ok, going back to my issue with dark roots...ive tried setting the 2 highlight vectors to different setting but cant see any difference....im missing something but dont know what

It might be easier to give something ridiculous first values, like really bright cyan and green to see where they make difference.

i tried that, all that changed was the colour of the hair shine....i dont think you can have multiple colours within the hair itself

of course i would love to be proven wrong

Well, highlights do only change the shine tint colours. Yeah, multiple colours by editing colour values only is not possible as far as I know.

why are some people so against armor that is shaped for the female form?

Women have boobs...where to they go if you have a flat chest plate?

http://bit.ly/I4IyEl

Really?
Are you really going to defend the incongruity of sculpted boob armour?

Listen, sunshine, the reality of the situation is that the armour in Mass Effect isn't shaped the way it is due to purposes of combat practicality and comfort.
They are a design element, and a thoroughly embarrassing one to boot. It was reasonably acceptable in ME1, which in spite of its futuristic design had a more or less utilitarian approach, but particularly Ashley's armour in ME3 is nothing short of ridiculous.
The fact that it is Ashley wearing it only compounds the problem, as she was always one to espouse functionality prior to her appearance in the third game.

Although it might surprise you to learn this, real women in real militaries are equipped to protect their chests rather than draw attention to them.

And finally, so as to eliminate any chance of you mistaking this for a prudish response: I very much like boobs.
I just prefer it when they are granted the benefit of a reasonable context.

/sigh... here we go... this why I rarely like having this conversation because it falls in to a strict black or white rigid deal and there is no room for any middle ground. It also boils down yelling about appearance instead of the character itself and the character is more than just appearance. Games are a visually medium visuals have to taking into count and that counts for both men and women.

@Wulfram  that is an awesome picture .

WOW!!! Siri is gorgeous!
Yeah, ELE and Ottemis did a great job. I feel the temptation to use those new mods on my non canon Mikaela. :)

Observation: Ash and Liara's armors are both recolored version of the default femshep N7 armor from ME2. So I guess Shepard's chest shrunk in ME3? xD

womens boobs dont shrink when not in use

It would not be boner-shaped, silly :D Here. Why do people hate the male form so much? Clearly Manshep's armor should be like that, well suited for the male form.

What? That thing wasn't intended for practical purposes, was more a decorative type of thing? Do you mean that a explicitly shaped piece of armor is not necessary because everything fits okay behind a plate that doesn't look like a body part?
Yeah, I agree. :)

Seriously now, I'm not fundamentalist about it. If it's practical, I don't mind. But the one Ashley is wearing in Mars for instance has the boob plate creating an edge that points toward her body, ready to break ribs the moment she takes a hit. Its sole purpose is to make her look sexier, and that is truly dumb. Sadly, this is the case for most models of boob armor, including most of the ones Femshep has available.

I don't think people  hate it, I took a few art classes and gay, straight, male  or female... the female form is just visually more pleasing to human eye and just a raw astetic level.   Of course Bioware PR throwing the Sexy around  knowing that in gaming  today,   dropping the word Sex is word that  dropping the N-word.

Honestly in  Ashley case there is no a enough tape  or a Sports bra in the world thats going to hide them very will.

I agree with the Fifth Element vibe. I also remind me a little of Stargate; specially the Synthesis one.

True, but, at least to me it looks like they boosted the boob area in ME3.

(bad pic put still; I didn't use that plate but it has to be different since it never popped the same way ME3 version did).

And people, don't get me wrong, I have nothing against boobs (I love 'em) but we are talking about armour here, not underwear. The whole purpose is to protect, not make character sexy or hawt.

I remember aislinn Trista read and shared an aritcle about female aromor in games, and the person had armor making experience and applauded Mass Effect for their armor on female characters, specifically for how the armor around the breasts were. Also it seems Ashley and Liara have their own body models now instead of just having the carbon copy of Femshep's body from ME1 and 2 even if their armor's are recolors of the ME2 default N7 armor with personal customizations ( personally like their From Ashes armor better than the N7-ish since they look like Phantoms and we all know how deadly they are) Mass effect armor's have always been practical, especially in femshep's department. Even her N7 defender armor (which Kallen wears through the entire game) is bulky but at the same it fits her perfectly and doesn't look like she'd be a turtle stuck on her back trying to do a combat roll.

Synthesis reminded of the opening pictographes from Lunar 2 Eternal Blue  but I can see the  Stargate resemblance as well.

Actually, that's not true. The article mentioned that the boob armor was impractical because it would crush a person's ribs if one took a heavy blow to the chest.

why does everyone talk about how deadly Phantoms are - I never had a real issue with them. one my Vangaurd I just charge them to death. or on my Sentinel I warp them then cyro blast them.
