Great Stories - loved to read them all.
Also very nice screenshots around with unique FemShep's.

I have a question - some talking about *flying camera* Now I wonder how I activate this to make better screenies ?
Maybe someone can answer this - thx in advance :)

I've mapped flycam keys in this Coalesced.bin. All you need to do is replace the original with this.
www.mediafire.com/file/npdamdlqutcmr1p/Coalesced.zip

Numpad1 freezes the game, Numpad2 toggles flycam and Numpad3 toggles hud.

thx very much. Will try this out probably

@SkaldFish I agree with the others - she is close and very pretty, too :wizard: I had much luck so far witrh my FemSheps - not much tweaking was necessary.

Thanks, ELE; I appreciate the thumbs up, and I like the way you put that. Even though I can't really compare her ME2/3 appearances objectively anymore, I do feel like it's "her" when I play now -- which wasn't happening after the import (or before this "version", really). It's a tricky thing; I really can't put my finger on the changes that made the "essence" finally be there.

...and... I DID picture the dramatic hand wave. Impressive!

That too bad we can't have it available at the armoryImage IPB.

I know!

I did see it at the armory once, it was on the floor next to the the weapon mods table. When I went back it disappeared. I think it was after the mission in Tuchunka and I had the reaper gun in my hands when the mission ended.
If it happens again I'll take a picImage IPB

@Tup3xi - I can't remember ever seeing much of a written background on Tiia from you. I love it. I too wanted to play ice hockey as a kid, but my mom thought it was too dangerous. Luckily, I promptly forgot about it ten minutes later.

It was my longest post ever on any forums. Hopefully it was worth the read. It was rather late and I didn't have time to do proofreading and knowing me there was probably many grammatical mistakes and poorly constructed sentences. I have to say that I did enjoy writing it (even though it's more than likely nothing special - writing things has never been my strongest points).

I played a bit ice hockey in a team when I was a kid. I hated the early training sessions so I quit rather quickly, though. I did play rather long football but it started to be a bit too serious and I eventually had to quit it due to sport injuries. My knees couldn't handle it.

One positive thing about having those sport injuries is that I don't have to take part in military refresher courses. Thanks to stupid doctor in drafts I wasted 6 months of my live when I had to take a trip at one lone island near Helsinki. Luckily I wasn't stuck there long since I was put in C class (don't have to take part in army when it's peace) in med check up due to my knees. Still, it ruined my short term plans.

@Akodo
Just for fun I did add bunch of different FOV settings for rest of numpad keys so thanks for convincing me to lengthen my playthrough runs. :P

One thing about small FOV and shadow filtering in ME3... It will go crazy at least in my case. I have fiddled with shadows quite a bit though, but FOV 45 will look just fine for close ups (in most cases).

It was cool reading about Tiia. Man, she was adorable as a teenager. Those pranks she use to pull...i wonder where the inspiration came from for those Image IPB. Never tried ice hockey, but i did play the usual basketball/soccer. Surfing was my thing - though i had a few close encounters - that's why my Deirdre is a die hard surfer too.

I've read every background and I love how all our FemSheps are so fleshed out and different and
just awesome. Seriously, I love them all, such awesome stories!

Anyway, I decided to re-introduce Jennifer, my canon FemShep

Jennifer Shepard
Image IPB

Jennifer was actually my very first Shepard, however, she's changed drastically. From appearance to personality to even her class. At first, she had her hair down, and was an infiltrator, a pure paragon, a spacer and a war hero. When I made her, I didn't have in mind to RP her, or flesh her out. She was an avatar I used to see the game, pure and simple really, until she started to grow her own personality, and became her own person. So the hair was gone, replaced by a tight bun, and she became an Adept.

She was born a spacer, and early in her career became a war hero. Jenn's views on the alliance are close to reverence. The Alliance was her life from a very young age, with both her mom, Hannah Shepard, and Dad, John Shepard, being Alliance veterans.

While she'd always respected her parents, and the alliance, it wasn't her first choice as a career path. During her early teen years, Jennifer developed an affinity to all things related to drawing and art, however, due to her biotic powers, it was near impossible for her to actually get accepted in art school, so after quite a bit of convincing from her parents she joined the Alliance Military Academy on Arcturus.

She was soon recognized for her abilities as a soldier, and a biotic, which ultimately lead to her being chosen for the N7 program. Then the events of Elysium happened…etc.etc.etc.

Jennifer is my perfect soldier (who's sort of in decline). She's diplomatic (and manipulative when need be),
calculating, intelligent and pragmatic to many extents while not sacrificing her ideals. She's a good leader, and is quite charismatic, believing that the power of words is as strong as the bullets she shoots out of her gun, but doesn't hesitate to use her gun when words fail. She's also excellent at compartmentalizing, which helps her maintain conscious differentiation between her off duty and on duty selves.

