It's been a while but I thought I would drop off a few little sketches I did of my shep. The perfect way to get out of an art rut is with your favorite lady (and sometimes LI in the mix) :3

Great sketches:wizard:

Somehow I missed these.
Great indeed.

I meant to comment on these earlier. They're absolutely fantastic, I especially love the bit with her and Garrus!

Quorra In ME3!

My Laptop's Resolution is 1600x900, but the Game is on 1280x720 (720p). Is 720p the best way to play ME3? I mean, I want to have ME3 at 1600x900, just like my Screen Resolution, but it causes the FPS to be "Clunky" at times. When walking the FPS drops at 20 and below. What Resolution do some of you prefer ME3 to be on? I like the "Gloss"/"Shine" look to ME3 when it is on the Resolution of 1280x720. It's looks "Smooth:)."

I play at my displays native resolution, 1920x1080 with 4xSGSSAA. Constant 75 FPS v-synced (my display supports 75 Hz) while walking around Normandy.

If only there was a way to have ME3 at 1600x900 and have the FPS at a constant 60 FPS for me.

Tup, luxury problem, not that I don't agree =P I pref native (1920x1080 for me), but if fps drops too much whatever you can manage without dropping under about 15 fps in my books. Low fps makes me want to punch walls which gets painful after a while, Who'd have guessed!
My old system wouldn't run very well on native res, in combat fps dropped down to 5 at times, which is .. well. Not handy =P I like mah screenshots too much is what.

I tend to play all 3 games @ 1366 x 766 on my laptop...and my FPS stays at or around 20(through FRAPS) and @ 60 during the cutscenes...those are more than enough for me considering the number of texmods I run as well that ENB color mod that ELE turned me on too. :) My screenshots as well as picture seems pretty good to me as well.:)

Me too. That's why I'm keeping ME3 Lower than my Native Resolution (1600x900), at a Resolution of 1280x720, which is STILL HD.

Look at THIS Screenshot at 1280x720 Resolution. Do you have trouble seeing any detail?

It looks great tbh, I just use screenshots for nefarious purposes on occasion where bigger is often better, hence my obsession =P Think manips, drawing reference etc.

What graphics card do you have? You can try turning down some other settings in the actual graphics driver software (i.e. Catalyst Control Center, if you have an ATI card) like anti-aliasing or anisotropic filtering. That should improve your framerate issues enough that you can run the game at full resolution without much of a loss to quality.

Am I the only one who finds a renegade femshep with scars, very attractive? (Red glowing eyes and scars, with scarlet hair) <3 lol.

I do and I don't. I don't like the eyes at all and the high level scars creep me out. But I really dig the low and mid level scars. I actually modded my game so Shep will always have some scaring no matter what lol. Although the eyes for that picture; that Shep is very attractive. I get this kind of Han Solo-ish vibe from her.

Did someone say Renegade scaring?Posted Image
Cora posing for flycam.Posted ImagePosted Image

And I've been gone so lone I have a new shep to introduce. Another Renegon but this time an Earth Born/Sole Survivor.

Introducing Mercedes, who goes by Mercy, the infiltrator. She survived the lower parts of terra nova's cities as the equivalent of an earth duct rat and always possessed a knack for sneaking around undetected, a habit born out of necessity. Gangs used to pay her to sneak into facilities or hideouts to learn what she could from following and listening in on a target's conversation, or she was paid for intellect she commonly already possessed.

Closer to her teen years, a boy she often ran into on the streets by the name of Taz taught her how to hack high security files. The new skill set became invaluable as she took higher paying jobs in the corporate world seeking information thieves. Mercedes thought she would continue on her career path, that was, until she got in over her head.

Admiral Hackett trained his pistol on the intruder but it was not the seasoned assassin he was expecting. Instead, a whip-thin teenager stood frozen over his computer, her face a hardened mask that only partially covered her surprise.

"I'm afraid you won't find anything more useful than bank statements in there. If you seek high security information on the Alliance you'll have to shoot a little higher and break into headquarters."

Mercedes backed an inch closer to her exit since while unarmed and unable to afford donning armor in her line of work, she had no choice but to flee. The admiral's eyes shone in the yellow light of his desk lamp as he approached and Mercedes watched intently for the moment he would pull the trigger. Hackett glanced at the still downloading files on his computer and scrutinized the teenager possessing an aggressive spark in her eye.

