Aargh! So many great FemSheps posted since I last commented, please forgive me if I don't comment on them this time (I will try and find time tomorrow to say something about them). They are all amazing though.

Jennifer completed the Suicide Mission today and I wanted to share some of her story with you. First thing to say is that although I won't be posting any images from them, she did complete both Tali and Legion's loyalty missions and (thanks to taking a more Paragon line recently) managed to resolve their disagreement amicably. :)

So, then on to Omega 4 relay....

Thane came to Jennifer and they finally consumated their love:
Posted Image

A pep talk before entering the Collectors Base:
Posted Image

Discovering the Normandy's crew:
Posted Image

As you can see, everyone was saved:
Posted Image
(Unfortunately, this was the last time Jennifer would see Jacob Taylor alive, as he gave his life escorting the crew to the Normandy.)

A second pep talk:
Posted Image

Caining the Human-Reaper Larva:
Posted Image

A prayer before dying?:
Posted Image
"Amonkira. Lord of Hunters. Grant that my hands be steady, my aim be true, and my feet swift. And should the worst come to pass, grant me forgiveness."  - Contrary to the ship's scuttlebutt, much of the time that Jennifer and Thane had been spending together in Life Support had been spent not in getting "hot 'n' sweaty" but rather in close study of drell religion as with Thane's help, Jennifer finally began dealing with her alcohol dependency.

Time for a swift exit:
Posted Image

Sometimes life has a way of surprising you. It had originally been my intention that Jennifer would catch Thane after the Human-Reaper had been destroyed, but for some reason I kept getting Miranda as the right-hand squad member; no matter how often I tried re-loading the final AutoSave. <_< So, in the end I went with catching Miranda instead. Which turned out to be somewhat fitting, given who helps haul Jennifer aboard the Normandy after her great leap into the void:

Posted Image ~ Posted Image

I'm actually happier with this ending because it rather wonderfully competes their personal journeys; Jennifer started off very hostile to Miranda and all the Cerberus crew since she still thought (and thinks) of Cerberus as a terrorist operation but after helping Miranda rescue Oriana (only because they happened to be on Ilium though) she got to see the inner vulnerability that Miranda kept hidden from everyone else (namely, Miri desparately craves a family/family life). At first Miranda was suspicious of Jennifer's motives but came to understand that because Jennifer wasn't threatened by her 'perfect' status she didn't treat Miranda as a sex object (as most men did) or a genetic super-soldier (as her father/Cerberus did) but rather as a human being and, most importantly, a woman whom she regarded as an equal. The 'I'll-Catch-You-You'll-Catch-Me' moments established a bond of mutual respect and friendship between the two women.

But this isn't the end of Jennifer's ME2 adventure however; apart from additional DLC she still has a number of side missions to complete - such as MSV Estevanico and Quarian Crash Site (to name just two) - so it'll be a few days before Jennifer Redux will be quite ready to begin ME3.

Once again, my apologies for not commenting on anyone else's FemSheps at this present time but I will try to rectify this omission in due course.

I've missed so much on this thread there's no way I can catch up. I found my long lost friend in the re-mastered Jak & Daxter legacy for PS3 and it's been keeping me away. Sorry ME but you've always been my second favorite trilogy :P.

Tup3xi wrote...

@Rikketik
Well obviously PC version is better but it was not what I meant. I was under impression that PS3 version was inferior to other platforms in every way.

But but... I really hope that they plan to release new proper DLCs for ME3. I don't care MP that much...

http://www.ps3focus....om/archives/40  roughly compares the specs for PS3 and Xbox 360. What sticks out to me is PS3 uses NVIDIA graphics, has a larger memory for more processing power, and supports more media formats.  All consoles look about the same to me picture and FPS wise, excluding a powerful PC.

