Thank you for discussing Mother's day and the end. I now have an incredibly depressing plotbunny about Garrus and Grunt leaving a card by the Catalyst AI core years after the event, for Esperanza. Who's dead, but some bits of her personality and mannerisms stayed in the AI's upgraded Shepard protocols.

Leaving a little card. Maybe flowers.

TopShep? Oh dear. Well. I'm just going to go with Esperanza and her bestest friend (Sorry, Garrus, you're number 2), the claymore.

The ideal place to play with your game's lighting and graphics isn't really the AY monastery, by the by. But it has some cool results.

For once I think I can actually contribute to "salutes" (never managed to get the one in ME2, dunno why?):

Kaidan: Why're you saluting the table, Shep?
Kassia: Not the table, Kay, that empty cup on the table.
Kaidan: Okay, why're you saluting that empty cup then?
Kassia: You should've joined us on Horizon. You would've been his friend, I think...

I headcanon that Kaidan and Thane became friends while they were both in the hospital, eatting terrible hospital pudding together, sharing stories. And when the coup happened they fought together while trying to reach the council before they got separated. Kaidan later asks Shepard what became of the secretive, dying friend he made and Shepard tells him of the man she knew who was more alive then anyone she had ever meet.

God... what I won't have given to had them both as a squad. Thanks again Bioware for murdering Thane barely 1/3 into the game. <_<

But then again it might have been cheating. Kaidan is a freaking tank in ME3 and Thane would one shot everyone. Shepard could have just stayed on the Normandy and put her feet up.

Couple more questions about modding (I know there's a modding thread, but it's full of "OMG HOW DO I GET THE ILLUSIVE MAN'S EYES?????" and I feel like most of the best femshep modders post in here anyway):

1. Is there a way to extract the .bmp files from an already created .tpf?

2. In Offset Bones in Gibbed (or anywhere else, for that matter) is there a way to separately adjust the wideness of the nose? The Inner Upper Lip y variables really affect the width of the nose, and I want a way to counter that by editing just the nose width itself. Is this possible?

edit: Cause like, when I get my Shepard's mouth looking exactly the way I want it to, it makes her nose too thin. It seems like there should be a way to adjust the nose individually... right?

Take a look at this...my virus scanner shows it as a virus but it is not

THIS.

The man is brutally useful in ME1 - neural shock and lift = holy crap kaidan! running liara + kaidan + adept shep means enemies never stood a chance. the team just sort of sends everyone flying and laughs. and then in ME3 he's back and again, he's just brutal.

yep. must admit that's part of his appeal to me. if i could have had him throughout me2, i would have been SO happy. had to make do with miri, who is quite useful, but watching her fight in heels always made me wince. poor woman's feet. she must spend a ton in podiatrist bills.

Asche, a soldier, took Kaidan (when he was available) and Garrus everywhere. Sometimes she swapped Vega out for Garrus. Unstoppable. Falcons and widows everywhere. They made insanity look casual.

Sadly, I don't have a screen of Asche, Garrus and Kaidan. I need to fix this!

Which is why I always put Miranda in her DLC armor. It's just more practical. It also makes all the "butt shots" very comical.

I remember seeing Kaidan drop a few curses in the leaked script, but I can't remember if they made it in game.  Either way, I don't think it would be that surprising to hear him curse, he also has the "RTFM" line in ME1.

And yeah, this of all things would bring me out of lurk for once.  SHOCKING.

I know, right? I feel like Kaidan and Liara could beat the game on their own, haha.

I found myself using Thane a ton in ME2. He's a pretty badass biotic, as far as they go.

I played a Vanguard, but all her bonus powers in 2 and 3 were biotic abilities (Reave in ME2, Slam in ME3), and I love playing with an all-biotic tear-everything-in-your-path-apart-at-the-molecular-level team.

Kaidan, Liara, and a Biotic Shepard in ME1 was basically god mode. Flying enemies and furniture everywhere.

Thane and Miranda was team kill steal. Thane with Drell Marksman and Miri with Cerberus Leader, Shepard can just forget about killing anything on the field.

And then in ME3 Kaidan with Reave and Barrier set just right and Vega with Fortification. You don't need to worry about them ever again. I had my squad set up perfectly, Kaidan or Garrus would use Overload to strip barriers and shields and then singularity to grab them, finishing them off with a Warp. I only carried my beloved Mattock so I had recharge at 200%. I barely had to fire a single bullet though.

In ME2 my party for the final battle was Samara and Thane, and it ruled.

And yeah, in ME3 it was Overload + Charge + Warp combined with Nova + Shotgun to the FACE if they were still moving by that point.

edit: Ughh I'm at work right now and I'm bored and want to go home and play with Gibbed/try my hand at making a custom texmod texture for Anja.

Also I have a bunch of fanarts in progress that I think (hope) you will all get a kick out of.

I have to admit, my vanguard Shep was pretty heavily dextro as soon as available.

Partially because I hate leveling stupid hacking in 1. So Garrus and Tali can do it. The playthrough work's eating is a soldier Shep, who's rocking mostly Kaidan and Garrus, and I expect my favorites of dextro/Samara/Mordin/Thane swapping in will be the plan in 2. She's my Thanemancer anyway, and I always like having the love interest on the squad. Part of the reason I'm a sucker for the Garrusmancing. He shows up early in all 3 and is ALWAYS THERE.

So. My turn for a question. I'll answer it myself later. But since combat is such a big part of the game, what do you see your Shepard(s) actually doing in a fight? What would it look like? Who's usually got her back? How closely does it match up to the gameplay? Does she have cut-scene-activated style powers that we never see?
