@LadyAly
Well, she was very grateful and happy that it ended up like it did. She values her as a friend and that at least in my opinion strengthened their friendship.

The initial reaction was fury, she was pissed beyond what i really can describe. As time passed and she could deal with it she was just somewhat annoyed but she understand why Liara did what she did. She might never forget and forgive but she understand and value Liara enough to not let it come between them. Instead she just bottle her anger up like she always do and it drives her to fulfill her promise to end Cerberus when the chance arise.
Sarah never really felt that she deserved to live after everyone died on Mindoir. Then when she get a second chance at life it's the same feelings, she don't want to live. She struggle to find a reason to live and in the end she resign herself to the thought that she live to destroy the Reapers and to give others a new chance at life.

Hmm... good question...
Jane was pretty hurt and greatful at the same time. My Shepard can be very emotional sometimes. Once Liara told her about that, Jane wanted to scream. She wanted to blame Liara for what she has done. "So it was you! It's all because of you! I hate you!", Jane yelled in her mind. She wanted to run away from Liara's office immediately. But then seeing Liara's sad face Jane realized she was wrong. Liara saved her. Cerberus restored Jane's body, gave her new "Normandy", new team, new focus... some old friends joined her.  But Jane never trusted them, more than that, she was afraid of them. Jane knew, she wouldn't be here if not for Liara and Cerberus. However it was very hard for her to say "You did the right thing, Liara."

Lia would be conflicted, since her experiences with Cerberus showed her just how ruthless they were in pursuing their technological advances, while claiming to represent humanity. Corporal Toomb's account of Akuze affected her profoundly. She would be hard pressed to understand how her friend could put such blind faith in people like that.

Lena, on the other hand, was furious, since she's extremely distrustful of groups like Cerberus and thinks Liara should have known better. It's driven somewhat of a wedge between them, partly because of Lena projecting a lot of her frustration over her lost 2 years and her sense of hopelessness over her warnings being ignored by everyone onto Liara and Project Lazarus.

I have to say that (now that question kinda reminded me about this) some times Liara made Shepard feel rather uneasy and embarrassed in ME1 with her interest towards her. It wasn't mutual feeling and thus caused rather awkward situation
(she definitely is not into women or aluens that look like women).

Tiia doing this and that.

Thanks for all the comments on Aki!

@Syrdeth: I can't find the original post for the shadow settings, but I do have them in a text file at home - I'll post 'em up again later!

Liara and Aki weren't close in ME1 - I did Therum last so by the time Liara came aboard, Aki only had eyes for Kaidan and was somewhat put off stride by the hallucinating Asari she'd rescued suddenly proclaiming an attraction to her as well. She tried to let her down gently but didn't really think something that sudden could be serious. Waking up from being dead and then finding out that it was Liara who gave her to Cerberus to bring her back - that's crazy-stalker obsession, and the whole idea of being brought back at all makes her want to vomit.

The only thing that salvages any friendship between them is that Aki can empathise as well - she couldn't swear she wouldn't have done something equally terrible to bring Kaidan back if the situation had been different.

So I played with Gibbed's for a few minutes, and got Kyla with Allers' hair, just to see what it look like.

Not the best lightning here, and the thing on the forehead is a bit annoying, but eh... Will probably not play here like that, but I might save some editing for a future shep

As promised, a wall of catch-up.

@LadyAly: Reyna - Nice shots of Reyna in London & on the Crucible; a great end to her story (if indeed it is the end ;)) Thank you for introducing Mel too.

@SebAusFR: Love each of Kyla's 'dressing' for the occasion uniforms. The Benning armor looks almost 'Roman-esque'. Where does the 'flying' picture come from?

@Rikketik: Thank you for sharing Berlitz's story with us.

@meonlyred: Great picture of Zody and Kasumi.

@Discrepancy: FemShep fanart is always welcome here I'm guessing.