I'm biased towards playstation consoles since they have always been reliable while Xbox scratches all my disks to the point of being unplayable. And I absolutely hate the bulky controller. In my opinion playstation always had to better games too. My poor PS2 is falling apart from years of abuse, literally, yet I don't want to part with it...Graphics wise on the PS3, with the remastered Jak games I've been playing, I've noticed how certain dark areas like the water during the night cycle of the game becomes pitch black instead of grey like it was on the PS2 where the waves were still visible. I'm not sure if that is a cause of the game, the system, or my own brightness settings.

For a DLC I know people are all fired up for an Omega retake but I'm hoping for a mission that digs deeper into the reapers or the first civilization that built the catalyst. Even more on the protheans to expand on Javik's character would be welcome. I've heard rumors of a reaper centered DLC of some sort but I'm avoiding anything related to it since I hate spoilers.

I'm not all that attached to Ellie whom I began in a modified ME2. She's nearly pure renegade, cares for no one but herself, and has never romanced anyone because no one can stand her attitude.  She's more Cerberus' lap dog than anything else and favors human dominance. The reaper invasion doesn't concern her all that much, she's just doing a job that pays the bills and lets her see action.  I mostly just like the way she looks and it's a chance for me to play vanguard.

Just imported her to ME3 today actually.
Posted Image

I finished Kira's playthrough as well but I'm not sure if I'll ever want to take her through ME3. She is my one and only Thane mancer who is 100% anti-Cerberus. Her hate for them led to Miranda's death during the suicide mission and Tali is exiled because Kira favored handing over the data to the quarians.

Just made some edits from my default FemShep playthrough. I am in love with the scarred FemShep mod haha. She just looks so badass!

I just finished my playthrough of my renegade FemShep last night... or the night before. Something like that. The ending made me cry, as usual. :pinched: I like the endings now, but it's so sad to see Shepard's story end.

Played through ME3 with Jane, finished. Nothing much changed for me in therms of motivations at the end. I was unsure of what she'd pick, but in the end couldn't veer off picking synthesis as I had with Laire. The other endings just don't fit them.

@raziel1980: Thanks for sharing Allison with us. I really enjoyed her pics.

@LadyAly: Wow, you played through Mel's game fast. Great pics of her, especially the ones with Samantha.

@mya11: Maeva looks great! She is very exotic.

@Ashoken: I really like Lida. Most of your pics have her face covered, though. Boo!

@Roamingmachine: I love that scene. Sarah looks good there.

@Jane Shepard: Mikaela! I missed seeing her here! She looks amazing in ME3.

@Akari: I love that photoshop of Hrist! It looks fantastic!

@ELE08: You have a real talent for making absolutely gorgeous Shepards

@meonlyred: Yay, more Zody. Loving the stream, even if it's helping me to procrastinate my own playthroughs. :innocent:

@demos99: Great shots! Maybe, like you did, I shouldn't be posting so many of the SM for Maria? But, several people like her, so I'm conflicted....

@razviolet: Great Shepards there!

@carine: Great shots! I love what you did with them!

@Ottemis: Great shots of Jane! And thanks for streaming your playthrough! I really enjoyed it!

I'm also loving Ottemis' blue casual mod, although it's not really showing to advantage in this shot :)

She looks great! Nice job with her!

I'm preparing Maria's ME3 playthrough. Yes, I finished the Arrival DLC today, so she's all set that way. Just need to get my texmods in order and fix her eyes in gibbed.

Taking a page out of Lianna's book... Custom Face texmod made for Maria by Ottemis, check. Eyes, check. Eyelashes, check. Green Caual outfit, check. N7 adjustment (chipped version), check. Shadow setting, ch... wait, what? I missed this somewhere. Link, please?

Oh, and have a few more pics of Maria from ME2.

My attempt at a flycam shot. I fixed the issue with the hotbar showing up after these pics were taken. I like picking Jack for the biotic escort. Her whole life she's been using her biotics to hurt and kill people. So, for the first time in her life, I give her the chance to use them to help and protect people.

http://cloud.steampo...3AC81B27D43832/

Struggling, but Jack's still moving forward.

