Not Kaidan! Why? Though Ashley was in the manshep trailer, so...

As much as I would have liked to have Thane in that trailer, I have to say Kaidan makes the most sense being the opposite to Ashley. Thane and Jacob in ME3 are clearly under lockdown, and Garrus would have scared newbies away from the game. No offense to Garrus romancers, I love Garrus, but people who don't know him are going to be really weirded out by the dinosaur alien. Thane technically could fall under that part too.

As for Horizon, Rylie is going to go with the forgive and forget approach. She is frustrated by the situation, yes, but she hates Cerberus, Akuze being one of the reasons why. Kaidan being her biotic buddy would know this very well. It's completely understandable to her why Kaidan would have not trusted what was going on because that is very bizarre to see her trotting around the galaxy with Cerberus.

I liked Kaidan even more because of Horizon. Him and Ashley had a quad on them to stomp their foot down at Shepard and say 'this excrement ain't gonna fly, Shepard." It was nice to have someone call her on the Cerberus thing, since two years before Cerberus and Shepard were exchanging bullets. I personally kind of wanted to punch Shepard in the throat for that, Kaidan was down right nice to what I would have done had I seen my supposedly dead friend/lover in that same situation.

Plus, we really don't know what all 'information' TIM let the Alliance find out about Shepard. It is clear that TIM feed them false info. Via TIM's manipulations the VS might think Shepard was doing some pretty heinous things for the terrorists. And even if that isn't the case Shepard still worked for bloody terrorists no matter how necessary it was.

Wondering exactly what Kaidan is going to say about Bahak. The first couple dialogue rolls with him are going to be interesting... O_o

Shepard had no dialogue option for Horizon like:
"...sorry, I'm stuck on this railroad and haven't found a way to jump the tracks."
So I guess the VS's irritation is understandable.

you are  correct. I used it just recently, it was like one of the bottom right choices. It's possible that some people miss it because they are used to that being a "renegade" response, but it wasn't this time.


I decided that Penny (my canon femshep) is taking out her hatered on having to work with Cerberus on people that are getting in her way.  she's a spacer and a war hero, she wants nothing to do with Cerberus, but she is stuck there.  (sorry guy that got pushed off the ledge) she is usually pretty paragon, but sometimes. lol

My Jane wants to explain everything, but he doesn't listen. And that line "You betrayed me" convinced me that everything is over between Kaidan and my Shepard.
But I love that scene when they just meet each other on Horizon.

If in ME3 Kaidan wants to explain his side of the story to Jane, will she bother to listen? Or will she cover her ears and chose never to forgive him?

Both Shepard and Kaidan were in the wrong of what was said on Horzion, Kaidan (if romanced) at least bothered to send a letter apologizing for what he said after he had a chance to cool down. Shepard apparently doesn't know how to click 'reply to sender.'

Kaidan and FemShep were played and manipulated. Horizon went the way it did because Anderson and TIM did certain things. Anderson stonewalled Shepard and Kaidan! TIM well i doubt i need to tell what he did since Shepard confront him about it after the mission. It's going to be so exciting to see what happens in ME3 between them

Would be have been easier if Anderson had explained to Kaidan...

Well, since Kaidan has been roasted in a nuclear explosion, Talia will instead have to ask Ash to tell her side of the story... and I really want to hear it.
Seriously, for that one scene on Horizon I really wanted to knock her on her ass so she would listen to me, sadly the game didn't give me a choice

EDIT: Yeah I know, both sides got played by their respective superiors, that is also something that I hold against Anderson (even though I still like him, same goes for Ash).

My Shepard Cameron will gladly listen. She can forgive and hope that they can move past this.

Olivia will listen. She can forgive, but she won't forget what he said to her. She doesn't want to work anything out. She's decided to move on.

Why wouldn't Kaidan be in the trailer? BioWare operates under heteronormative lines of thinking (women save Kaidan bc they're attracted to him, dudes save Ash because they find her hot, etc). I was surprised to see Kaidan with DudeShep in that one promo pic, honestly. So it makes sense that Kaidan would be included in that trailer. Now if they are adding him as the romance for FemShep in the trailer (I'd rather my player character promo material keep defined romances out) then I might be kind of meh on it, but whatever.

Garrus is already prominently featured. The rest of them have been reduced to bit roles. It would be pretty silly to include them (and any of the ME2 crew) when they are, essentially, (and without spoiling anything) NPCs.

Or because BW designers had a mandate to make her sexier like with Ash and SPOILER. I don't know what makes me sadder: that they did it for ME3, or that they admitted to doing it in the art book?
