I need that hair!?

Looked at your blog, but to be honest it's a bit over my head. *sniff* I really want that hair on my Shep. Did you edit the vertices as well?

Okay I'm seriously jealous. I don't understand how after THREE GAMES, Bioware couldn't deliver ONE hairstyle along these lines. Do they NOT see the hair mods out there? People are using them for a reason.

Oh the irritating existance of a console gamer. Posted Image

same here. grrrrrr. really wish i could get the hair on console. if ashley can drop the military regs about hair than darn it so should we!

You know...this is why I'm reminded of why I switched over to the pc version of ME/DA series....so I can mod the crap outa my games to get my characters looking the way they should look...

That irritated me a little too, although I don't know how much differently that sceneraio could have been reworked. It does play into the theme of choice in this series, only the choices that Shepard has sometimes seem too grand for her character. Shepard not only has to fight; she has to become this master diplomat too. I played through ME3 twice by now and I can't even recall if letting the Heretics be rewritten had any real effect on the mission on Rannoch. If someone can, please remind me.

I can't find a story/lore answer regarding heretics being rewritten in ME3, but going by game mechanics, rewriting is worth zero points towards achieving peace between the geth and quarians (you'd need 5 points out of a possible 7) while destroying is worth 2 points. Here's a nice breakdown of the points needed.

DAMMIT!!! I have failed 3 straight times to make peace between them. Not knowing the point formula (I like to fly blind in these games and see what happens), I didn't rescue Admiral Koris (this very morning) on my fourth playthrough since I had rescued him in the three previous failed attemps. Well finally looking at the formula, it appears that my genius decision will leave me exactly ONE PEACE POINT short.

ok...if i add the default hair to a black haired Shep then i get black default hair (with clipping isues, then have to do all the LOD stuff).

but if i import the face from the pictures in my post above (LOD stuff done) and change the vectors to the black it keeps setting itself to the default red....i can change it to blonde or silver but not black...i can change her eye colour and eyeshadow but i cant make her hair black...any ideas?

I can change other hairstyles to black as well

While 0,0,0,1 is pure black, it could also be passed as null (theory) resulting in it resetting back to default, grab the colourdata out of your CC blackhaired shep and use those vectors for the black on your gibbed edited save.
If that doesn't work, I haven't the foggiest, worked fine for me ><

I thought it might be a null thing so i tried using the other black haired Shep RGB numbers...nada....works on other hairstyles...but not the default...which is odd as, like i said, i can make it blond or silver....and if i ive a black haired Shep the hairstyle it works...i was just trying to find a easier way to use the hairstyle wihout having to adjust all the LODs each time

I must be missing something as the default hair obviously can be black but i cant seem to change it from another colour TO black...odd

There three places to edit hair color:
HED_Hair_Colour_Vector

Highlight1Color
Highlight2Color

Sounds like a problem with one of those.

...

On other fronts, serendipity, I figured out a workaround for Ashley and Miranda's hair models.  It's noted on my hair blog.

Fraaaaak Teagan finally looks perfect.
She deserves another run at some point.

Oh that...just a dead Reaper. XO from Rannoch.

I'm inspired to fanart an more detailed ending more fitting for Teagan (comic format? that will be new...rambling)...so something positive to focus on anyways.

Oh and for the lulz.  Had some fun mod testing with Vega.  Snerk.  How's the view?!

Ashley NEEDED to "fix that har". Yeah I know, the "sophisticated gamers" went right to the pandering card but I don't buy it. She always had those pretty eyes that were overshadowed by that hot ghetto mess on her head called a hairstyle. It looked like a Davy Crockett ****** skin cap from 1955.

I guess right before ME3, Lucy Ricardo finally tracked Ashley down and took her hairstyle back.

i like playing as a fem shep sometimes as you can make her look however you want - with the maleshep i feel like the default appearance is how your shep should look - anything else doesnt seem right (this may be because ive always played as default male face but hey), femshep you can shape her however you like and it fits... theres no default to conform to

Yes! Holly needs that hair!

It's all done through coalesced.bin and save editing.

I posted a coalesced.bin, though it's a bit messier than what I'm using because it has everything unlocked...you know, fer de public.

Anyways, rambling. She's wearing the hair as shoulder armor. Shep is technically bald.

Looking at the formula, those things alone won't do it. I had all those things with Fiona but since she re wrote the Geth Heretics (being the bleeding heart Paragon that she is), it was yet another EPIC FAIL.

Luckily, Sam (my current playthrough) has already been pro "Quarians taking back their homeworld" in this playthrough. So it won't be breaking RP for her to side with the Quarians and I won't have to watch Tali die like I did in my first playthrough with Cybill. :::gut punch:::

Both Allison AND Alicia did the same as you...and they are Paragades...and I managed to keep both sides alive... :D.

There must be something else your missing in there...

-Rewrote the Heretics (0 points)
-Tali is NOT exiled (+2 points)
-Resolved Legion/Tali conflict either using the Paragon or Renegade options (+1 point)
-N7 Mission: Save the Admiral on Rannoch in ME3 (+1 point)
-N7 Mission: Destroy Geth Squadron on Rannoch in ME3 (+1 point)
-Completed Legion's Mission in ME3 (or no peace)

You will need a HIGH reputation for the peace talks. If you rewrote the heretics in ME2 BUT achieve peace, you will gain more war assets, but there'll be less quarians. Also, if you rewrote them, you will face more geth than people who destroyed them, in which they'll face less geth.

Those are the factors that counted for me...in my 2 runs so far...might as well count that for Gianna as well...LOL.

ROFL. I feel ya. The other day I realized that a conversation with a squaddie did not trigger properly and wasn't gonna unless I backtracked. I had to redo two missions and a buttload of planet scanning for the collection quests.

Thanks for that info Gilsa. Seems like my point accumulation for peace between both species was accidental.

@Krayzi: Lovely shots as usual. How were her arms bleached, by the way?

And about Ashley's hairstyle....as cute at it looks.......

......I can't stand it. Seriously. Like Miranda's, we're left wondering how the hair doesn't swing in front of her face. That would be just a tad bit distracting when fighting and not at all practical.

I was planning to do some alternative themes for the avenger and the predator just because of this, then instead of being annoyed you can laugh/cry seeing a pink hello kitty varient.
