and me, i liked the neutral because i liked having kyrie come off as a total icy b*tch much of the time. inside, human, messed-up person. outside, cold, cold, cold. and renegade often (in me1 and me2) came off as dirty harry 'i'm CAHRAZY!' to me, with neutral the cold commander act. so i pulled about half renegade and half neutral lines for her before, but in me3, that attitude translated to the full-up renegade lines.

anyhow, much as i wasn't a huge fan of the 'charm' stuff for da2 (some of the characterization there felt very forced), i did kind of wish they'd just pick a style for paragon, neutral and renegade and then stick to it a little more. the RP element differed fairly wildly from game to game in ME

I liked most of the charm options in DA2, but I get what you mean.  I would have liked finer granularity of the options.  I mean, there's "Renegade" in the sense that Shepard will do anything to get the job done.  "Renegade" in the sense that Shepard is an ****.  "Renegade" in the sense that Shepard is very pro-human.  Etc. Etc. Etc.  With the DA2 system you had options like "Diplomatic" and "Aggressive" to add various shades of grey.

 Hi, I haven't posted yet in the femshep thread, not to say I haven't been lurking. :)

Anyways, I had an idea I thought to share with the thread.  Photoshopping a photo in to your femshep.  Bioware did it with Tali, albeit hastily, so why not do it with femshep?

Of course we would put more work into photo-shep than BW put in to photo-tali.

On getty images I found a lovely pic that I think would work for a bunch of sheps.

Go ahead, give it a try.  I want to see what others think of this idea.:)

EDIT: so apparently getty doesn't allow image posting w/e.  here's the link http://www.gettyimag...assetType=image

Hi!
Kind of like making our own version of Shep for in a frame for their LI or somesuch?

We've 'done' photomanips ages ago, with Shep background in mind, we could I suppose always also build on that, or do it again. Anyways, I'm certainly not against the idea, it's cool, but let's brainstorm then what kind of thing we're actually doing yeah?

Which brings me to an excuse to post Raine's manip! Hah!
Image IPB

yeah, I don't remember ever seeing photo morphs of femshep before, so that's why I brought the topic up.  Awesome pic :)

