Jane loves Arrival :) Except for a huge number of auto-dialogue it's my favorite DLC of all in ME2... not only because it was released on my birthday :D

Made this poll to see how many people would be intrested in this extra Femshep romance, I love playing femshep, so disapointing with some of the options :(

We don't need more per say though more is never wrong, we need what we have to not have such an abominable wrap-up. Also, no Vega? *shakes head at Bioware*

In Tali's case I'm crankier about the Dev's matching her with Garrus instead of Kal.

This. And Kal dying offscreen. *shakes head at Bioware again*

Now granted Kal could die in 2, but then pair them if he's alive? Why the option to save him then pair Tali with Garrus regardless. There was definately friction between Kal and Tali.

All the action shots. Amazing! Wow, nice job, folks. You guys are making it really, really hard to not play ME3 SP. I must stay strong. I must stay true to my silent protest....

@demos99: Welcome! Nice Shep you have there!

randomly, i was playing MP as engineer, but i can't seem to enjoy the game as much without biotics, so i had to
switch back to adept. funny how that is, since in other games i'm not usually so tied to a particular class or a particular character. i tend to play other games through many different ways. but ME is weird that way for me, i guess. i just love me some biotics.

I guess playing so many video games since I was kid, I'm used to going with the flow. My first console was the Atari 2600 when I was 10. Yes, I'm that old.

So, whatever a game throws at me, I just use it. Same goes for classes. So, in ME, I just use whatever the class has. If it's Vanguard, Charge and Shotguns. Infiltrator, Sniper rifle and Cloak. Etc, etc. I guess I'm flexible and willing to play the class as they are. It does take me time to adjust to how they are setup. I had never played a Sentinel until ME3 MP. But they are super fun. Hrm. The only classes I haven't played in SP are Sentiel and Adept. One day, I'll try them out in SP, starting in ME1.

@ADLegend21: Interesting!

Something intereting I found out yesterday. If you get Javik immediately after the citadel you can't take him to Menae. His dialogue at the very beginning of the game has him sayig he needs to recover from the stasis and adjust to being mobile again but as soon as you finish Manae he's fine, or if you get him after menae he doesn't say this, so it pretty much forces you to take James and Liara so you can send Liara back to the ship and get Garrus. I wanted to see Garrus react to meeting a prothean. Oh and anther thing I saw on youtube, if Garrus is dead Samantha will bethe one to tell Shepard to get some rest and when you ask her why she says it's genuine concern, and then she checks out Shepard's ass. XD

It's because Liara is the queen of plot armor and she has to have her close ups. Really though, grabbing Javik before Manae doesn't make any sense. Shepard gets a lead on a Primarch who is on a moon near Palaven where the turians are suffering heavy casulties and are barely holding out against the reapers. Why wouldn't she go straight there? Recovering a prothian artifact over saving a leader who could gain an entire race's loyalty is near crazy. This is why Javik has no dialogue and is blacked out if you try to bring him.

That is also my reasoning behind why Javik can't be there. I also think it's bioware's way of showing vega off even more in the party in combat since he isn't in your party through the entire Mars mission. I didn't know of the Samantha part and I never will because I simply REFUSE to do a playthorugh with Garrus dead( as primarily a garrus-mancer this makes total sense). The game is essentially telling you should do this mission first...or basially this mission needs to happen first before anything makes sense.

edit: Also Thanks Ashoken and LadyAly :D

Apparently it was cut because Tali's VA just wasn't comfortable with s/s romance dialogue. Only what I heard, but sad if true.

Having extra romances would be cool, but I think femshep has enough same sex relatioship options already. Adding Tali in to the mix over Vega would make things even more unbalanced. Kaiden is the only male option available for femshep in ME3, and he can potentially be dead if he didn't survive Virmire in ME1.

As Ottemis said, the ME2 romance characters really got the short end of the stick in ME3, and fixing those, or adding Vega would be better.

Because when you talk to them it's all "we have to look out for ourselves, our worlds haven't bene hit yet and we don't want them to be you must help us before we help you, despite you already losing millions of lives sine they came staight for earth and not us."  So they can stand to lose a little bit more sine they're JUST getting hit, plus having a Prothean artifact (since you don't know it's an actual prothean before you get there) while trying to build a prothean device could be of some use, plus you're helping a human colony out from a Cerberus attack when you know the Illusiv man gave everyone reaper implants. At the beginning of the game you ahve to help humanity because the council isn't, as usual. It pisses me off that humanity is under attack after humanity is the only one doing anything to stop the Reapers in the first place, saved the council during sovereigns attack and had the collectors attacking their colonies and none of the other races did anything. Yet in ME2 they say "a council race must be able to protect itself" but when the Reaper **** Palaven it's all "save our primarch because we can't!" YOu should hav ethought of that when you didn't help us with the collectors so now we'll take our sweet ass time helping OURSELVES since that's what a council race is supposed to be able to do, The turians should understand, especially since they ahve the bigget military and are the glalaxy's peacekeepers.Posted Image

None of the above. It's because they didn't know how to write this story w/out making the plot so linear.

As to an extra femshep romance, yeah, there should have been another romance for straight femshep. Excluding Kaidan, it's like the writers assumed all the femsheppers were either guys, lesbians, or women who love Twilight.

And happy belated birthday, Tup!  :wizard:

I'm still standing by my original thought that most of the same-sex romances are fan services for guys; all the 'on-the-side' chicks that come up to the cabin get on my nerves a bit. Mostly it's because their characters are hardly ever developed or they just feel lack luster in comparison to squad mates we spend so much time with and by default know more intimately. One of the same-sex romances that seemed alright was the one with Cortez. I haven't actually romanced him as I can't stand Meer's voice acting, but he does get a pretty decent dialogue wheel several times where you get to know his history and inner feelings a bit. Plus the player is given the ability to manipulate his point of view like other 'core' romances such as persuading Garrus to apply for spectre training or try to rejoin C-Sec. It is sad that there are only two straight romances for femshep that last until the very end.

In a way I'm sad they didn't let Vega be a romance option but I also liked just being his mentor with harmless flirting that managed to break any serious moments. Most of the time half of my femshep's brain was giggling like a school girl while the other half rolled its eyes knowing it was all a joke. Every crew needs the idiot, but actually smart and useful, flirt.

Now if only they could balance a character to have all of those qualities, that would be a feat and make a really interesting character to interact with. There would probably have to be more dialogue wheel choices and an icon or a special colored text for the real flirting options.

Love elusiveness in video games. I don't know if it makes the game more realistic though. I didn't feel that.

It can be realistic but It felt like a cheap shot when they killed him off screen. He didn't have to die off screen or at all for that matter. I really thought Bioware was going somewhere with him and Tali. It would have been neat to hear Tali conversing with Kal over a communication channel while she was working in the Normandy's war room and/or to meet up with him again on rannoch while rescuing the admiral. He could have even been a replacement for the maintenance quarian we find where Kal and Tali have a bitter-sweet ending since he dies there after a short conversation.