On a personal level, Jennifer is supportive and caring to her friends and close ones, but isn't open
about anything related to herself. She prefers dealing with her own issues herself, by compartmentalizing and analyzing her feelings when it's convenient. It's a trait she'd developed during the amount of times she spent alone without her parents when they were deployed as well as the ups and downs and struggles with being a biotic.

She's had her share of skirting the regs, especially during the early years of being a soldier, and had her wild side; Drinking (in moderation mind you, those were not good with her biotics), dancing, strip poker, bar brawls and losing bets that ended up with her having to streak through the hallway of an hotel on Elysium. She's never outright broken them though, especially the fraternization regs, because no good ever came from that. There was an unspoken set of rules between Alliance officers when it came to fraternization:

Don’t do it, and if you do, don't get attached, and if you get attached, request a transfer.

Jennifer never needed to request a transfer, before Kaidan Alenko. In her defense, she never did realize what was happening until it was too late. She'd gotten attached, before she fraternized, and she was put in a position where she couldn't request a transfer, not until Saren was captured. She fully intended to request a transfer once the operation was over, and Saren was captured, because she wasn't willing to give up Kaidan.

She never regretted it though, Kaidan Alenko became many things to Jennifer in the short time they'd known each other on the SR1. He was a strong, disciplined biotic, something which she respected immensely. He was also her normal, he was her follower, but didn't need her guidance, he had his problems but didn't need her to fix them, he was just… there. And Jennifer never knew she needed that in her life, for someone to just be there until she tried it herself. He was her one selfish spot, she wanted him for her, and she isn't ashamed of it.

Image IPB

Image IPB

After the events of ME2, particularly her death and return, Jennifer's struggles began to surface. She was still the
strong, intelligent, and excellent leader, like she'd always been, but the cracks began to form. Her death, despite her denial, broke her and frightened her in ways she'd never imagined possible. The nothingness she faded into freaked her out, but she tries her best to compartmentalize it and not deal with it until the war is over, because any semblance of sanity she has left would be lost and gone if she tried to ponder on the fact that she died and returned. It did make her see one thing, her time in the galaxy is limited, and the galaxy as big and badass as it is, will most likely not give her another chance, so she became more resolute and determined to see this war through to the end, which is why her renegade bar filled up a bit more in ME2.

If you want to read her story, I finally decided to start posting my fanfic (Shameless self
plugging) you can do so here: Save the Hero

He's one of her best friends, even if they don't see eye to eye all the time (Jane still misses the old Normandy, even though she's quite happy with her upgraded cabin). They tend to get into verbal sparring matches: so far, they haven't figured out who's the King/Queen of Sarcasm yet.. She doesn't blame him for getting her killed and understands his attachment to the Normandy. It wasn't intentional, even though he's consumed with guilt.

YAY FemShep Question.

For Jenn, Joker during the span of 3 games moved from being the Ship's pilot to a friend and a little brother. She cares for him a lot, and he is generally considered a part of her pack.

She doesn't blame him for her death, at all, the thought never even crossed her mind. She does worry that his guilt would strain their friendship, but they're going solid, so yeah.

I have a question of my own, for non-Garrusmancing and Garrusmancing Femsheps, how do you feel about the development of the friendship between Shepard and space Batman?

Jennifer thinks of Garrus as her best friend, and her bro. They joke, laugh, comfort each other and fight together. I adore how that friendship developed through the 3 games from her being sort of a mentor, to friends, to best friends.

Great question. Jane was always ever so slightly attracted to Garrus but didn't vocalize these feelings until ME2 (after she and Kaidan went through a rough patch). Having died, she figured she might as well do whatever she felt she couldn't do in her previous lifetime.

Jane Elizabeth Shepard was my first Shepard - when a friend of mine gave me the game for Christmas,I didn't have particularly high expectations (in fact, I rather disliked the whole concept). One of my first questions was if I could create a female character. When I found out this was the case, I was intrigued: there are far too few strong female characters in video games. Creating her was lots of fun, if slightly  arduous. In the end, I settled for a character with relatively dark skin, big cheekbones, and a strong jawline. I wanted her to look tough but feminine.
She grew up in a crowded orphanage where very little personal attention was paid to her and where she had to sharea room with five other girls. All her personal belongings - mainly the old books she stole - often got stolen, and she would go through great lengths to retrieve them, more often than not with violence. At the age of fourteen she grew sick of this life and decided to join a gang. She quickly became one of its leaders due to her tactical skills and aggressiveness: all competition was swiftly, ahem, eliminated. At this point, she was quite cut off from her emotions.