@raziel1980: Claire looks very interesting; will look forward to seeing how she develops. Alison's story kept getting better right to the end. Denise is still stunning of course.

@MizzNaaa: Nice pictures of Jennifer on the Citadel

@SilverMoonDragon: Very cool picture of Emmarose (in green) with EDI

@Hadeedak: Good to see Yoshimi came through in the end (as if there was any doubt :P)

@Syrdeth: Aww! Maria has freckles! Kendra has scars! Would agree with you about having Jack as the Biotic Specialist on the SM; the first time I tried it with Samara (really Morinth) but Jack worked so much better in my opinion.

@lastpatriot: others have said this already but your FemShep's hair colour is fantastic! You can tell she's worth it. ;)

@Akari Tenshi: Hrist definitely looks super-badass in that random screenshot. And that was a great picture you made in Photoshop - can't help thinking Shepard looks like she's in the middle of a game of Blockbusters! :D

@mya11: Maeva is stunning. What's her background? Latino, Indian or something else?

@Lianna sFfalenn: looking forward to see more of Aki with the new mods

@Ashoken: Excellent shot of Javik and Lida.

@Jane Shepard: Mikaela is gorgeous.

@ELE08: I must say I think Joane's hair really suits her.

@carine: Great to see a default Jane Shepard in this thread.

@Bowie Hawkins: Really enjoyed reading about Hannah's top five.

@Kyrene: Loved the captions for Kassia's pictures. :D

@Tup3xi: Tiia should do 'this and that' more often. :P

Jennifer Redux had tried being dead and didn't much care for it so she was happy that Liara had made the decision (sacrifice even?) that she had. If it came down to being in the hands of Cerberus or the Collectors she knew which she preferred. Besides, she wouldn't have met Thane if not for Cerberus.

My attempt at a flycam shot. I fixed the issue with the hotbar showing up after these pics were taken. I like picking Jack for the biotic escort. Her whole life she's been using her biotics to hurt and kill people. So, for the first time in her life, I give her the chance to use them to help and protect people.

Struggling, but Jack's still moving forward.

Fits the kind of person Jacqueline became in ME3. I love that part.

Even in light of what happened in Horizon, i didn't realize things were that bad between them. Kassia seems to take it as a serious breach of trust. If i wasn't seeing things through my femshep lense, would my take on how Kaidan reacted to femshep/cerberus 'alliance' be different? I think yes...to a certain degree.

@LadyAly: Deirdre is a survivor at heart; Mindoir, Akuze...that's what she does. She was glad to be alive - and thought that Liara did the right thing only in light of what the Shadow Broker and the Collectors were planning to do with her body. She was relieved to find out that she did remain the same person. As an Alliance operator, you're always handed bad set of cards; she wasn't gonna cry about it but make the most of it: save the colonist and screw TIM over...blow up that freaking base and send the Collectors into Oblivion.

Thanks :D The flying picture is from Sur'kesh, when they are running away from the elevator bomb. The sequence is very quick, hard to get a good screen out of it (manually, I mean).

True! I like this sandy blonde colour. Looks a bit clearer with the hair untied than her "normal" hairdo.

Alright, Kyla's fighting around Tunchaka. Still thinking about a way to avoid curing the Genophage and giving Wreav its army. But Mordin's enthusiasm is overwhelming, so she hasn't had the courage to go speak to Eve yet...

Garrus and Kyla are well coloured for their mission to come!

More colours on location!

"Be proud Turians, not cowards! Show them the way!"

After having shouted on the Turians, time to give them the doe eyes to compensate a bit. She's a Garrus-mancer after all :P

En route to Tuchanka again; Cerberus has decided to annoy Kyla wherever she goes... I like the lightning here.

I like this part of the mission, more feeling you are part of a bigger picture...

"Lt. Viktus is dead... I'm sorry. He died an honourable death."

And yet again shouting at Krogans (and Turians, no jealous). The expression is well rendered here...