I just love this shot. And that's Maria in the upper left so, still on topic, right?;)

This is a variation of that, yes (the code and the default me3 face.) The code is close but not the same.

Hm, I wish I had recorded the sliders - I have the base structure, but I tweaked it in the ME1 CC to look more like ME3.

And the texmod I'm using right now I made specifically for her for ME1 so it's not posted anywhere. I can upload it no problem though.

Thank You everyone for all your wonderful comments about Allison! :D It was a helluva ride with her I hope you enjoyed her new game + run as much as I did. If you wanna see more photos from Allison's playthrough through the trilogy... I posted most of them here :  femshep.ning.com/photo/photo/listForContributor

Now I'm going to re-reveal my femshep #9 Claire...I decided to redo her look from facial structure 9 to facial structure 8. :D. Her bio is still the same spacer, waro hero, soldier, kaidan-mancer.... not sure if I want her to be a paragade or renegon yet.

And I absolutely hate the bulky controller.

Seriously? I love that thing! Perfect grip and its relatively large weight provides excellent feedback. The PS2-controller was excellent when I was younger and my hands were smaller, but the Dualshock 3 feels too small, too light and too plastic. Or as Samantha Traynor would say: "I like the feel of something solid in my hands".

You're right about the PS3 being the more powerful console, though. (Although my assumption that it would therefore play most games better than the X360 came back to bite me in the ass when I bought Skyrim for the PS3... :P) The fact that it reads Blu-Ray disks (no disk swapping!) is also a plus.

@ Tup3xi: Well, to be honest... I assumed you could only sprint for a few seconds because Shepard starts breathing more heavily the longer you sprint. I guess my subconscious interprets that as "you've got to stop sprinting now!" when it gets really bad.

But even then: sprint in the Geth Consensus and you won't hear Shepard breathe. Still a nice detail. B)

@ LadyAly: It differs from game to game for me. I do tend to choose more often for a female hero in videogames now than I did a few years ago. I don't really know why, to be honest. I guess I'm just not that interested anymore in pretending to be that big, tough manly man on the screen. In fact, I have way more respect for female leads like female Commander Shepard, Lightning (Final Fantasy XIII) and Samus Aran (every Metroid game with the exception of Other M), who are obviously women, but who are not defined by their gender but by their combat capabilties.

@ Ottemis: Great shots! That moment with EDI is just so beautiful...

@raziel1980: The new Claire is an improvement. Nice job.

I finally started Maria in ME3. Played all the way through the Mars mission. One thing I found interesting is that some of the autodialogue is... different from Kendra's PT so far. Some is exactly the same, yes. But some is different. I'm guessing it's because Maria is Paragon and Kendra is Renegade. Also, some of the dialogue with a non-romanced VS is different from a romanced VS, which I did expect.

Bonus. Have a screenshot of Maria in ME3 that's NOT from the intro.

To be honest, at first I was a bit worried by the scars coming back, like she was loosing some sort of "innocence". But, actually, after thinking about it I guess it fits better with the character, and it does make her look like she means business when she's frowing, or otherwise not making a happy face. razviolet wrote...

Speaking of coffee--how does your femshep like theirs made?

Straight black, and as hot as possible. Hannah took cream and sugar in her coffee originally, but long stretches in the field where those are unavailable teaught her to appreciate the flavor of the straight stuff.

LadyAly wrote...

FemShep Question: What did your Shep feel about the Monastery ? What did you decide - with or without Samara ? And why ?

Samara was a former sister-in-arms and a friend, so there was no way that Hannah could let her kill herself. She spent the rest of the game worrying about Falere, but hopeful that the Reapers would assume that nobody survived the bombing of the monestary.

TheMarshal wrote...

For you infiltrators in the crowd, which squaddies do you bring with you for support? Or at least, which do you feel best support the class?

