Femshep asking her kids if "they want her to come up there/in there" would have great effect. Then again, that works with pretty much any mom.

;)

Yes I think she would. She's practically mothering everybody in the galaxy already.

Would she *want* to? Um... she's terrified by the thought. Truly, it makes her break out in hives. She's not even sure if she and Kaidan are going to *live* past the end of the game, since she got stranded in a pile of rubble and all and maybe it was all a dream anyhow. She's not sure what happened at the end there, and neither do I.

She'll get back to you on that one once the EC DLC comes out.

The sad thing is that even though Shepard is mothering the entire galaxy, if things do get sorted out, no one will send her a Mother's Day card. :(

Asche would be one of those mom's who seems really organized and on the ball on the outside, but absolutely tearing her hair out trying to not be her mom. Which she would ultimately end up becoming. <_<

No, she wouldn't be a good mom and she knew it (she states this in the cut conversation with Anderson). Yet somehow, she wanted nothing more than to raise little blue children with Liara in the end. She deserved a chance, at least.

But after finishing the game, I've killed her off in my headcanon. Guess it was never meant to be...seeing as how she was always the "live fast, die young" type.

I'm rather mixed on weather or not Renée would be much interested in parenting.  Part of it is she's been a bit of a Lady of War type her entire adult life, and proving how she's simply the best.  Top 10% of her graduating class at Annapolis, 2nd class Midshipman (third year of four in program) as a platoon leader (normal a senior class posistion), number one in her class attaining N1 status.  She doesn't know if her kids would be intimidated by her background, and measure themselves against her, and this is all before she drops onto Eden Prime.

In my headcannon, she's had ova frozen since she was in her early 20's, and first assigned to special operations jobs.  I think of it as a benefit, to avoid the personal issues people might have with infertility the Alliance has.  Those are gone though. :(

She did make the quip about lots of little blue children with Liara, though.

Hmm.. Do I think she would? yes, yes I do.
Does she think should would be? shes not so sure on that point, and with the world in its current state shes not so sure it would be such a good idea.

I think Shep in general...would probably be one of those ridiculously protective, overbearing mothers that doesn't think she's either overbearing or overprotective. :P
I mean, look at her devotion to save the galaxy.

Do I think she'd be a good mother? Sure. She'd have a bunch of times where she'd mess up terribly, but all mothers do. She'd be fine. :)

Would she want to have kids? Perhaps. There's talk of adopting turian or krogan kids IIRC, and little blue babies, all said in jest of course. But I think Shep could be done fighting after the events of ME3(if she survives, and both her and her LI reunite in the EC), and wouldn't mind a more casual life.
I know by the end of it, my headcanon Shepard is feeling she's fought enough battles to save the galaxy already, and just wants some time with her loved ones and friends. And perhaps some little blue babies down the line if possible, as well.
But that really depends on the state of the galaxy. I mean, it could be fine and things would be great. Or it could become a situation akin to The Road, where.......yeah.

mmh... thinking about the Mother-Question:

Hard to say and different with every Shep

Reyna would be the protective type - probably overprotective. But she loves childs and is so good hearted - So I guess to have childs with Kaidan and having a *normal* family would fullfill her dreams.

Carry - this is hard to say. I think she did not even think about and with Garrus as her great love the thought of childs .. well lets say there is just no moment or time where she ever thought about.

Chiara - NO. Very clear no. With her background the deep fear to lose people made her hard and she could not have a child. She would mentally break if she would lose it to whatever. And she is well aware of it. Dancing always on the brink between death and alive has his impact.

I asked Sarah about this.. She really don't know. She sure don't see herself as a good mother at all, she's done so much stuff that she's not proud of. But she did kind of raise a Krogan so it's very possible that when everything calms down and when Kaidan drag her away from saving the galaxy again that she might be a bit more selfish and not have the galaxy in her mind for once and only think about her, Kaidan and their future. I think she would be a great mom, she will naturally be over-protective from the start but that will decrease over time, she want to raise self-reliant kids that can take care of themself when they leave the nest.

Especially after Mindoir do she want a family, being the last Shepard is kind of lonely and it took her all the way to SR-1 before she found a person she was comfortable with and could see something more with than just a shoulder on the battlefield.

For starters her name is Desiree.

