So I decided to give the Lazarus mod a go to see how Hrist would look and was kinda surprised with the results. I was pretty happy with how she looked imported in to ME3 (she didn't look perfect but in most scenes it looked like her, or at least I thought it did), but having used the mod I'm not sure I can go back to the straight impot version.

Depending on the camera angle, or the lighting in the environment, things can go from looking pretty damn good to pretty damn horrendous and I'm guessing I'm going to have to use gibbed and start modding verticies (of which I have zero idea of what I'm doing) to fix them?

Her cheeks are the biggest problem, making her look like a hamster who's stuffed it's mouth with the entire contents of its cage, and they're also very uneven and straight edged, like there are too few pologons to make the shape. Her eyeballs clip through the lids pretty serverly, as well as her upper lip having a kink in it when viewing her profile. However the last issue was also there in ME2, but if I can fix it that would be nice.

I always thought she lost a bit of her uniqueness going in to ME3 and it would be nice to have her looking as close to her old self as possible once again.

Anyway a couple of comparison shots.

@Sage & Sable: Nice to see both Kyrie and Jessica back to their old selves and I'm glad you're both happy with how they look. :)

Just curious...is that mouth shape 1? Because I know it's bugged for lazarus (causes jagged chipmunk cheeks.)  I can't tell from the screens.  For Mizz, I had to go back into ME2 and use mouth 7 instead, which has the same shape.

You are correct, It is mouth shape 1. Both 1 and 7 look exactly the same in ME2 from what I can remember. Nice to know there's an easy fix for that problem though. I'll dive in to ME2 and make the changes and try again.

Thanks, ELE.

^ that happens throughout the game. and the order of preference, so far as I can tell, runs thusly: Wrex (most senior), Garrus, Kaidan, Ashley, Tali, Liara (i think, haven't fully tested liara/tali, so not sure which is which).

Point is, if you take wrex or garrus with you, ash and kaidan come off as TOTAL newbs. I found it kind of frustrating, really, esp. for Kaidan. given what we hear about him, he probably has about the same level of experience as garrus in the field - though w/ different kinds of ops, and ash, though less experienced, is hardly that newbish. i found if i took wrex or garrus along, the VS ends up really coming off as a total dork. take along tali or liara, however, and they come off as the mature, clear-headed older soldier, trying to look out for the younger member of the party.

anyhow, maybe that's just me, but i think a lot of the dislike of the VS comes from these moments where they say things that don't really fit their character in me1, given what other characters are saying and doing, and then you chat with them for a convo or two and they lay all this seeming non-sequiter stuff on you ('baat training bad!' 'i don't trust the guy who just took a rocket for me back on luna!') and you're left with a 'whaaa?'

yeah, like you gilsa, i think multiple playthroughs usually give a different perspective, but sometimes it's hard to overcome the initial dislike. i guess based on your recommendation, i'll have to try to be nice to javik. :pinched:

I agree that game limitations makes certain squadmates appear as newbies. There's just not enough available concerning Ash or Kaidan. Apart from Eden Prime i don't think Ash has seen much action - probably because she was blacklisted. As for Kaidan, after BAaT, there's not much either.
If i were to scale the teammates field experience: Wrex, Kaidan, Garrus, Ash, Liara and Tali would be the right order. I usually base my perception of them on conversations mostly. I did give Javik the benefit of the doubt from the beginning and he turned out not so bad. I appreciate that he doesn't have a naive view of the state of the universe; he just needs to tone it down a little.

I find Javik very believable and a change from all the squadmates you have. Just imagine it was you, who was born into a world where war with the Reapers is everyday business, you see everyone get killed by them. Then you get cryo-freezed and wake up 50000 years later. You don't know anyone, the world that you've known isn't there anymore and your whole race is wiped out. I'm pretty sure that I would be much like Javik if i was in his situation.

Yeah the poor dude was practically bred to inspire hate for the Reapers and be the ultimate Warrior. Doesn't leave much for anything else.

