Started a Mass Effect Marathon with Meonlyred today

Here is my attempt at making faces using each of the face shapes. I tried to make sure I didn't reuse eyes and noses and mouths, but... I make no guarantees. The only mods are the high def eyes and natural eyelashes. I feel texmods would do some of these faces well, as well as modded hair. I also make no guarentees as to how well they animate. I also forgot to record a couple of the face-codes. Weee.

I started a new ME1 playthrough with Heather Shepard after beating ME3 this week. Same appearance but I'm playing her as an engineer this time. She looks so different from ME1 to ME3, but then again don't they all? I would love to play the series on PC one day, I want to be able to take awesome screenshots like the ones I see here!! In order to get pictures of Heather I have to use a camera and take a picture of the tv.. which means I can only get pictures when shes standing still or else they turn out blurry.. I play Dragon Age Origins on the PC and take screenshots of EVERYTHING, I had over 1000 by the time I finished the game. Anyway, here she is, back in the very beginning:

@everyone - some great Shepards posted this weekend, love them all but special props to: Maria opening the last vent, Anja in TIM's base, cute Tiia behind the huge gun, Cora's Control ending, Joan Shepard's silhouette, Lida and Jack, Alison on the Citadel, Liv's haircut, Karys on Menae and Reyna on Sanctuary. Awesome ladies all.

@JamieCOTC & Rikketik: Thanks for the relationship advice; I decided to bite the bullet and see how Thane plays out with Jennifer; reading around a bit on the Interwebz it seems like it should be possible for her to end up with Liara in ME3 but it will be an interesting journey.

And then, Jennifer decided to go to Haestrom and recruit Tali. And I decided to get the Geth Pulse Rifle. Oh boy, first time playing on Hardcore. We died sooo many times trying to take down that Colossus. But that's a story for another day.

I finally finished Cora's video tribute. I've been working on it on and off ever since I started her playthrough and I think it's my best one yet. Contains EC clips so be careful if you don't want to be spoiled yet. Cora Tribute. I really tried to tell her unique story through it so she stands out from my other sheps or any generic ones on the grand interwebs.

And I Played a bit more of Mercy today. She doesn't feel the least bit sorry for Thane since the neglect of his son reminds her of her own parents who abondoned her on earth. She's doing this mission more for Kolyat. "Your father and I have killed a lot of people, you haven't."

Mercy and Thane squabble all the time on the Normandy, only Thane participates in his aggravatingly silent way, taking her frustrated verbal berates with grace. After his loyalty mission that opens too many wounds, Mercy spills her reason for disliking him after too many drinks and Thane begins treating her a little more positive.

"Get out of here before it blows! *chuckles* I can't believe that actually worked"


"Those guys were a waste of skin, scales, whatever!"

Both Vanessa and Cora assign teams in the debriefing room after the mission parameters are laid out, Cora with a bit more finesse than Vanessa who is brutish about it.

Cora's version: "Garrus, James. You're up."

Vanessa's version: "Garrus! Liara! Get your a-- up here!"

Mercedes prefers to be discrete and confronts teammates personally before each meeting. Practically everyone knows what they'll be doing during a mission before they are officially briefed on what it will be.

@IchikoSakura: Aika looks like she has a lot on her mind while talking with Traynor. I love the transition of your pictures.

@LadyAly: I'll be looking forward to more Mel, she looks interesting. And a whole lot of awesome sheps in the character creator. I might have to take on that challenge myself.

@CrazyGreggy: that is some bulky armor for an infiltrator. Is there any particular reason she chose that set? Or is it simply that stylish? (Menae pics). "Trying to focus on Kirrahe through the blur" She really looks out of it there.

@JabacNoor: Wow your femshep has a really pretty face that stands out with the short hair.

@SebAusFR: Kyla appears to be a little technologically challenged though she tries. I wonder if she's an engineer.

Believe it or not, it is not a flycam shot. That's from the game itself. I just am getting good at knowing when to hit the screenshot button.

That's a good question.

From ME1 onwards, Maria would have a briefing a choose a squad from that.

Kendra would just call out a squad via intercom during ME1. It wasn't until the events of ME2 where Miranda would hold mission briefings that she would change. She balked at this at first, calling it a waste of time, but eventually got used to it. When ME3 came around, she kept up the practice.

I didn't know the renegade ending had a different voice over. That's awesome and makes me love EC even more. You're right, renegade version is way scarier . I keep in mind that though Cora is mostly paragon she would squash a species like the yahg if they threatened any of the current civilizations. She has a nearly equal renegade bar, very paragadish. I'll label my vid as paragon version since it looks like people are having trouble finding femshep EC.

Do all of the EC endings change depending on renegade or paragon allegiance?

You and Red have both inspired me to play ME 1 again( now that I got it working again) and this time I'm gonna take Gabriella(Gabby) through the entire trilogy( makes sense since she is the canon of my renegons). I won't really get into her game til I finish Allison 3.0 in ME 3 though.

So...re-enter Gabriella Shepard - ME 1 style - only change I made was I gave her the pony tail hairstye instead of the afro style...but she will regain that in ME 3.

As far as I know, they do not. Only Control is different.

@raziel1980: Nice pics of Gabby. I dunno if I want to continue Kendra's NG+ in ME3 or play her new version in ME1 (and through 2 and 3).