After a few years, however, things went horribly awry during a bank robbery: one of the detonators went off early (or perhaps it was sabotaged: Jane was already in the bank at the time), and lots of innocent people - including a child - were killed. She made it out with a few bruises and other relatively minor injuries, but she was broken on the inside. After this event, she decided to join the Alliance and change her life for the better: the Normandy was her first real home, and its crew became her family. She tried to rub off her newly found paragon attitude on Garrus, with whom she grew incredibly close (at Kaidan's despair - I'd say he must've been a bit jealous of Space Batman's friendly talks with Jane) :P

Joker and Sarah is still and always will be great friends. Of course Sarah don't exactly approve of dying but she don't blame Joker at all and instead turned her death into another reason to tear the Reapers and their allies apart. They've known eachother since Sarah was 17 and when she went to Arcturus to live there until she turned 18 since she had no place to go after Mindoir. It was on Arcturus Station they both meet and two lonely kids just started talking and they got along just fine. Sarah got no problem with Joker at all, he's funny and always saying something to make the day better in his own way. In return Joker got the most loyal friend you can have.

@Mizz

I love of the friendship between Shepard and Garrus develop throughout the trilogy, it felt natural and after a while Garrus was one of the first persons that i always talked to just because how much i like him.

Sarah see Garrus as her closest friend on the Normandy, they're so much the same in how they think on the battlefield and regarding tactics and such that they naturally make an excellent team. Sarah very rarely talk about her own fears and if she's not 100% confident in herself or the mission but with Garrus that's not an issue. He understands and knows what to say to make Sarah shrug the problem of and keep on fighting. Garrus will always have a spot in her squad and he will always have a place in my heart as my awesome bro <3

Yay, I can use your post and answer both at once, MizzNaaa. :)

Kendra generally likes Joker, even if he gets on her nerves at times. Case in point, his whole tyring to cheer her up ending up just pissing her off instead.

As for Garrus, yeah, that's one of the things I liked that Shepard developed this real friendship with him if you didn't romance him. Kendra is with Kaidan, but she thinks of Garrus as one of her best friends. He's one of the few people that truely understands her and, well.. generally doesn't ****** her off.

As for Maria, hard to say since she's still in ME2 (I'm becoming like a broken record on that it seems), but she likes Joker a lot. His was the first familiar face she saw after she "woke up" after all.

As for Garrus, well, she's a Garrusmancer so that's all I need to say about that. :innocent:

RE: femshep and Garrus

"Goodbye Garrus. If I get to that bar, and you're not there, I'll be looking down. I'll always have your back"

That is all.

No seriously, my femshep romanced Liara all the way through but nothing hit me harder than that final goodbye to Garrus (Hale's delivery of that line was spot on) And that scene with Garrus on top of the Presidium is one of the most heart-warming moments in the game for me. Garrus/Shepard relationship (whether he's a LI or not) is one of the best developed character relationships I've seen in any medium.

I did post screenshots of her pages and pages and pages ago, but sure. And, I'll even post them in context. :)

Image IPB

Seeing the first friendly face since she "woke up". I just love that smirk.

Image IPB

The sole reason she's with Garrus. Well, ok, that pic and his personality, but that look tipped it in his favor for me. That was my wallpaper for over two years. Then I switched it to the one of Jane Shepard before ME3's release, and now it's this one.

Image IPB

I just had to test her face code in ME3. I was very nervous how she would turn out and I am very pleasantly surprised. No more duck lips!

Ok, back to the discussions. I am very much enjoying reading them. I am working on Kendra's background. I have it mostly done through ME2. I want to add the ME3 stuff like others have been doing. I won't put a timetable on when I'll have it done, just hopefully soon.

well the whole "He got me killed" pov is rather short sighted and I'm being polite in saying that, so  lets just say I disagree with that POV.   I have stronger words about it but I will refrain.

Short story - she is friend and crewmate , she would have done that for any one of the crew members.

Artemis holds no hard feelings towards Joker at all.  She knows that there was no way for either of them to know what would happen, it just did.  He might grate on her nerves sometimes but Joker is one of her best friends and she trusts him both as a pilot and as her friend.

As far as Garrus goes I absolutely loved how the relationship developed.  The friendship fit so perfectly with how I had always viewed the two.  Artemis has always been in love with Liara, but Garrus is bro.  In all 3 games Garrus is always in my squad without fail.  "Theres no Shepard without Vakarian" could not be more true for Artemis and Garrus.

This, for my Shep too.

And about that Joker question... She doesn't blame Joker for anything. Joker is her friend and important part of the crew. She doesn't automatically like every joke he pulls but mostly she's fine with them. She does take big sister stance towards Joker.

None of mine would have blamed him, but I expected him to blame himself, or there to have been afterthought.
There wasen't in ME2 and that did bother me plainly because it's a missed opportunity. Ofc some feel their Shep resents Joker for it and feel a need to engage him on it. Personally though, I wanted him to engage my Sheps about it, so they could set him at ease.

I'm glad we got to do something with that in ME3, that there was recognition that it might have had impact on their relationship on one hand, how they feel about eachother on the other hand, and thirdly, how they feel about themselves in light of it.
