@raz -- Both look good on her. I probably would decide the armor based on who was going to be in her squad. Reckoner-Knight if Garrus is around in his default armor because similar colors and hues make good harmony for screenshots when they're together. If you're just going to play with whoever, Inferno armor provides a great contrast with her black hair and puts the focus on her face. (Reckoner can be distracting with all the details and spikes on shoulder.)

Thanks for the advice... I can say Garrus n Liara are almost always in my parties no matter the shep I'm playing...but I use the other characters alot...Javik since Selena is a vanguard gets good time because of his biotic abilities especially 'Dark Channel'...and he's in alot for trolling banter which is absolute comedy...LOL.

@yuki again -- What's the difference with Liara's romance if pre-existing or not? She's the one character I have not romanced so no clue at all on how it plays out.

There's this weird back and forth between being treated like a friend and being treated like a lover. Like, it could have worked but it was paced very awkwardly. A lot of the scenes play out exactly the same as a friend with no variation. During her "date" on the Citadel you basically have to stop her and be like "I want to be more than just friends" when you talk to her, since the convo is exactly the same as if you're friends. The whole 'confirmation' of relationships mechanic is really hamfisted in general in this game, but it's fairly glaring in this case. It just could have been handled better by adding variation in dialogue if you had been romancing her previously or something. It threw me off, as much as I actually like Liara's relationship.

Then again, it did make scenes where I had previously felt like Liara was forced a bit too much on Shepard feel more organic. It's a bit of a tossup, really.

Yeah, I wish they would have added a bit more 'romance' to a few of those scenes (like the time capsule one).

I believe Liara's writer stated that she would have added in something small (like, Liara placing her head on Shepard's shoulder if romanced) in hindsight.

I LIKE complexion 2, mostly for the light scarring across the face. It does make Shep look like she climbs mountains and gets a bit of windburn in her spare time.

And since Marianne is an outdoorsy Colonist with a fondness for cross country skiing, that fits.

Thanks, everyone.

Glitch or Liara half in stealth ;P ??

She (Talitha?) tends to do that to my Shep too. I always have a more positive outlook after talking to her. Liara in stealth camoImage IPB. I use barrier right before cutscenes to get that effect. Cool.

It's combination skin texture of Eva n Allers found here : social.bioware.com/project/4811/

Btw...just as I did in femshep chat... That pic is HILARIOUS!  Looks like Jane is trying to entice Garrus into some calibrations...

@Wulfram -- my most recent game was with the #2 complexion. I didn't think it made her look old, just more character. Some others say weathered, but I thought "more realistic." Anderson doesn't have great skin. Liara's got detailed scales on her face. Joker has markings on his face simliar to #2. I had her romancing Traynor and when I saw those two gals together, Traynor had the baby smooth skin while Shepard looked more seasoned, which just made me like #2 even more. I didn't think her skin was noticable half of the time in scenes. Sure, bad lights happen, but it's really not a bad texture overall.

Comparison shots of skin texture detail in the game and how skin #2 fits in just fine.

@yuki and krayzi -- Ah, thanks. (Clarifying Liara's romance.)

It's a bit weird that they didn't, seeing how she seems to be Bioware's baby and especially seeing how successfully that was done in Garrus's romance.  I was absolutely floored by all the animation differences with a romanced vs non-romanced Garrus.  Even if the dialogue wasn't that different, he and Shepard were constantly reaching out to touch each other.

Yeah, windburn is about what you'd expect on a outdoorsy 32 year old, ESPECIALLY a skiier. Hell, I have a little in the right light (musher) and I'm only 24. That's sort of what sold 2 for me. It's a very... natural weathering. Assuming your Shepard likes to be outside in the cold and high wind and sun. Or heat, high wind and sun.

The wrinkles are a nice touch -- the woman's under a lot of stress -- but they're also there in 3.

Yep, the dynamic of Liaramance was pretty weird in ME3. I had a few "gah i have to stick with it" moments where i just closed my eyes and ears and pressed the "say the awkward thing" button. Like that "i want to be more than friends" option which actually went against everything that happened in first games. Oh wale
/here i get kicked for offtopic i guess but i couldn't help myself

There are clear advantages to being alien (except if you romance Garrus); Garrus is like 'if you don't mind'...probably a little aggravated. I would be close to passing out - specially considering how it is designed in the back.

I don't think there were any that awkward moments with Liara ("lets stay friend" point of view) BUT the talk with Aethyta was beyond my comprehension, though. To me it looked like she thinks that Shepard and Liara are lovers when that's definitely not the case (especially if you pick the renegade interrupt option).

@ the marshall: yes, yes, and again, yes. that is why that stargazer section really stuck in my craw. shep's been flesh and blood from the first. hearing her become a myth is not exciting or meaningful to me. it hurts, actually. kyrie never wanted to be a legend. she frankly didn't care.

I totally feel the same way. Even though I love much of the ending, I think the stargazer scene is absolute garbage, meaningful only as a storyteller's comment to reject dream-centered interpretations like indoc, which it failed to do to some extent.

Base shape the same, influenced by offset. I wouldn't know how to sort that, possibly something to be found on the webs, I'll have a look. Bigger chance our resident aficionado might have an answer, namely ELE.

Edit:

What Project Lazarus does is copies the ME2 data and translates them to their ME3 equivalents. These points are stored in a LOD_mapping.xml file which can be reused. Features like eyes or mouth can be removed from the map, and a new map made, if better results are achieved without the ME2 data.

But I don't know how heh. I've personally not had a go with the lazarus project, so that's the best I can do atm.

hmm i think your right, but ive no idea how to fix this...hopefully ELE will know when he sees this

like i said, its not a real issue but i would like to see how she looks with different eyes

anyone have any ideas?

I don't know how anyone keeps up with this thread. All the glorious Shepards dazzle me too much. The question about make up a couple pages back:

Make-up isn't important to either of my canon Shepards. It is important to me. I'm watching them, so I want to be able to see their eyes, not see them looking washed out (even though that's what they'd look like w/o the make-up). I'm willing to suspend my disbelief far enough to bring out Asche's eyes or put a little gloss on Evie's lips.

It's like Allers (eek) says about reporters in the past having to cake on the make-up to take off the shine of the lights.

Asche started out with minimal make-up.

She must have spent some of that six month house arrest playing with the make-up machine ala Fifth Element.

Garrus is different b/c he can't be romanced newly in ME3.

With Liara, they had to accomodate new romancers too...of course, the 'friend' stuff fits well there but it seems it got reused in a few spots with the continuing romance, unfortunately.

Liara's did have those little moments but there were just a few odd places b/c of that.

I'll probably try being more renegade with Elizabeth.

Well, to be completely honest, playing Renegade is hard at first. But, I got to the point where it's not me. It's her story. I just happen to be along for the ride. Then I just was able to sit back and enjoy the "WTF did she just do?" and "OMFG, did she actually say that?" moments.

As much as I enjoy the "feel good" moments of playing Maria, my Paragon Shep. Playing Kendra is just pure entertainment. Yes, I am odd. Why do you ask?

Oh, and have a shot of Kendra:

Lorewise 2 years after Akuze she joined the Militair. Means she was 18 then.
