 Here is Part One of the Head Canon for Desiree. 
Enjoy.


Desiree was born under parents Hannah and Robert Shepard
aboard the Orbital Defense Station Foxtrot Lima Zero. When she was just three
years old, her father was called upon to rejoin the ranks of the Alliance
Second Fleet during the Relay 314 incident of 2157. He served as a sharpshooter providing
over-watch to his fellow comrades. He served gallantly earning a handful of
medals protecting his squad from a Turian ambush.

Meanwhile Hannah remained aboard the Station, looking after
their precious daughter. Robert came back a decorated veteran. This encouraged
Hannah to enlist for Command Duty. Desiree however was always their main focus.
When not on assignment, Robert would take Desiree on a tour of whatever ship they were relocated to at the time and Hannah would always do her make-up to
make her feel “all grown up”.

When Desiree turned 13, Robert took her to the firing range
aboard their new home, the SSV Truman. (ODS Foxtrot Lima Zero, was decommissioned
due to its age) There Desiree fired her first weapon. After months of practice,
he decided to let her have a crack at using his rifle. She took to it like
glue, and within a week, she was able to hit a target the size of a credit chit
at 600 yards. Unfortunately, Robert became terminally ill right about when
Desiree turned 18.

As a lasting gesture of good will, he attended his daughter’s
military graduation. Robert passed away only 5 months later. Sitting aside his
hospital bed was his loving wife a newly appointed Alliance Captain, and his
beloved daughter. Moments before he passed, he held out his hand to Desiree. He
dropped a key into her hand, and ushered out “Do me proud, I love you”. He
passed on with a smile on his face knowing he had a loving family and a good
life.

So. My turn for a question. I'll answer it myself later. But since combat is such a big part of the game, what do you see your Shepard(s) actually doing in a fight? What would it look like? Who's usually got her back? How closely does it match up to the gameplay? Does she have cut-scene-activated style powers that we never see?

In ME1, it was always Kaidan and Wrex. I love the Krogen. So does Asche. In ME2, it was Miranda/Garrus and Grunt/Zaeed/Kasumi. I really miss having a Krogan in the squad. I love MP with Krogran. I never play one but I love having Krogan team mates.

As far as combat is concerned, I remember several occasions in ME3 especially, where Asche was getting pressed pretty heavily to the point I wondered if I wasn't going to be seeing the spinny red haze of death. Suddenly,suddenly there was a spray of Cerberus brain matter. Garrus was there sniping away, keeping Asche's flanks clear. Kaidan was often leading the charge. I wasn't kidding when I said the Kaidan/Garrus team made insanity easy mode. I let them do their thing. Asche barely had to pull the trigger.

It was Kaidan taking point. Garrus watching the flanks. Asche taking out the trash. Asche is a soldier so she was pretty much always firing bullets, tossing a grenade, keeping her head down. She played a cautious game, not much melee unless cornered. She preferred death from a distance in the form of Falcon grenades to the face. So I guess the combat in my head matches up with the combat in the game.

This shot is not quite so money, but it is Asche and Kaidan, who is carrying that awesome Falcon.

My squad varied quite abit in ME 1...it mostly depended on my class and who my characters were going for or eventually going for as LIs in that game... but for the most part I went Liara n Garrus for the major missions...with Tali/Garrus as my backup squad...the one game where Tali was actually dominant in combat.

ME 2: I usually went Miranda n Garrus...which made sense since they are LIs of my canons( male shep n femsheps( that being both Allison AND Selena) but at times I also went Thane, Garrus...which is essentially sniper's delight .

ME 3: Well, where I can do it...I don't hesitate to go Liara, Garrus on majot missions...though I do take Javik with me to Thessia...you will see why in my pic update... I take EDI n James on the N7 missions...sorta makes sense with N7 usually being cerberus and James becoming an N7. I take te VS n Tali on sidequests when they are available to rejoin...though Tali is perma-benched after Rannok is completed...

Ohh and part of the reason I haven't been posting lately is because I been playing Skyrim on my Laptop...here is a pic of my character who is Selena's namesake....she will eventually be a battle-mage assassin!

I like that Anderson gave Joker standing orders to take care of Shepard and that the game goes out of it's way to say that shepard is under intense stress after Thessia.

Yeah, that conversation usually doesn't go that well...since my shepard's natural inclination is to take his joking a little too seriously...though you can 'fix' it before Priority: earth...which I won't in this case...since I do bother with that mission anymore...

Unfortunately, the ME3 Shep in the 1st vid uses the old face stuff, and so looks nothing like my Shep lol.  Due to a saves ****-up, I'm having to replay half of ME2 to be able to see if my Shep will look any better since the patch.  Seeing as I played ME2 to death in the build up to ME3, this is quite hard work.

Okay, true story: After endless (eeeenndddlessss) tweaking of offset bones in Gibbed, an idea struck me. What if I ran this tweaked version through Lazarus? So, I tried it.

And the results.... Oh man, let's just say I actually got choked up when I loaded up the game.

Like, it was Anja. It was actually her.

Of course, her animations looked like utter garbage, and the colors were a bit off. So I'm gonna need to start from scratch and just try to keep tweaking her using that Lazarus headmorph as a reference, and hope I can get something close to it that doesn't animate weirdly.

But, damn. That made my day. Er, night, rather. Damn, it's almost 4 am, how did that happen?

okay about the wepaon/fighting question - let see - will only write about the main Shep's so far

Reyna as a Vanguard, mostly in front, throw lift warp barrier - combined with Kaidan and Garrus/Wrex - just lol to the enemies - but she loved her sniper riffle, though. So sometimes the guy were getting flank and front she just focused to shoot heads  
in ME2 she was doing well with Garrus and Grunt/Jack/Kasumi - ( the most of the time one of them joined the squad ) Suicide Mission was Jack and Kasumi - badass I say.

in ME3 she got a bond to Javik - he is badass in combat so Kaidan/Garrus/Javik are mostly on her side

Carry on the other hand is the ultimate biotic - ADEPT - and again Garrus is always on her side - but she really likes to have firepower like Vega/ Zaeed on her side, too. After Kaidan joined her squad - again - in ME3, the obvious choice was Garrus and Kaidan - ( like many others ) Flying stuff overall 

Chiara is the pure Soldier. They are pretty strong and she loves her guns deeply. IN ME1 it was again clearly Kaidan/Garrus combo. She behind, pulling the trigger - if it was necessary. 
Now in ME2 she is chosing again Garrus overall and got a faible for Kasumi - which was a nice combo for a soldier. Just right now she met Thane and the Duo Garrus / Thane let her not too often pull a trigger  

I have to admitt for my other Sheps (2 Male and 2 other Fem) Liara and the Cerberus people played a stronger role at the combat / squad set.
Anway - I think I enjoy the fights mostly.  Its the combatstyle I would have in mind and I see it on screen,too. Only the Geth are a pain in the a.ss. I really do hate fight Geth ,

LOL... maybe all but Javik did...he seemed to have a interesting yet still trolling reaction to her when they were entering the geth  ship.

She'll be fine(speaking of Liara after Thessia.)....

On the topic of would Shep make a good mum:

As a Liara person, I'd always imagined that Liara would be bad cop and Shep good cop. If the little blue kid did something wrong Liara would be the stern motherly type dishing out the punishments while Shep slips the kid a few creds behind Liara's back hehe.