She is a Spacer (I chose that background because I wanted her to have some sort of family), War Hero, full Paragon throughout the series (I matched the eye color to the Paragon meter). L.I - Kaidan (I chose that because to me that romance string just felt right). It took me 6 hours to design her face (I was hit with the face import glitch). I put most of those 6 hours deciding the eye color. I put emphasis on the eyes because I love a woman with pretty eyes and I wanted them to stand out and draw attention to the face.

I have a full blown head canon for her but I'll post that later.

I think she would be great mother. However, she probably thinks that it would be a bit scary and whether or not she would actually be a good mother. She does know her responsibilities and she's not overconfident. So basically I she would be a bit anxious about it but when she would actually get to hold her baby, I don't think there would be any issues after that point and she would do great job.

As long as she was SF, it was out of question. After, she hasn't really thought about it...too many unresolved issues i guess. She had trouble seeing herselt settling down.

Here's my classic full Paragon Adept, Purity Shepard:

Posted Image

I designed her a bit older than some, I wanted a stronger looking Shep while maintaining femininity.  This is my ME2 version, as ME3 was poo at the faces.  C'mon BW, eye on the ball eh?

She's a bit of a wannabe Asari as she regards biotics highly.  Her LI is Liara, obviously.  Though she did make enquiries with Samara...

Not sure I've got the correct code to display the image, but I'll click Submit and see eh? EDIT: yay!

@MrStoob: Purity looks good, what I can see of her hiding behind her gun. :)

Maria would be. Being full Paragon, she's like the mother figure to her crew. She's always looking out for them and helping in any way. Though, she'd be embarrased if any of them said that to her.

Since she's with Garrus, they would have to adopt. In my headcanon, the first one they would adopt would be Grunt. After that, I dunno. There would be a lot of orphans out there. I can see them using the "royalties from the vids" to start a War Orphans Foundation. Its purpose would be to find a good home for every orphan. And with her commanding presence, there would be no shortage of donations.

Kendra, on the other hand.... She'd be terrified of it. The only thing in the galaxy that would truly frighten her. She never had a good relationship with her parents, and would be afraid she'd be the same way as a parent. But, for those reasons, I believe she'd be one of the best moms out there. She'd try so hard to not be like them. And, with all the crap she pulled as a kid, there'd be no way any of hers would get anything by her.

@Mr.Stoob I know what you mean about the age, as far as I can see Purity looks pretty. I designed my Carry a bit older then the most, too. But she is a Garrusmancer ;)

Oh speak of Carry - have some

^i realized i actually had an extry step in that re-creation process. actually had vanilla facecode, then the tweaks i did to it for first run. so second to right is the kyrie i ran through the game the first time, the far right is the one i'm running now. again, just really interesting to me how very much work it takes to get shep up and running. there is something especially wacky about the pure import's mouth. it totally does not map on to animations properly.

and the real deal:

Posted Image

in some shots, her skin is smooth enough to look like she's gotten younger. but in other lighting, i really think she's showing her age and i like that. sad for her, it seems to be whenever kaidan is around.

Posted Image

"I'm gettin' too old for this sh*t, Kaidan."
"Really? So what does that make me?"
"Ancient."
"Gee, thanks."

@ELE08
Thanks for the editing tip, I'll have to try it out. Sentinels provide some really nice photo opportunities and the cross slashing action makes it seem she's trying to either gut or decapitate the enemy

@xbb1024

@chevyguy87
Desiree looks great! I would love to read her bio and I know exactly what you mean about the amount of time put into getting a face just right; pain staking but worth it.

On the discussion of Shepard mothers...I would feel bad for any offspring Vanessa and Garrus adopt. The kids would have a lot to live up to and would be almost smothered by two very controlling parents. I couldn't see the duo settling down since they would go crazy within the hour and Vanessa had never planned on raising kids. However, when Garrus suggested it, she knew she wouldn't be able to refuse the wishful look in his eyes no matter how much of a bad idea she thought it was. She would probably look for a loop hole and push for Turian kids instead of human ones.

On the topic of Garrus mancers...I finally finished my music video. It's another Femshep Tribute and I'm pretty dang proud of it since I spent about 20 hours recording and trimming video segments. The only thing that really frustrated me was anytime I added a clip the previous sections would get all out of sync. I guess that's what I get for only having Windows Media Maker to work with.  It's kind of strange to say but I feel the video has given me real a sort of closure to Vanessa Shepard's story.

Posted Image

The song used (Exile Vilify) is the same as Discrepancy's great Video but I had been obsessed with the track long before then and had been trying to figure out what kind of video to put it in. I suppose her music video inspired me to finally use it and put it into a femshep tribute.