Exactly...and that is why I don't get people who say they hate Javik because he's too extreme (not in this thread, just to clarify^^)
And to make it more femshep related: Dawn admires Javik in this regard because he seems to be pretty calm despite all that has happened to him and his race.

To be honest, I'm actually pretty happy with how Holly Shepard looks in ME3. Her profile and face seems a tad more smooth and her uber duck lips are gone. The only thing I messed with was her color values, because they were all really off.

I may, however, try this mod on Faith. She didn't turn out quite how I wanted in ME3. I was actually pretty surprised how all my characters managed to come through unscathed or even improved when I just put in their face code and did a few minor tweaks.

Especially Moira. Holy crap. =-) Too bad I'm just not motivated to play.

Altered gibbed colors, Mac and Holly:

I played with hair highlights a TON on Mac, because just putting in the RGB value for hair doesn't cut it on it's own. I wanted that nice coppery color. So, I took her base color and lightened it up/made it more shiny (for the highlights) and it became pretty similar to what it was in ME2.

(and yeah, that's about as far as I got with Mac before I quit playing.)

Honestly, you need poeple who think like him - and balance it out with a dose of Liara optimism. Too many poeple just don't get how dire dealing with the Reapers is. I still can't get over the fact that some Quarians admirals tried to pull the rug from underneath Shep - as well as the Dalatrass - and engage in petty conflicts of interests. I wish they could have seen what he's seen.

I liked both Ash and Kaidan for completely different reasons. It was always a struggle for me to chose between the two. I have 6 femsheps and I split it down the middle. in three games (Quinn, Octavia and Xiu) Kaidan is alive. In Roslyn, Penny, and Nora's games Ash is alive.

I like the dynamic in Penny's game. Penny is pretty reserved and Ash is very outspoken. I think sometimes Penny feel's she let her mother down (is a spacer). as a daughter pretty much groomed to be an alliance soldier she would up spending most of her time playing around with engines and techy stuff. she's an all out engineer. In a perfect world she would have fallen for someone like Kaidan, another career soldier, but part of the reason she found the idea of being in space was to meet other races. The moment she met Thane was life changing for her. In my current game Penny just had to say her final goodbyes to him last night. I do believe the stress of everything might unhinge her a bit. She already went from a by-the-book full paragon in the first game to taking risky choices and and developing a bit of an attitude in ME2 because she was distraught about working for Cerberus .. she kept that attitude in my current game. After letting the raccni go in the first game..she didn't give the queen a second chance.

Have you installed the specific runtimes that the Lazarus mod needs ?

I think so. Did everything the thread told me to. It won't load. Could just be my mojo. If something can go wrong with a computer or a program, it will happen to me. :)

For instance, as I was typing this, my screen went completely black, as if the connection between the monitor and the computer had been severed. Everything is connected tightly. Ha.

Cant decide.

In game.

They use two different face codes but I'm conflicted between my original #2 and the gibbed #1 I created.
So I'm reaching out and asking for opinions. I tried the default face texture on #2 but it looked weird even with all the make up tweaks etc.. The hair change is due to the face texture and body not matching up along the neck.

Finished April Ryan Shepard (a cookie for anyone who knows where that name comes from)

Image IPB
"Tell your friends we're coming for them ... if it's not too much of a bother. (A pragmatic paragon.)

Image IPB
Tali was exiled and April had sided w/ Legion in the argument in ME2. In the final she chose destroy, so both the Quarians and the Geth end up dead in the end.

Image IPB
Have to say, the femshep/Garrus romance is the best in the game.

Image IPB
Shepard: What do you call it when a big spikey monster carries off the girl?
Garrus: A date.
Shepard: You better believe it.

Image IPB
Shepard: Garrus? What did you do with the sheet? My feet are cold!
Garrus: I know! Why the hell do you think I'm all the way over here? Turians hate the cold!

I have to say Jennifer Hale did an outstanding job on this one too. It's one thing to see the final w/ Garrus on youtube and quite another to experience it in game. It's been said before. ME3 may have its problems, but the voice acting wasn't one of them.

#2 does it best in my taste. Also that hairstyle is better suited for combat, gives her an authoritative look. She looks badass.
