I guess that she has to keep using the Cerberus outfit then. You know, not to tease anyone one the ship. :)

Won't help, her inner hotness will still be there. Her crew will just have to suffer. ;)

Not even tuff looks would change that?

*snip*

Nope... :D

^^Not so tuff.

Okay, I want to give her a hug now.

Beautiful as usual. Interesting brush effect on your pic...

Thank you, SR. :) You are a constant source of encouragement.

I forget the exact effects I applied in that one, since it was a few weeks ago, but I don't think I put any brush/stroke effects per se. I know there is a blue neon glow effect, because I tried to bring out the lasers more, but that was a bit difficult given the white background. There's also the cutout filter on its high setting and medium opacity, to make more solid colors. I'm a big fan of solid colors. Think Star Trek uniforms. :)

Well it is inspiring. Those solid colors give it a little bit of a painting over canvas feel.

Yay! I finally got my new Shep into ME2.

Posted Image

I was going to change her hair since I had her code but for some reason I couldn't bring myself to do it. And I was surprised to see that Wrex apparently survives Virmire when he isn't recruited and therefore wasn't there.

For armour, I've always gone with no patterns and the color would be shades of black and/or gray and my canon always has red accents. For Reagan I decided to mix it up a bit.

Posted Image

In BDtS I would always get Colossus when I asked for light armour at the end. For some reason Reagan was given Titan and she wore it for the rest of the game, and she had done BDtS relatively early. So in honor of her favourite armour I gave her the camo pattern but changed the colouring to a blue to match her eyes, or that's what I was going for at least.

That's an awesome Shep!

I just did another ME1 file. I wonder if I can beat both games by March 6th O_o

You get the human colossus armor? I always ask for the quarian light armor...

Thanks. :) Yeah, I'm a horribly greedy Commander and make sure I have all the best equipment before my crew so I've never asked for the Quarian armour.

Reagan wouldn't have anyway, she became xenophobic after Mindoir and her and Tali do not get along at all. I've actually been startled at how differently Tali acted in 1 and on Freedom's Progress when Shep isn't nice to her. (It's actually made me like Tali even more.) In fact, I think the only alien Reagan's warming up to is Garrus and that's only because after Virmire she had to choose an alien companion to fill her squad and Garrus suited her needs better than Liara or Tali so she's gotten used to him through forced exposure. I like to think she's slowly going to get over her xenophobia over the course of the trilogy.

Amusing and kinda sad at the same time: I've been talking to a guy at work who's never played Mass Effect, and I mentioned that I can't wait for the third game. His response was (and I should mention that this guy is not known for trolling) "Is this that game where the Commander becomes a woman?" Another indication that people who've never played Mass Effect don't even know about femShep and her sudden appearance in ME3 advertising doesn't even make much sense to them :(
Hopefully the trailer will be out soon, and then everyone will see who's the most badass Shepard :D

I wouldn't say BW's marketing is failing, we have so much information to catch daily and people can get as much as they can with very limited time. For example, we know there has been a lot of protest in Eygpt, but how much details we know about it?

At least your co-worker know there is things happening with ME3, better than nothing at all, eh? ;)

I wish the trailer will not only show femshep but also, like what you said, send out a clear message to people out there that Commander Shepard is a character who kick **** no matter is a she or he.

Velina is ready to take the first run of ME3, not really sure if she can take it like everything else since Vancouver is where she was born....

Mass replay is so beautiful but this one has to go!

Velina felt guilty from not able to warn the Batarians in the system; however she will make sure the Reapers will payback a thousand times!

Garrus: "Really Shepard?"

Also, almost finished Faye's ME1 playthrough. I'll have it done by tomorrow. Yay!

@Hyper,
Probably not. She is the last one I can make before ME3. Next I'm going to do Zody's 'last' run through ME1 and 2. Since she is canon I want all her choices and actions to be fresh in my mind. It's the first thing I plan to do on my new computer!

@Aislinn,
Another caption!
Off screen Kaidan: "You and Garrus?"
Moira: "You see Kaidan when a Turian and a woman love each other very much..."
Garrus: "Oh boy..."

It's not failing, it's just that many people who never played Bioware games until Mass Effect (or never played Bioware games including Mass Effect, as is the case with my co-worker) don't know that there's always been a choice of gender for protagonist, and now these people create threads like "Is writing femShep dialogue worth it?" and that makes me sad :)

Well, I sure was lost for words when he asked me this with such open and sincere face :D But he never bought the game :( We have this big project that I hope will be finished before ME3 comes out... Still lots of debugging for me :(

Really like Jennifer. Very distinguished and serene beauty.
It's unfortunate that putting together an advertising campaign that will reflect even half of ME content is an enormous task. You would need a small documentary to have a clear idea of what it is about. Most people dismiss it for just another sci fi rpg. It is difficult to put in a short video sequence the concept behind ME. Not to excuse the lack of femshep exposure. But we are an indication on how difficult it is to grasp that concept -  by the way we discovered the game.
Well I found out about it when Jade Empire was still around ( ME was still a vague concept ) and from Bioware's approach in previous games i deducted that it would be possible to play as a female - and that there would be a right/dark path to complete the game. So i kept digging for footages of her.The game makers released some of hers in the cc to show how customizing your character would work; then some additional footages showing how conversation would work[ lot of Liara Sheploo exchanges - not exactly Sheploo but the first guy he was modeled after] - i  watched them frame by frame probably a thousand times. The buzz in video games discussions was around *Gears of War but i had my eyes set on ME. I got it the day it came out for Xbox 360.

*I did get G.o.W. later.

I played Bioware games since Baldur's Gate and these days I find that no other games really interest me anymore because there are no deep characters that you can build relationships with, whether romantic or downright hostile. It feels kinda... I don't know, lonely in those huge and otherwise interesting worlds? And the players usually only get quest- and world-related dialogue options, but nothing that has the same level of immersion as in Bioware games.  And femShep really stands out in that respect even among Bioware characters, I've never seen a protagonist that deep and alive! I've tried playing broShep, because of this guy I know who roleplays his broShep amazingly and I love reading his short stories, but something about Sheploo's animation and voice really bothers me, so... No Sheploo for me at least until next winter.
Ironically, I would've missed out on Mass Effect, because at that time I was only interested in fantasy games :) My boyfriend gave me the disc, and now that's probably the fondest memory I have of him :D But this lack of interest was really fortunate: I didn't follow ME1 and ME2 marketing campaigns and read no spoilers (didn't even know Archangel was Garrus, not to mention that Shepard dies in the beginning). If only I could say the same about ME3...

BW has done nice on the default females of late. First FemHawke default I thought was the best default female ever then they outdo that with ME3 FemShep (or at least the cover art because I don't know if in-game will be that way)

If the fact that we get a femshep cover art and trailer is any indication, I think in the next Bioware game we'll get both genders showed equally in advertising :) Hopefully

Except from Media exposure and a real life model, femshep got pretty much the same treatment as any Shepdude from the cc in ME 1  ( maybe some romantic animations could have been refined ). In ME 2 however i think she clearly took the backseat.
