Hey, I'm trying to figure out some timeline stuff for (sigh) fanfiction.

When did Shepard join up with N7? Say.... before or after Akuze...

Lorewise 2 years after Akuze she joined the Militair. Means she was 18 then.

Hum, are you sure you aren't mistake Akuze (sole survivor) for Mindoir (colonist)?Image IPB

About Akuze and joining N7, I think we lack of data... personnally, I figured she joined the N7 after Akuze but other put it before... So I think it's up to you to decide.

Shepard is confused about the timeline too

Alright, wrote a roughdraft of Kas's life that's been floating in my head for awhile now. Tell me what you guys think.

Name: Kassandra Shepard (Kas, Kassy)

Height: 5'4"

Weight: 110lbs

Tattoo: Black Raven wings on her back.

class: Adept

Bonus: Barrier

Very poignant. Really enjoyed reading it.

Thank you.  I actually had several different versions running around in my head but ended up liking this one the best. Also sorry for the late response, I was sleeping. ^^;

@Gilsa: Thanks, since it stated in the codex how some of the children exposed to eezo developed cancerous growths I figured it was very possible for the mothers to develope it too. Earthborn Shep was a bit of a challenge to create an Adept. The codex never explains how strong humans are without implants but it does say that 10% of the children had telekinetic abilities so obviously they could do something noticable.

@The hair/makeup question: My Shep prefers ponytails but in ME2 since she was rebuilt I gave her the classy hair, it was kinda messy and just shy of being comfortable ponytail length. In ME3 it grew out so up it went. The few strands loose just fit her so well. Not sure what Bioware has against bangs though. As for makeup, she goes with the natural look just so she doesn't look like a zombie to her friends.

@Hadeedak: The ME timeline would have Shepard be 23 when Akuze happened. Elisium she was 22 and Torfan she was 24.

So I decided to try Ash's hair on Allison now and this is what i got when I layered it over Aller's hair mesh( to cover for all the scenes where casual clothes take over instead of armor).

Ash's Hairstyle - layered over top of Allers' hair...

I like the inferno armor on her the best.

I'm still unable to fix the mom hair with the #7 face shape. No clue why it doesn't work.

This is Elizabeth.

Wow she looks great!!! Really dig the short hair and the no nonsense look :)

So far playing at Jen has been the most fun I've had in mass effect.  I really enjoyed making up a story about her traumatic past (all her families died from raiders and hence she became quite ruthless in getting things done and making sure that no one got in her way), but then how that was insufficient given all the situation she found herself in.  I had to keep asking myself what would I do in her shoes so that I was staying true to her character, but at the same time pushing her to grow as well....IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!   I don't know if anyone else has similar experiences...

Yeah, my FemShep was given an offer she couldn't refuse to go special forces after Elysium. Friends in high places, and a nice little note in her Permanent Military Record, making her sound really bad.

OTOH, I had an idea with this image over the past day:

Krogan: What are those?
Shepard: These are breasts. Female humans have them for two reasons. One is for suckling children. The other is driving men insane. Unless your her (points at Miranda). Those are just for the later purpose.
Miranda: Shepard! Not in public!

It seems alot of us around here feel the sameway as you when we play our 'canons'. Me, I have the joy of feeling it twice...since I have made Selena a co-canon since she is a Renegon to Allison's Paragade...different styles of play but both FUN  and awesome all the same...not to mention they are both Vanguards.

It's unclear when Shepard joins the N7. However, the impression to me is that it is after Akuze or any of the military background events. The military background event would be what really gets attention on Shepard to be worthy for such a position. Heres a complete mass effect timeline I use it frequently when I'm writing my fics, it seems to be fairly accurate.

seconded and seconded. The background stories all take place fairly far before the in-game events. I wanna say elysium is the 'oldest' backstory, happening 7 years before me1 starts, akuze is 6 years before, and torfan is the most recent at 5 years prior. So one has to figure that while *that* event gets notice of the brass, it's not going to be that alone that gets nihilus interested in shepard for a spectre. i have to figure that backstory event got shepard into the N7 program and since then, Shepard has been impressing military folks - likely with covert missions, since civilians don't ever mention them.

um....yeah. i may have spent a time or two pouring over the wiki as well with that. =]

Well, I did every quest I could find. If the Renegade option meant I'd refuse to take the quest, I'd take the neutral option, but then take Renegade options after that.

I'm always wondering if there should be subtleties on how Elysium was won that the public would be unaware of(probably). Or it is as it sounds. I guess the Alliance Brass would know about that. Although it's pretty much up to us to put down the facts.

Everyone has died in this playthrough, the scene where Joker lists the names of people you've lost during the course of the game was almost comically long... sheesh.

At least your Shepard still has EDI. She looks very... Pragmatic is the first word that comes to mind. Where does Joker list the lost? I'm spacing on that. Someday I plan on a depressing import with a high level of corpses... But I'm wallowing through my second playthrough as is...

And I'm actually one of the people who likes 95% of 3. I'm just stupidly busy.

@SaturnRing: Definitely. I think in the non War Hero back stories, the defense of Elysium was a lot more like Bataan or Dunkirk, with the defenders loosing, or being pushed back a lot more. A single leader changing the tide of battle? Makes sense.

Because of how the character is played, I also had my War Hero FemShep decline a chance to be in the Special Forces before Elysium. She wanted to be more of a warrior-explorer. Think Robert Peary going to the North Pole, or R. E. Byrd in the Antarctic.

@Wulfram -- my most recent game was with the #2 complexion. I didn't think it made her look old, just more character. Some others say weathered, but I thought "more realistic." Anderson doesn't have great skin. Liara's got detailed scales on her face. Joker has markings on his face simliar to #2. I had her romancing Traynor and when I saw those two gals together, Traynor had the baby smooth skin while Shepard looked more seasoned, which just made me like #2 even more. I didn't think her skin was noticable half of the time in scenes. Sure, bad lights happen, but it's really not a bad texture overall.

Comparison shots of skin texture detail in the game and how skin #2 fits in just fine.
Face Texture comparion

I have to agree since how Angelo's face turns out on my current playthrough, it is in fact that you can create a ratherly 'weathered' face of Shepard, but with good tweaking, this complexion could fit in to those femshep who was in toughest battle from their background. If there's a complexion which has a few wrinkles in it, I wonder how many of us would dare to try that out? XD

Garrus has a lot of those great lines. :)

I'm glad I paired Maria (my canon Shep) with him. And, yes, you should play a Garrusmancer someday. ;)

After Sanctuary, iirc. Miranda died and he just started naming names. There was an awkward pause between each name too, it was actually pretty funny. This playthrough was more of a comically renegade no RP test run, so it didn't really have much of an emotional impact for me. :?

OH my goodness :pinched: I shouldn't write things 2 minutes before I go to bed with eyes barely open. I messed the names totally up - but I hope you can forgive me - it was 1 am.
In fact i was searching for this, too. Chiara is colonist/sole survivor/soldier - and so I left the date out at her small backstory I posted yesterday.

About Garrus - I think it is the best romance in the whole series. So I really need to get Carry to work so she feels ready to play. - Istill fiddle on her colors and the different imported face. Lazarus wont help me either.

Pimping a fic I've been beta-ing for a friend, since she's too bashful to post it in here.  In The Dying of the Light, jtav's come up with a pretty solid FemShep concept in Rachel.  And because it's jtav, you can expect some FShep/Miranda romance blossoming...  >.>

I was sure you were going to say Liara/Miranda romance, but this'll work just fine. :wizard:

Sadly I won't have time to do any reading until tomorrow, but I can say from experience that jtav's writing is no cause for bashfulness. :)
