Are there any Nihlus fics that don't center on sex in some way? The only time I've ever seen an author get inside his head was for a few brief sections in The Beautiful Indifferent that were quite poignant.
That I do not know. And for the bolded part: is that really the case? O_o
Ah...  It's really just speculation on my part based on the various requests I've seen regarding him (Nihlus/Saren, Nihlus/Shepard, etc.)  I've never actually read any of those but... would it really surprise you?

edit: Where is my crown?  I demand to be crowned king of the terrible TotP posts!

My Thane-Fanbook Page.
It's not nearly as nice as everyone else's, but what the hell, it's the thought that counts :)

So, here it is B). My "Siha" Mei Lin :D - Colonist, Ruthless, Engineer.
Renegade in ME1, Paragon since ME2.
Chinese mother, English father.
Three siblings - two elder brothers, one sister (twin)I'm working on more detailed info, but I couldn't help myself, I had to show you some  pictures of her.

@bettak - I can definitely see "her" in there, even with the new hair, no scars, and a different facial texture. Those lips and those eyes really capture her essence.

Then again, I've been called "blind" for thinking that ME2 Alice and ME3 Alice look anything alike.

But what a face. Is the ME3 one using Texmod? If not, what's the facecode cos that's stunning.

LOL thank you.
I didn't have "matching" face texture when I made her in ME3. Now I'm eager to go to ME3 and try her again .:D

And thank you Meonlyred and Greggy ^_^. It's Texmod, I believe it's Hrist face texture by Ottemis ;)

Because I'm a masochists I started a new femshep. It's been a long time since I played through ME1.

I forgot how awesome Nihlus was. I always thought it a shame he was killed off so early but I suppose it was for the best since shep would have been stunted under his wing like how Garrus is described in the shadow broker dossier. I would have loved to do a romance with him since his character is so interesting. I love those green eyes of his too, they really pop against that dark brown plating and I don't think I've seen another turian with the same 'skin' color.

Yeah, such a shame that Nihlus died so early. He was indeed awesome. Shepard was so green next to him.

Same here. Ilove that character. It's fitting that his pic appears in the Spectre section of the codex. I'm not surprised that even Samara expresses some level of admiration for him. He would have made a great mentor. It's interesting how he seems to be a very realistic portrayal of a typical Spectre; he pretty much blurs the lines between paragon/renegade showing how Spectres act out of necessity, without being inherently evil - on Samara's account of their face off (although the lack of nuance in Justicar's views let me believe that he was probably more on the paragon side).

I agree, she is stunning. It's hard to gage only form those pic(they're both gorgeous btw), how different she looks from ME2 though.
Looking forward to reading her entire bio.

It is fitting. I always get a nostalgic feeling when other characters mention him throughout the games. I'm glad Bioware kept referring to him so we got a little more back story and they didn't drop his character out of existence. It's still hard to gauge where he falls on the moral meter from what has been said/shown. I think you're right about the somewhere inbetween, a paragade maybe where he will be brutal when it comes to the tough decisions but is overall a dependable guy who protects the innocent.

I almost kicked Allers off my ship when she came up and started flirting with my shep right after the new yeoman ninjamanced her. The maleshep same sex relationships are more realistic and meaningful. Plus the player has to start the romance themselves.

Actually all the romances are initiated the same way. They won't hint at something more than friendship if you are locked in a relationship with someone else...ie. truelove set with whoever your Shep is with.

Which sucks 'cause some romances get locked in later than others, although I guess that's by design.

Then I might not have been locked yet. They seemed to be coming onto my femshep pretty strong...except the shower scene of course, that was totally my fault:P. I don't mind another character being agressive romantically towards my shep but again,my issue was with blindingly obvious guy service chicks. >cough< Allers >cough<. Though I could just not like her character:whistle:. The only redeeming part about her is she is one of the few reporters actually wanting to help the war effort and not slander anyone. She's good at her job too and thinks about the possible consequences of her stories before airing them.

jtav's recent fic The Dying of the Light had a fascinating take on Allers in chapter 3 that I never in a million years would have been able to come up with myself. Definitely made me look at her differently.

Thankfully there is usually a back out response if you accidently selected a romance option, though I wish they marked those with some kind of icon. Like with Traynor, you can choose not to join her in the shower if you went that dialogue route.

My mindset when clicking the button, which said nothing about joining her except in the previous dialogue, was my shep was being nice saying "I don't care. Use it if you want" because she knows how much crappy showers suck. Too naive of an approach but the shep I used was just too nice a person to her crewmates :pinched:.

Edit: yes, an icon would be nice. I've thought the same thing once or twice.

I like Traynor myself. They did a better job on development with her than they did with Kelly. Usually my renegades go with Traynor...my paragons with Liara. Not really any interesting males to romance...so my straight femsheps stay single.

And this is Julie, my paragon soldier.

I enjoyed talking with Traynor too, it was more interesting than with Kelly who was just an oddball in her own right.

Edit: one word example-scale itch-wait, that was two words.

Your femshep is pretty, I approveB).