"You know, the alliance could use skilled people like you."

The rest is history as Mercedes joins the military, after being blackmailed by Hackett, and learns to hone her skills in infiltration and combative technology. Hacking has become a hobby that she often deploys on the battle field to turn enemy machines into her personal army, a skill Legion was happy to help her perfect. She prefers to spray bullets with a high chance of freezing targets before she shatters them with incinirate. Mercedes has a blunt outlook on life thanks to her dog-eat-dog experience on earth and is quite vein when it comes to her skill set and looks which causes her to instantly dislike Miranda's perfect genetics.

She renegade romanced Kaidan in ME1 but after horizen she declared their relationship over, though she still possesses pervasive feelings lingering for her former lieutenant she refuses to acknowledge them, and is beginning to form feelings for a certain turian...

Other:
-After Akuze she vowed to never let another squad mate die which caused Ashley's death to be a tragic injury to her pride.

-Mercy held back the alliance forces in the battle against Sovereign to ensure his defeat but when Udina began speaking of human domination in the absence of the council, Mercy became nervous and plagued by her decision. Even worse, after telling Udina he was wrong, she still appointed him as head of the new council since she worried Anderson wouldn't have the political prowess needed to effectively rebuild stabilize the now fragile galactic leadership.

-Legion joined the Normandy shortly after Mercy and crew's escapade on Omega. He  finally tracked Shepard down at a Cerberus lab where he downloaded the information Mercy sought and gave it to her as a peace after sniping the last merc bearing down on her squad. Must. Resist. Photo dump!

Dat smirk.

Well now, why does this feel familiar?

Edit: snipped for redundancy

Anti-photo dump attempt...failed.

Edit: I've been messing with Mercy's gibbed self in ME3 for a good while and I think her appearance will be a pleasant surprise once I officially import her.

Yeah, medium and low level scarring is fine, the full-on Terminator eyes are a bit much and just look super cheesy to me.

Wiki says, "All major high definition (HD) TV broadcasting standards include a 720p format which has a resolution of 1280×720". As you mentioned before =) Honestly if it runs that size for you without fps issues, that's quite nice.

4GB of dedicated Video RAM in a Laptop ? This I gotta see xD

(Shared RAM yes, but there are not even that many PC Graphics Cards that boast that much RAM, just a few very specialized cards for Professionals)

It's not shared. My Laptop has Switchable Graphics: High Performance GPU, and Intel Graphics. I use High Performance for big things like Mass Effect. And it DOES have 4 GB of Video Graphics. My Laptop is a High Performance Laptop made for things like playing games like Mass Effect. Video Editing, Superior Sound System, and HD. It even Plays Blu Ray, VERY well I might add.

Well, if it does all that, where is the problem with running in full resolution then ?

If it has that much Video RAM, then it should be a powerful chip, capable of handling it.

Thanks for the comments everyone :3

As for scarring, I don't think full scarring is all that attractive and the red eyes could be awesome if the textures used for it didn't look like an advanced form of pink eye :I

And maybe it's because I'm on console now but does anyone think that ME2 looks nicer...? idk some of the textures in 3 look superb but I feel as though it's still a step back. I just went with default shep because my import shep looked....weh

Reduces blur at weird angles, I think.

ME2 seems a whole lot brighter. I liked the Cerberus decor of the Normandy. Seemed clean and sleek, compared to the grimey darkness of the Alliance color schemes.

Ok! Never Mind! I'm doing what I did before: I'm keeping ME3 in the Highest Resolution (1600X900, which is the Native Resolution of My Laptop), but have the Game on "Window (No Borders)." It is still Fullscreen, but I can EASILY Switch from the Game to here on the Internet by using Alt+Tab. The FPS is Higher Too. The Lowest the FPS will go will Mostly Likely be 20-21 FPS, but BARELY now. Besides, I hid the "FPS Icon for FRAPS, so that I wouldn't see the Numbers, that way I can focus on the Game, and Ignore the FPS Count (Neither Worrying, nor Panicking about the FPS Count):):).:):)

Yep, that's exactly what it does. It controls the quality of textures seen at extreme angles.

Anti-aliasing controls how smooth the edges of things are.

In general, setting them both to 2x should be a good compromise between performance and quality, if you're having FPS issues.

I'm on a high end Macbook Pro running Bootcamp, and I can run ME3 at full resolution with stuff pretty much turned all the way up.