@Ottemis: Nice manipulation. I like how the lighting of her face matches perfectly with the background. What was the inspiration for the background?

~~~
I posted this one a year ago. Not a manipulation based on background information, but more along the lines of personality and, well, I always liked throwing in some spiritual element on top of Devi:
Image IPB
~~
And this one I posted several pages back showing her "in" Akuze, shortly after her base camp's destruction. Part of me wants to add more damage to her face, but I was afraid of overkill:
Oh! Flies! That's right, was meaning to comment on the Akuze picture and completely forgot, so lest I forget again, I love it <3
The background for my manip isn't mine, I found it randomly searching, I have the sources listed on my devpage.
But @Madds17:
Let's brainstorm? Nothing like an intro into the thread like posting am idea that inspires creativity =)
The angel wing picture  ... awesome.
I would not add more damage to the face but  I would more damge to the armor and torso.  Broken arm and or shoulder maybe?
@DJ: It's gotta be a tough balance, that's what I assume. As is, I remember seeing an interview where they said they wanted to get rid of the 'neutral' options to force shepard to make hard choices and be pushed paragon or renegade and not sit the fence. (wish i could find it now). anyhow, i was kind of annoyed at that, because i tended to have kyrie say really neutral things, but i imagine that inside, she's using those 'flat' moments to buy herself time to make up her mind about things. and me, i tend to play 'mixed' alignments, because i find heroes that aren't all badass or shiny paladins are most interesting to me. i like heroes like mal reynolds who's a good guy, but would never admit it, that kind of thing. anyhow, i do feel part of the problem was they limited the range of shepard, and in the last game, when people are most likely to have decided that shepard is *their* character, not just bioware's vision, that's when they're going to notice the lack of choice most.
I also wish they had put neutral options in ME3, but for a different reason. I had this plan to play a "true neutral" Shepard through all three games. Only pick the neutral option and just see what happens. Who lives, who dies if you don't Charm or Intimidate? I don't know, but it would have been interesting to find out. I might have even recorded it and posted it to Youtube or something. It's just too bad I can't do that with ME3. Oh well.
@Ottemis: Is there a meaning behind the car wreck behind her?
@Chignon: I know you've posted some nice manipulations of Noah in the past. You must have something new?
@Nitefyre410: Yeah, that would be a better idea. It will be hard to do convincingly, but worth it. Looks like I have a little reworking to do.
When she ran with the reds, she wrecked a jacked car, it's how she got the ME1 scars.
So I was watching an episode of Star Trek: Voyager and saw this shot:
and thought, "OMG that is so Femshep!"
and soon after looked online to see if anyone made a Femshep that looks like Seven of Nine and, wouldn't you know it, I am pointed to page 485 of this thread.
All those FemShep photo manipulations are very nice.
My main FemShep, Renee, is a Spacer/War Hero. I chose it because it would mean she's not really all that damaged, except in my story, her father died when she was young. As for career, she's the most reluctant war hero in existence. Caught on Elysium with a training group from the Naval Exploration Flotilla, she led a small group in a heroic holding action.
I also see her as an incredibly ambivalent high-flying person. While she understands that she's a charismatic and highly capable leader, she's a little insecure (that's why she's in the dress uniform throughout all of ME3). Kai Leng on Thessia was the confirmation of her worst fears. Also, especially during ME3, she finds herself just tired of the killing. She's quite ready to set the guns up on the mantle, and do something different.
Before the patch, importing the original default would give you the 1rst preset face with a different mouth/hair color option. With the patch it gives you face structure #4 with a few tweak to make her look like former default; you can see right away that it's not her. Being on x box makes it hard to take pics; i'll give you the face code instead (yep she should not have a face code unless new options are added in the cc)
           441.M1A.A4W.269.EEL.63W.3E7.181.GF6.2F4.6G6.114
As you will see, that does not look like former default at all.
Tried out your code above in the ME3 PC Demo (Im playing Xbox first too). Not sure how different it might look using the demo cc vs. the full game vs. the full game with patch - some assets may not be present in the demo. Is this your girl? -
The eyes seem a little more down-sloped on the outside (than the default Jane from ME1>2). In fact, I think the preset #1 in ME3 (not pictured here. I'll capture some later for posterity) seemed to look more like Jane than this code. Tried to pick some shots where she looks more real and descript... and where her hair looks less like a wig lol. The beginning of ME3 seems to make a lot of the fem sheps look pretty generically the same (I've tried a bunch of different codes in the demo). At moments, I guess this code is reminiscent of the original Jane, but all the fems seem so toned down and pretty blah. Hope that squad screen shot isn't too creepy lol!
Another question SaturnRing - When you imported quick start Jane from ME1 to ME2, was your morph exactly the same as the quick start ME2 Jane? Hope that makes sense!
Umm… I'm pretty sure it's just the threading on her uniform being lighter and darker at some parts.
That's exactly what i get when i import former default Jane from ME2 save. I absolutely agree that the 1rst preset is closer to what she actually looks like. The eyes like you said are the biggest problem; even the curve of the mouth is wrong - along with so many other things. Your squad screen shot is a good one;  she is just creepy to begin with. That's pretty much the state of things as far as former Jane is concerned. I tried to tweak it a little and i could come up with a good face; nowhere close to Jane though. So i'm still waiting...this won't be fixed until they put her in, with her real features instead of trying to reconstruct her from the cc. The problem areas are her eyes (unique morph) as well as her noze. The cheek/jaw line morph are also unique - only her mouth can be found in the cc. The face structure #3 is actually the closest to me - but it is impossible to get a decent looking nose with it. The closest eye shape would be the last - they 're a smaller(a lot smaller) version of hers - but they are prone to clipping. I see that you posted more with another question. I'll edit and try to answer it.
Edit: Yes. In ME2 you get the same face whether you quick start with the default or you import ME1 default.
Image IPB
This isn't the best pic to make that kind of comparison; but what you have is 1rst preset from ME1 and default face from ME2.  But you can tell right away that they're vastly different from each other. 1rst preset has a more angular noze than default and her nostrils are closer to each other while default has a more rounded noze with nostrils further apart - this among other things...The skin texture is also different: 1srt preset has the one with freckles. The eyes outside corner too sit higher for default. I'm not even including the top pic in all this, cause she is not relevant to me.
I feel sort of alone (but welcome! ;)) here. Forgive me if I fail to articulate this well. I will give it a shot. I love all the background and stories everyone has developed and written for their Shepards. I admire every one of you who write, create art and seriously role play your Sheps.
I can't seem to do that completely. I have written fiction, both fantasy and science, but I find myself unable to delve too deeply into my Shepards. They are superficial characters to me. I focus on how they look and how they interact with the amazing galaxy Bioware has given us.
But I can't write for them or develop a deep background other than, Asche is a spacer kid who feels awkward on land and doesn't feel any real attachment to Earth as a homeworld. The galaxy is her home. Or Evie who got the hell off Earth as soon as she could and hasn't looked back. The reason why, I figure, is because Shepard is the character Bioware gave me.
Though I can tailor her some through appearance and certain decisions, Shep is not mine. The storyline is not mine.
I was actually thinking I should try to write a completely different character. Maybe focus on one of my multiplayer incarnations. I find myself thinking about those girls and where they came from than my Sheps.
Too much writing? Have some Asche. :)
@Ashoken -- I'm the same exact way. I don't know why I can't delve too deeply into Shepard other than the sandbox that we're given to play in, but I continue to be amazed by the nuances people find in their version of her. If anything, I most enjoy conversations about why we picked this choice or said this line to a character. One good example would be the many different ways the interrogation can play out in Thane's loyalty mission. That's how Shepard becomes personal for me.