For my default arrangement I like to have a biotic or tech specialist as squaddie #1, and someone with Big Gun skills as squaddie #2. My default squad in ME1 was Liara and Ashley, and I use them a lot in ME3 as well (although Garrus sometimes replaces Ash, depending on my mood). For the Cerberus missions on Tuchanka, I like to use Garrus and Javik. For the Rannoch missions, since I know I'm going to be dealing with a lot of geth I've alternated between Liara/Ash and Tali/EDI.

Tup3xi wrote...

Another question: Five things others may not know about your Shepard(s).

Aside from what the "R" in "R. Hannah Shepard" stands for, here's Hannah's Top Five:

1. She's bisexual - she made a point of not having a relationship with anybody for a long time before she took her post on the Normandy, and although she felt a bit of a spark for Kaidan, after she wound up with Liara everybody just assumed that she was gay.
2. Like ADLegend's FemShep, Hannah is fluent in Prothean due to the beacon's signal and the cipher having embedded themselves in her consciousness (Hannah herself didn't truly realise this until she was the only one able to understand the recordings on Eden Prime in ME3).
3. She had an Alliance crest tattooed on her left hip when she enlisted, which she lost during the reconstruction of her body by Project Lazarus. By the time things had slowed down enough for her to consider getting it replaced, she was under house arrest on Earth and too angry to consider getting it redone.
4. She had been an agnostic for most of her life, but could respect the depth of faith of others. After beginning her relationship with Liara, though, she had started learning about the Asari worship of Athame because of the comfort Liara took from them. Learning the truth about the Protheans' manipulations made the very dark headspace she was getting into over the course of ME3 be that much darker, and hurt that much worse.
5. She can sing well, but hasn't sung around others since the mission to Akuze. Just before the deaths began, she was flirting with her CO over a private comm channel. They had been keeping their relationship a secret because it was a violation of the military's regulations against fraternisation, and she had just started on the first verse of a song she was writing for him as the screaming started.

draken-heart wrote...

how would all fem!Shepard players react if she was offered the human Council Seat? How would you want your Shepard's LI to react?

Hannah would turn it down, both because she's never been much of a politician, and because she knows it would only be a matter of time before the rest of the Councilors began to resent her popularity as Savior Of The Galaxy overshadowing the rest of the Council. She would ask them to name Hackett in her place, and would use just enough of her influence to make sure he was approved for the seat. Liara would support her decision, because if Hannah did become Councilor they would get even less time alone together than they had during the War.

@Gilsa: Love the circuitry effect on Natalie's face in her screenshot! Very nicely done.

@Akari Tenshi: Alice's freckles are adorable. :)

As I said previously, I watched the 'tube vids for all three EC endings and am now re-playing Kassia (finally have the will thanks to EC, although MP's siren's song often leads me astray). She will go for Destroy, regardless of EDI or geth (she will be against the Joker/EDI pairing anyway, and would see Synthesis as an abomination).

The reapers arrive and your estranged lover saves your arse, all in one day. This is going to be a long war...

Awkward silence, or is Kaidan just looking a tad old? Something has him looking worried too...

At least they are communicating now, but at times like these she wonders if she saved the wrong person back on Virmire...

She loves it when James is all serious about killing stuff...

They both still have something in common: not sure if Liara is serious...

Ah, the sweet stench of hypocrisy is in the air...

Don't you worry, Kai. You may have broken her heart a little on Horizon, but her fireman's lift is safe as always...

Military says go talk to the Council, you say: "Ay, ay, sah!"

Well, they do have same amount of RAM. In Xbox it is unified 512 mb for both cpu and gpu. In PS3 it is split to 256 mb for gpu (which is similar to GeForce 7800 series) and 256 mb of xdr ram for cpu. It is easier to use the memory on Xbox from programmers pow. Performance wise they are pretty much equal in hardware.

I personally think that Xbox has superior controller, it is just the right size and does not feel cheap. Triggers are better for driving too. I use it all the time for racing, platformers and batman style games.

But this is a wee bit of topic...

Really nice shots everyone and something interesting stuff to read too!
