...This character had face import issue on my first playthrough. But when I started the second one, the face import bug was already fixed. Thanks, BioWare.

I figure UJ is Garrus's commanding officer and in her mind that means attending to their morale. So, she let's Garrus win. It's the same way w/ James. She lets him get a punch in, but puts him on the floor in the end just to show him who's boss. Besides if they truly believe they beat Shepard fair and square, they are dumber than they look.


Garrus: I'm king of the world! I love my life!
Shepard: You know I let you have that shot.
Garrus: I know! I know! Just let me have my moment, woman!
Shepard: ...
Garrus: err, I mean, Commander.

On a personal note, if I can, UJ is very loosely based on a friend of mine. (She knows and she's flattered). Currently she is battling breast cancer and she's in for a tough fight. With that in mind, I can't see any ending w/ UJ dying as a happy one. From now on she'll fight and live another day.

 The whole sniping contest with Garrus is quite fun for me...since 5 of my 7 femsheps are in romances with him so there is a lil extra too it...but here is the rundown so far of those I have played....

Allison - Paragade Canon - connected on the final shot...she's my favorite so I couldn't allow her to lose that...whether by her ego or mine...no way in hell was she losing...even though she loves him with all her heart and soul. She also started using sniper rifles after that. 

Alicia - she's an infiltrator...so she wasn't missing either. 

Gianna - she's a sentinel and is in love with him too...but she couldn't miss either...I guess she don't like losing either...must be my own personality seeping into my femsheps with this thing. 

Selena - Renegon Canon - She lost this one...on purpose only because I wanted to see what would happen if Shepard missed...besides she's a vanguard...so she shouldn't be able to use a sniper rifle as well as she can an assault rifle or shotgun...


Gabby - hasn't gotten this far...but she is an infiltrator as well...so I don't imagine her losing either...

Anja missed the shot in my playthrough, because as a Vanguard, she just straight up isn't as good a shot as Garrus (especially with a sniper rifle), and she wants him to know it. When she has to use a gun, she lives and dies by her shotgun, but she generally prefers to just charge into battle and explode everything she can with biotics. She's not a "hang back and pick off enemies with well-placed headshots" kind of girl.

I lost my Dad on cancer  - so she is in my prayers and thoughts - we all will.
I will light a candle in my window for her - I always did if something like this appeared.

I lost my dad and a good friend to cancer. Another friend, who has beaten skin cancer twice, has a t-shirt he wears. It says Cancer Sucks. It sure does. Best wishes to you and your friend.

I've never let him win, because Garrus would have to earn a sniping victory over Shepard. He needs to know that under his Red Hood style personality there's still no way he's a better Batman than Shepard....and 've been watching too much of that movie. Kendra, who is a Vanguard and never uses sniper rifles, didn't miss. I guess it's cause it was a lower right option and that always meant Renegade to me. I loved what she said after, though.

I still have no clue how I'm gonna handle that with Maria. She's an Infiltrator. But, she's also a Garrusmancer. So, don't miss cause she's a crack shot, or miss on purpose cause she's nice like that and... and.. it's Garrus. Argh, I have no idea. So glad I didn't take her through ME3 first. I would have been at that screen for hours. No lie.

On Garrus and the sniper rifle: I let Garrus have it with Lia. She thinks of Garrus as the younger brother she never got to really have, especially after Mindoir, so she messes with him and boosts his confidence to a degree, knowing full well she can take him down a peg when he least expects it. Same thing applies to Vega, she let him get a hit in once, but made him miss the other three and wear himself out, and then she took him down.

Have to say, I'm glad to see people's screenshot/design creativity when it comes to femShep is still alive and well. Was really struggling there for a moment, but it's good to see it bouncing back.

Oh and sidenote - during tonight's screenshot run, I managed to catch Lia's War-Face.

Really digging the contrast given how cool and professional she animates in 90% of the cutscenes.

I don't pay attention to the words "miss on purpose' because i hit the shot if it makes since for my character and don't if it makes more since. Octavia is a vanguard so she will miss. Penny is an engineer she did miss (she likes to make things go boom, so she doesn't actually even shoot very often). Xiu will miss because she is a adept and hardly ever shoots, Quinn is a solider so she will hit the shot, Roslyn is my infiltrator so she will hit it, and my garrusmancer Nora will probably miss the shot as well.

@Jamie my aunt has cancer as well. it is in her brain, she was doing real well and it was in remission, but it came back a month or so ago and so she is back in the hospital. Your friend will be in my prayers.

Also, unrelated, but I thought I'd share this tidbit here since I know there are a bunch of us who are on the neverendling quest to recreate our Shepard's faces in ME3: I've noticed that lowering the cheekbones ever so slightly really helps make the overall face structure match the ME2 faces more. You can easily do this in Gibbed by raising the x values of the undereye left and right in offset bones (y and z control the cheekbone width and depth, respectively).

Oh, sadly not. I tweeted this, but also will mention on thread: I wrote a chapter. I hate it. It's not bad, exactly, but it's not very good, either. I will not inflict it on you. 

Burnout + little time + needing to get head back into the fanfic game = I'm taking this week 'off'. I want to make sure to write the kind of Shenko that I want to read, so I have no update for your this week. I hope to be back to a more productive schedule next week, and always hope to push self with quality of writing.

That's the plan, anyhow.
