Sigh, just redesigned Shepard for my final ME2 playthrough. Can't make a good looking Shepard for the life of me. It's those damn eye lashes this time. I'm most likely definitely gonna play using new Default in ME3.

Yeah it seems as if that's what's happening with people updating their canon run. I'm still not 100% sure on several decisions, Saving the Council (From a military standpoint i'm not entirely happy), Kill/rewrite the Heretics (I'm 50/50 here). They're the two decisions i think most about, the other ones are good for me.
Playing the "pure" Renegade playthrough opened my eyes and i heard some really awesome renegade lines. Some even make me cackle a bit ^^

@Phoenix_Fyre

Infiltrator Shep <3 My canon is an Infiltrator and i'm really enjoying the destruction that ensue whenever the sniper rifle pops up

On the subject of the Batarian that poison humans and Shep. I make him drink it himself, it fit Sarah perfectly and i just enjoy the line so much.

I save the Council for military reasons, actually, not mercy.

Vigil tells you the first thing the Reapers did was take out the Prothean government. so I save them, straight out. maintain leadership in crisis and all that. it's sort of the 'save the queen' mentality that i think befits a soldier.

geth heretics? i blow them. if they're really 'thinking', then i don't like feeling like i'm brainwashing them. if they're machines, i don't trust their programming and i want them gone. that is one of my more renegade moments.

Legion: Blah, blah, re-write.
Kyrie: Sorry, what? We have bombs. Let's use them. Boom!
Tali: Are you sure?
Kyrie: Boom!

I like it too, it's fun to be a anti-hero without being a violent sociopath, tends to be either or in most games.

Plus renegades get cool screenshots.

Ditto.

But one of the best things about ME2, was that you could still gain renegade point without effecting it too much.

So Jamie could be a tad ruthless when it came to the interupts. And even some of the paragon points were still a little renegade (inciting the turians to kill the batarian bartender and blackmailing mercs).

Absolutely, I really appreciated that in ME2, renegade interrupts are so much fun. ^_^

Anyone play in infiltrator Femshep? Doing a sorta speed run- early 30's and got my SR maxed out

Bring on the sweet carnage

Yep I do. I tried to play other classes but this is my favorite. At the end of ME1 it was a bit ridiculous though I was boom headshotting everyone.

Hm. Elf managed to max out the paragon bar, *and* get above 75% renegade in ME1, so she's started the game with the max paragon and renegade bonuses. Amusingly, she triggered the paragon "rescue the scientists" assignment *after* stealing the Normandy. ("If you do this, it'll look good at your court-martial, Commander." "Gee, thanks Admiral Hackett!")

Anyway, need to stop getting distracted by shiny objects and continue her ME2 playthrough.

*Edit: 3 of my Femsheps and one Maleshep are Infiltrators, so yes I like that class.

I had Katja kill Charn and Balak and I really liked the responses I gave to Simon. I had to do it, yes...but I'm glad I didn't have to be a complete jerkass about it either.

I did Feros sidequests and spared Shiala yet I killed all the colonists- they were being mind controlled... logically.........Shep really had no idea really about the Thoriun, yet she's kind to her crew and respects the Council, etc

Anyone else play like that?

I prefer Paragade for my Jane in both ME1 and ME2. Most of the time she does good deeds.  but sometimes Jane prefers to stay out of confrontations. She will never shoot people without need. Jane does not interfere if it is unnecessary. But just as she did not leave someone in trouble if he or she really needs help. She is not a pure Paragon (like my non canon Diana Shepard who hates injustice and has biotic powers). Jane is an ordinary woman, an Aliance soldier, she follows orders. She is not trying to be a hero and help everyone. She does what she believes is right.

Oh yeah that's also why i save them but i really can't justify gambling with the galaxy. Shepard doesn't really know how strong Sovereign really is and by sending in the fleet early it will take damage and be weaker when it reach Sovereign. Of course this being a game everything ends up happy but from Shepards POW i got trouble justifying it. What makes most sense to me is to use the fresh and strong fleet to deal the strongest possible blow at Sovereign.

About the Heretics i kind of think the same. Destroying them really got its good sides and if i rewrite them i wonder what stops the Reapers from just crack them with a even stronger virus. I will probably never be 100% sure with this decision so i got to hand BioWare that

RE: Morality

I actually prefer the ME2 Paragon/Renegade system over the ME1 system just putting point into a bar. For example, Adam Shepard my pure paragon was able to do the renegade persuasion agaisnt Saren afer his Paragon meter was maxed out, but I put points into both charm and intimidate. That did not make sense. I like that you have to be consistent with your reputation in order to get the persuasion options. You won't see a pure paragon telling Legion and Tali that they better fall in line or get crushed under her heel, because she's not like that.

Yep. At the moment doing ME2 infiltrator run. I just love the sniper + assault rifle combo.

*Just notice the pic: new haircut?

I 'grew out' Celyn's hair with the save editor.. ^_^ So she could start with the shaggy short do for her 2 years on a table (having it grown out from nothing) and end with her original hair from ME1.

Because I would keep using Viper. It's pretty darn effective too for headshots (though, I don't use hardest difficulty since I hate artificial difficulty; it's not harder, it just takes more time).

This is exactly what I thought when I was at the end. Also, for less noble reasons, because I didn't want the awesome Turian shopkeeper to hate me...

I also have a question for you all. Do you have a Shepard that you've completed everything with? And I mean like everything as in found all the minerals/Asari writings/DLCs/reached level 60 in Mass Effect 1 and scanned all planets done all side quests, etc in Mass Effect 2?

I'm hoping I'm not alone in my crazy hermit playstyle.