"Oh....

Huh."

I think what throws ME about that is that it ends up feeling way personal. That works fine for the Liaramancers, but it really doesn't fit for those who did not romance Liara. It *could* have been that Liara, being the one to see the visions of the Prothean beacons through Shepard's mind, realizes that Shepard is the only person who has the key to this fight: the real knowledge of what the Reapers are about. Liara knows no one will fight like Shepard will, and if the options are to let the Collectors dissect her or let Cerberus rebuild her, its the lesser of two evils. It's as much for a freind as it is for the good of the galaxy that Liara brings Shepard back.

But....that's not actually what we were given. So that's how I roll with it in my headcanon: Liara did this because of all the practical reasons - and her personal ones she keeps to herself.

Kallen was pretty pissed. She was happy in heaven or wherever she was with Kaidan and even with Ashley's father and then she woke up on Lazarus station. From peace to war, kind of sucky, especially when the galaxy had moved on without her. Se recognizes the need but she was pissed when she found out.

@SebAusFR ; Kyla looks great with Allers...you modd the LOD vectors though to remove the space where the style splitys at the front. If you scroll about about 5 or so pages in the thread I believe Rikketik posted the LOD(0) vector numbers. Hope this helps...and welcome to the modding/editing community of femshep! :D

Thanks on all 3 accounts! The old saying rings true here for me...when one Shepard's story ends(Allison)...another couple continue(Denise-soon once I ready to play some ME 3 again, Stacia in ME 2)... and atleast 2 more begin( Gabby-redux and Claire). :D

I don't have any new pics to share with you all yet...as I had to go to bed last night before I could upload my new ME 1 set of Gabriella pics...but I will upload and post them once I reach home! :D

For now here is one of ME 1 Gabby...

@LadyAly: Your question about Liara... that is based soley on my shep's personality most are greatfult to be alive..but they are still annoyed at her for giving them back to Cerberus. One however was happy she did do that since that gave them a chance to be happy and continue their romance( Amelia).

MaxShadowResolution is performance killer and bigger is better in it. if you aren't forcing ridiculous amounts of MSAA or SSAA 2048 should be fine too. Maximum is probably 4096.

I found this greatly improved the shadows for me, very smooth where before I was getting jaggies all over the place.

Asche was very angry at Liara for what she had done. It soured their relationship and they didn't really make up until that final sharing of consciousness at the end of ME3. Asche maintained that Liara should have taken her body and incinerAted it rather than let the Collectors or Cerberus have it.

Asche always felt like a ghost after waking up I'm that Cernerus lab. She feels she should have been allowed to die in space. It was her time. Being brought back by Cerberus is a horror she has trouble facing. Luckily she has Kaidan.

Lida, well, she loves that silly blue gal despite Lida's fling with Jacob. Lisa ia grateful to be more than meat and tubes.

"I couldn't let you go."

Yeah, I feel like if you don't romance Liara she still carries a torch for Shepard.  The feelings are always there, even if Shepard is with someone else.  I mean, how often does that happen in real life as well?

I'm always friends with Liara.  If they know about her feelings, they are sympathetic.
My last playthrough I did the me3 initiated romance with her, and she is taken aback, but it's clearly something she's wanted for some time and has resigned herself to never happening.  I found it quite touching actually (minus the bug with Shep making out with thin air in her cabin...lol.)

How Shep feels about being brought back is addressed in the game for me on Chronos station.  It's just science to her, no different from just being unconscious, so she can't say much about it.

The lost time and physical upgrades were shocking, and if anything she was angry at the situation, but not at Liara.

Also addressed in Me2 for me when she says, it's okay, what I'm doing is important.  I couldn't be doing it if you hadn't given me to Cerberus.

So much like working with Cerberus in Me2 as well, she hates it, but it's the only way.  If Shep feels anything, it's frustration, at being stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Kind of like the player when they're forced to do things they don't want to.  Don't want Liara around? Too bad.  Don't want to flirt with James? Well you're gonna!