I tried testing streaming on livestream with ME1.... it seems my PC is not up to snuff on that. I was getting framerate issues. Oh well.

Thanks everyone for the compliments on Lida. She's certainly taking on a life of her own. I never played her in ME1. I'm getting the itch to take her through all three. I will have to be brave to mod in the 'sexy' hair in ME1, but I think I can do it!

As for Lida's modded hair in ME3. It has its problems. Even with the texmod fix, it's glitchy. A little while back, I posted a pix of Lida in the character screen. Her hair was all dayglo and circuity like the VI that used it in ME. When Liara showed her the hologram time capsule, Lida's holo hair was also dayglo. Made me laugh. There are also gaps in the hair mesh that I often fix in paint shop pro.

As an infiltrator, Lida is skilled in advanced hacking techniques. Too bad omnigel doesn't work anymore.


Grunt is just so badass. I love me the Krogans.


Javik is also pretty cool. I liked this shot.

Jane, Liv, Berlitz, Fiana, Karys, Heather, Mercy, Maria and Lida are beauiful and awesome.
I agree with raziel; seeing Zody, Jennifer and Gabby taking on ME1 makes me wanna go back for several more playthroughs. LadyAly do you know that Reyna always been my favorite among your femsheps.

Have a question - or more like an observation. I've been thinking about how uneasy interactions between Ashley and Shepard seem to be over the course of all 3 ME. Ashley and Kaidan become close in ME1 if Shepard doesn't develop feelings for him - and there is the abrupt way Ashley always ends conversations with Shepard no matter how close they are - Is it OK for Ash to become resentful because he died on Virmire - or simply view Shepard as a rival? Could that be considered to be at the  root of that "uneasyness"?  
Or am i reading too much into things?
I could stretch things and imply that it is why they (Shepard and Ash) can't be romantically involved...

So many femsheps! Where to start, where to start? Hm, let's begin at page 694. I won't be able to comment on every single post, though, but I will try.

@ merylisk: Just wanted to say I love the color of your armor. Did you somehow mod it or are those colors available ingame? I tried black + gold/orange before, but the colors always look a bit dull. A shame, because ME2 handled them so well.

@ LadyAly: Thank you for the link to NaChayas Journey, I will give it a look when I got some spare time. It also reminds me I still have to complete Dragon Age: Origins... I believe I only played it a few hours after I bought it. Oops. (Oh, and don't worry, I know how the story goes. And even if I didn't, I've never cared much about spoilers.)

And thanks for your comment on the Rachni screens. I've decided to roleplay a bit, instead of just dumping some screens in this thread.

@ razviolet: Love the first pic with Joker! As for the coffee question: Berlitz is more of a tea person, but she enjoys a cup of coffee every now and then. I'm not really into coffee myself so I don't know which kind she would like, but I do know she finds it important that she isn't drinking some sort of mass-produced instant coffee (or tea). 

@ SebAusFR: Wow, Kyla looks amazing! She really rocks that formal outfit.

@ Ashoken: Heh, nice shot of Lida on Sur'kesh. You know, I wouldn't be surprised if all those Salarians were smoking pot there. Seems like the only way they can really relax.

@ GrazyGreggie: LOL! Great shot of Karys. It's almost as if Victus (I think that's him on that screenshot?) said something funny/stupid and she's breaking the fourth wall by looking at the player, you know, just how they sometimes do that in cartoons.

I think she looks really amazing, by the way.

@ meonlyred: Wow, she looks great. That's something I always liked about ME1: the graphics may not be as good as in ME2 and ME3 but Shepard, when done right, looks a lot... cleaner.

@ EvilDeity: That makes two of us. And yeah, actions shots are difficult with a camera. I've tried to snap multiple pictures at a time (ten in one second, I believe), hoping that it would produce something good. Alas, nothing so far.

Ahah, fortunately no, she's not an engineer There's some tech, as she's a sentinel (at least in her present iteration, her "previous self" was a vanguard) but nothing too hard for a military person to understand. Managing a mass effect field is not for everyone though...

It works perfecly well, although I'm a bit worried by run-away memory usage (using BMP files) if I leave it on automatic... Not that it is a problem at the moment, since my HD still has some 600 GB free, but you never know.

I had to pull out my ME1 screenshots because I didn't recall seeing Ashley and Kaidan becoming close. From what I saw of the follow-up conversation, she felt guilty because he died "for her." Like she felt personally responsible for a superior officer's death. And I couldn't tell if she was interested in him when Shepard asked point blank. Her response: "Don't ask, don't tell."

I figured there were two reasons why Ashley was not available: One, there were already two female-female romances available (same ratio for male-male) so Ashley's romance was not needed and two, probably wouldn't have fit her character. I saw some debating that her religion would probably have been a consideration. *shrug*

I didn't catch everything with Ashley's character so it's possible I am misremembering her conversations.

Thank you! And no, it's not modded. I'll try to grab a screenshot later of her at her armory screen so you can see which exact colors I used.

I can't find specific references either. It's more like a feeling at this point...based mostly on her reaction when Shepard mention Kaidan - after Ash sister's comment about him being cute. i think that's the one you refering to also...

My thought too. That uniform is my favorite casual wear.
