Pimping a fic I've been beta-ing for a friend, since she's too bashful to post it in here.  In The Dying of the Light, jtav's come up with a pretty solid FemShep concept in Rachel.  And because it's jtav, you can expect some FShep/Miranda romance blossoming...  >.>

WOW JECW... Elizabeth is gorgeous.... I like her( like I like Nine n Liv but maybe not quite as much). Is she an infiltrator....notices the sniper rifle on her back.

No she's sentinal. I just always seem to  make my Shepards biotics.  I do love that sniper rifle though.

Miranda's somewhat fan over hear(me). Great Rachel concept and great read. Really looking forward to some femshep/Miranda romance.

Well, dang, I love Aki. And it's really cool to see how her hair, face and approach has changed a bit.

She's honestly one of my favorite Shepards in the thread in terms of looks, and there's a lot to choose from.

I always have trouble being complete renegade. I'm usually paragon.
I'll probably try being more renegade with Elizabeth.

Chiara in ME1 grows to a Paragade o.O ( she was meant as a pure Renegade - but oh well - after talking the suicidal slave girl from Akuze out of the idea to kill herself she seems to grow softer )

@ the marshall: yes, yes, and again, yes. that is why that stargazer section really stuck in my craw. shep's been flesh and blood from the first. hearing her become a myth is not exciting or meaningful to me. it hurts, actually. kyrie never wanted to be a legend. she frankly didn't care.

But on happier notes, 



I am really pleased with my custom coloring for her. Prolly doesn't really show as a big difference in screenies, but i can sure tell in game. from a distance, her eyes looked royal blue and her hair greenish and now all is blending nicely with game colors and looking about right again. Makes a week of futzing around with gibbed all worth it. :happy:

@Flies -- I adore your drawing of Nemain. I love that you've put thought into what she looked like before she started down the long road.

@Yuki -- re: the wonky eyes. Yeah, NO KIDDING. There are two moments in the game that I adore for stylish screenshots (to use as wallpapers) and those happen to be where the eyes get all screwy, ugh. (One is when she takes the pilot seat next to Cortez -- the lights are just beeeeautiful. The other is she drops down from a wall in No Man's Land -- that one could have been an awesome "look at the camera while walking" moment, but ... dem eyes. Probably can fix it in PS by adding eyeliner or something. Too lazy, atm.)

@krayzi -- It can take me a month to draw something what takes others a mere 30 minutes of "quick doodling." I've made my peace with this. Easiest if you decide what medium you want to dabble in and then just stick with it. Improvements come in time, but your creations are all your own. I've seen all types of fan art of FemShep from stick drawings to masterpieces and they're all embraced because people just want to celebrate FemShep. Just jump in the fanart water -- it won't be so cold after a while. BTW I like your constant haircolor changes throughout the game. Been fun to see the screenshots.

@sage -- It's so cute watching you perfect Kyrie. I love your in-progress screenshots. I even enjoyed your comparison of eye shapes before you took that whole post down. ("Oh, she's right, that does look a little more wide eyed. I probably should write this down.") I've already played my canon three whole times. I'm really trying to not play AGAIN and just wait for 1) extended endings and 2) new armor DLC (if any) because I'd totally pay for a new outfit, especially if it looks anything like what the alliance soldiers wear. It's weird. I played ME1 in that subpar armor with the red stripe on the side of her arm because that was Shepard's iconic look, right? Then I put her in Kestrel for ME2 to represent her temporary break from the Alliance and head-canoned that TIM gave her fancy upgrades in the meantime. I had intended for her to go back to the iconic red stripe look for ME3 to complete the circle, but I ended up feeling disconnected from the Alliance soldiers, Anderson, the VS, and so on since they went the other way with their redesigns and new blue colors.

@Deviant Ingredient -- I really like how messed up Shepard's childhood was, how she ended up being a tool of others before she found her inner fighter. Pretty creative with finding the source for the mother's cancer. Good write up.

@viggorrah -- I probably spent more time looking at that animation than reading the rest of this thread. =D

@raz -- Both look good on her. I probably would decide the armor based on who was going to be in her squad. Reckoner-Knight if Garrus is around in his default armor because similar colors and hues make good harmony for screenshots when they're together. If you're just going to play with whoever, Inferno armor provides a great contrast with her black hair and puts the focus on her face. (Reckoner can be distracting with all the details and spikes on shoulder.)

@yuki again -- What's the difference with Liara's romance if pre-existing or not? She's the one character I have not romanced so no clue at all on how it plays out.

@LadyAly -- re: Make-up/hairstyle -- Make up is not important (although I did gib in thicker eyeliner so her eyes would look consistent with her other eyes from ME1/2) and I would have preferred to keep the same hairstyle I had (sexy), but the style was altered enough that it didn't feel the same anymore. I ended up picking the classic hair to indicate passage of time and because I liked how it was tucked away behind her ears. Jack having a longer hairstyle for similar reasons made Shepard's change easier for me to accept and move on without having small nagging doubts.

Oh you haven't seen me draw anything xD Maybe when I spent a few months with a drawing I can manage something that remotely resembles a human being:unsure: And fanfic? I suck at writing and english is not my first language so no thank you^^

Bolded: I know you asked Yuki but maybe I can answer it too (if you don't mind)...the difference is that there is almost no difference...maybe a few lines differ from a non-romance import but that's it

re: armors, I actually do like the n7 stuff. i played around with it for kyrie for a while before just sticking her in the jumpsuit. in ME2, since she's sort of 'merc' for a while, it seemed to fit her. in me1, she was always in n7 onyx X

D'aww. No, I love Aki. She's cute, and she looks very... real. She looks like a world saving soldiery type, but also the girl next door.

I LIKE complexion 2, mostly for the light scarring across the face. It does make Shep look like she climbs mountains and gets a bit of windburn in her spare time. Buuuut I can get where it wouldn't be a favorite for everyone. I'd say go for it on Marianne. It does seem to work a lot better with non-smilely mouths in general. And it's an easy way to get some weathering on your Shepard without renegade scars or ME1 scars.

@Wulfram: I don't think it makes Marianne look "old" per se. Just a little bit lined and weathered, like the stress of carrying the galaxy on her shoulders is getting to her.

@Sage: I agree, 2 is a tricksy one. It varies wildly in different lighting.