Begrudging acceptance.

I agree with sagequeen that Liara did have some very practical reasons for saving Shepard, including her visions of the Prothean beacon, her leadership abilities, and their friendship, but ultimately I feel that she was always carrying a secret torch for Shepard (whether this was intentional on Bioware's part or just a result of re-used dialogue from her romance, I'm not sure, but it's definitely how it comes across to me, and I actually think it adds a lot to her character/her relationship with Shepard, so I'm going with it).

Anja was kind of oblivious to this, because she's a pretty straightforward person, and since she told Liara in ME1 that she wasn't interested, she had considered the matter settled. It's not really until their final goodbye in ME3 that Anja suddenly realized the extent of Liara's feelings for her.

Posted Image

But Anja's always had a deep affection for Liara, and appreciates what Liara did and does not take it lightly.

Shocked.  Then relieved.  Then some measure of guilt and grief.  Bear in mind that I headcanon a different chain of events for Liara and Alice in ME2.  I prefer to think that Liara never mentioned that she had been the one to recover her body and hand it over to Cerberus, and that the relationship between Alice and Liara grew more and more strained because Liara was fearful of what Alice would think and Alice was upset that Liara was being so cool and distant (god it sounds like high school drama when I put it like that!)

I also envision a more dramatic fight with the Shadow Broker, and he's the one who reveals what happened (kind of as an F-U to Liara).  I tried to capture the aftermath of the whole thing in Reasons.

I'm biased towards playstation consoles since they have always been reliable while Xbox scratches all my disks to the point of being unplayable. And I absolutely hate the bulky controller. In my opinion playstation always had to better games too. My poor PS2 is falling apart from years of abuse, literally, yet I don't want to part with it...Graphics wise on the PS3, with the remastered Jak games I've been playing, I've noticed how certain dark areas like the water during the night cycle of the game becomes pitch black instead of grey like it was on the PS2 where the waves were still visible. I'm not sure if that is a cause of the game, the system, or my own brightness settings.

I agree for the playstation controller and hardware. But i love my 360(and it's online service) as much as i love my ps3.
Sorry for being a little off topic.
That should make up for it...a little.

Zody was hummm.... pissed to put it mildly. One of the few times she ever yelled at a friend. Not one of her proudest moments. She believed she was better off dead. She has no family and no long term friends, she had Kaidan but their relationship could be measured in months not years. He spent more time mourning her then they were together. To her, she believed the ones who died aboard the Normandy had more reasons to be brought back than her. They had family: spouses, children, parents. She felt they deserved to live more than her. Zody never felt like she was anything special, just a soldier, anyone could do what she has done. She eventually comes to terms with it and Liara and her become closer than ever.

Erica hated Liara in the beginning of ME1, but after Benezia was killed and Erica saw how strong the asari was during that whole encounter, she grew to respect her.  They became very good friends after that.  Erica was pretty much oblivious to the fact that Liara was holding a torch for her and just thought it was an asari thing. She was angry, but grateful and more concerned that Liara had made a deal w/ the devil to bring her back.
Diane was the only one who out right hated Liara for it as she figured she was better off dead. Their friendship never recovered. Diane got ninjamanced via the renegade bug and thus she and Liara had a one night stand.

The rest of my non-romanced Sheps either knew how Liara felt or were very close friends with her, so it made sense.

UJ was conflicted to say the least as she hates Cerberus.  She was shocked at first, then mad, but she understood why Liara did it. So, she thanked her or whatever the paragon option is and told Liara she's always want to have her in her life. As for being brought back, she felt out of time and out of touch w/everything.  She was basically in a cage working for Cerberus and couldn’t reflect on it w/ the people who mattered most.  If I was to write out how she felt about being who or what she was, I’m sure there would be a clichéd broken mirror in there somewhere.
