatic).
She's a colossal bore on the Normandy in this game anyway.

I really like how they added the stray strands of hair in ME3. Adds a bit more character, methinks.

I can't find a story/lore answer regarding heretics being rewritten in ME3, but going by game mechanics, rewriting is worth zero points towards achieving peace between the geth and quarians (you'd need 5 points out of a possible 7) while destroying is worth 2 points. Here's a nice breakdown of the points needed.Flies_by_Handles wrote...
That irritated me a little too, although I don't know how much differently that sceneraio could have been reworked. It does play into the theme of choice in this series, only the choices that Shepard has sometimes seem too grand for her character. Shepard not only has to fight; she has to become this master diplomat too. I played through ME3 twice by now and I can't even recall if letting the Heretics be rewritten had any real effect on the mission on Rannoch. If someone can, please remind me.

it does... that's why Alicia kept it from 2 to 3...toyred with another style in the demo...but her orginal pony tail worked best...

If I remember correctly Legion says that rewriting the heretics put them at a tactical disadvantage because it increased the number of geth who are following the Reapers
