She decided to man up and wear it because she wanted Kaidan to see how much she cared about their date. However, unfortunately for her, en route to said date, she got roped into all sorts of intrigue with the Volus ambassador, not to mention bottle shooting with Garrus, and wound up running around in her dress a little more than she anticipated.
I love it. Everytime femshep gets in a dress she ends up shooting up the place!
In these situations, I imagine her looking down, realizing she's in a dress, taking about 2 seconds before she goes "Oh screw it" before proceeding to a) break a heel
get a giant rip in said-dress c) re-load.
i love this. so true.

^ these are awesome shots, awesome sheps.
augh, too much awesome on the thread. hard to keep up. but these are fantastic.

@sage, Kyrie is looking awesome! the lighting in the first part of the game is so ****ty, it's always hard to judge vectors based on those scenes alone. but Kyrie looks like herself!
ty. and other folks as well.
YES to the lighting in the 1st bit.
the really weird thing is the ambient lighting (i think that's the words i want) is not so bad. you pop out into flycam, there's this really nice, diffuse light from the overcast vancouver sky to make for some lovely lighting, esp. as you're standing at the window.
of course, popping intoflycam turns off the facial animations and lip synch until the next batch of lines, so you have femshep walking around like a mute doll. very freaky looking.
okay for checking work on face/colors, etc., but freaky all the same.

it really is astonishing to me how much of a difference the gibbed editing makes - at least to me. if you haven't checked out
MassEffect2Faces and were thinking of modding your shep, I'd recommend it. his/her instuctions for modding the offset bones is a little wacky - took me a few reads before i caught on to what he/she was talking about - but very useful.
Mostly, I was helped greatly by messing with skin tone. the lighting is so freaked out at so many points that the skin tone really benefits from an adjustment. If you put in the skin tone from me2, shep looks like a ghosts. it's horrifying. if you drop the RGB values down... oh, gosh, i don't remember how much I dropped them by, just a teeny tiny bit, with red staying a fraction higher up than the other two - it helped a ton. works much better with the lighting once those cinematic cameras start in.

So yeah! up and running.
And yay stand-in for the jumpsuit. (Rosenkov arms + armax legs + HK vest + no shoulderpads thank you = WIN!)
This is, yes, an insanity run. This is my 'get fraps for an adept guide' run AND my 'fraps every convo for reference for the fanfic' run. I honestly don't know if I have the emotional stamina for more runs than that. We shall see. (yes, that sounds over-dramatic, but it's TRUE!)
