Oh, and about the Barrier: Ayla uses it as her bonus power, but I never let her discharge it. I think it's main strengths are damage protection (always useful for a Vanguard) and the +25% bonus in Biotic Power Strength (very useful for a Charge + Nova Vanguard).

@ razviolet: I loved reading about Mercy again. I like how she doesn't always take the popular options (I always invite Kaidan back on the Normandy, for example).

@ LadyAly: Thank you! And yeah, that scene with Garrus. I believe that was the one scene in which Hale had to stop because she became too emotional. And with Liara, well, I always liked the "friends" version of her gift better than the "lovers" version. Given her age and how much she has grown the last two years, it's easy to forget Liara is still vey young for an Asari. When she lays her head on Shepard's shoulder it's almost as if you are watching a young girl (Liara) seeking comfort in her older sister's (Shepard) strength.

@ Ashoken: Haha, I think's Harbinger's voice is more suited for grunting (like they do in death and black metal for example). Or he could cover a song by Barry White...

And for some reason Erin reminds me of someone, but I don't know who. Well, anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing more of her.

I can only say the batch Ottemis linked is very helpfully and Texmod better to handle with. It hepls to mess up stuff with typos ... which happened to me once...

You have to run texmod every time. ME is technically not moddable, no override folder provided like with DA. We can't replace or add anything to the gamefiles.Texmod basically actively replaces textures loaded into memory with ones selected in texmod through mods. It's not so much modding as it is hacking.
Because the renaming process is tedious, there's a batchfile available that does that for you and makes the boot-process easier and less confusing. Download link here.

Ok so, how to use this:
Place that texmod.bat file in your installation folder ..Origin GamesMass Effect 3BinariesWin32. Place texmod.exe in the same folder.

When you want to boot texmod, you start by running the .bat file.
This will open a prompt, it will tell you to start ME3 through Origin (at this point the .bat has renamed ME3.exe and texmod.exe for you). Doing so boots texmod.

When texmod is booted, reselect the .bat prompt and hit enter (it will now rename the exe files back). Next it tells you to select ME3.exe in texmod, be sure to manually browse to the exe file.

Go back to the prompt and hit enter so it disappears. From there do your regular thing.
It might sound like alot of work, but it's done quite fast.

Oh, whoa, thank you so much for this. I might actually use Texmod now! It just seemed like so much more trouble than it was worth for ME3.

I can't imagine ME without Liara and with the DLC she has a huge part in ME2. Beside you can visit her often - even if the dialogue is a bit meager - but we have headcannon right ?

Oh, I have it now, sure! Just when ME2 came out, with pretty much a slap in the face w/ Liara, I still managed to play it until LotSB got released.

Purple does compliment her eye color.
I love Bekenstein. Apart from the obvious glamourous setting, it opens up ME world to a refreshing new perspective and injects a good dose of realism in it too - even more so because of the fact that my Deirdre felt so out of touch at the beginning of Kasumi LM. It's a good indication on how and where some of the Universe most powerful congregate - how and where life outside of the Alliance takes its course. In that regard i find Bekenstein, Illium and Omega so intriguing and attractive.

Yeah I see. I started to play ME1 last year in June. Before I refused resolute to play a SciFi Game - I was addicted to DA:O and other MMORPG's like LotRo. But this game caught me immediately ( beside the deeply hated Mako ) ME turned me from a strictly Fantasy Gamer to a addicted Massy
And I am not a Liaramancer - but I like her very much, though.

Had a great time reading about the student rescue and Eden Prime.
I was reflecting on Javik's views and how the Universe should/does favor the rise and survival of the strong over the weak - and  how he is himself a direct contradiction to his own theory: he would have otherwise accepted the rule of the Reapers, as dominant species, over the Prothean Empire(weak species) or at least recognize their claim to rule all sentient civilizations. I think his frustration - apart from the obvious massive loss of Prothean lives - mostly comes from the fact that his Empire moved down the food chain. He's no longer the wolf, but is actually hunted down like the sheep. I do however welcome his cynical and bleak outlook as a reminder not to be complaisant.

Passing quickly here, I just wanted to make Kyla's story moves a bit I'll comment/reply tomorrow when I have a bit more time, now, let's see what Kyla has been up to! Sorry if the quality is not as good as the previous little texts, it's getting late here...


The day continued, with a lot of work for a Spectre. Everyone was cleaning up, which showed how the mood had profoundly changed on the Citadel. Was it a good thing? Kyla took the time to visit Steve and Ashley at the memorial wall as she had promised. Caring for her crew was important.


Then, she put herself it some troubles. Why did she had to be held at point blank range each time she came to the Citadel? "Don't you understand? The whole Galaxy was at stake. We'd be both death or husks by now if they hadn't died."

 
That was it, the long awaited moment. Garrus wanted to do something "stupid", in his own words. Inside, Kyla was boiling with excitment; outside, she was doing her best to keep her composure. But it was hard, pretty damn hard. Especially when Garrus was trying to place the cheesy things he saw on vids.


"-Garrus, the only reason why I could get all through this is because I knew that you'd be there, somewhere, waiting for me. I love you. I do."
"-Wow... hum... the vids Joker gave me didn't went that far..."
"-Forget the vids for a sec, would you? You're cheesy enough without them"
"-I wonder whether I should take that as a compliment..."


"-You know I like to play with big guns, Vakarian"
"-Is this one to your taste?"
"-I'll guess that'll be enough for now... I've already seen the backup, though. Not exactly the same caliber!"
"-Do not get me started on your dancing, Commander, it will get dirty. Especially regarding yesterday.".


A few days later, moving on to fight Cerberus again and meeting yet another old acquaintaince for the occasion. "What do you mean, there are children here? You could have told me earlier! I'm trying to fight a war and save lives here, and this is quite careless"

Woohoo! Hey I remain steadfast in my conviction that the pestering was for a good cause! This is highly relevant! And an insanely good piece of work - I feel honored that you used Lia for this

The composition and filtering on the picture is great, I love how the grainy nature accentuates the colours. It makes it fit more with the theme of war being a dirty business. Really really amazing.

Initially it was mostly because of too many unknown. Biotics and the biotic community as a whole are/is always presented or described as a fact of life or phenomenon that tend to exclude Shepard. Too many times references are made by her or an NPC, when talking about it, as something with no real impact on her. It  bothers me - so much that i have a hard time playing as a biotic. There are so many little interesting things only hinted at, that shape biotic's everyday life/routine; like eating habits or stuff like that...or the way they're perceived; distrust etc...
All that has a lesser imprint in ME3 - But i really feel that void in ME and ME2.  

I admit I never thought about it that much but I see your point.

Most of the times, yes: Tac cloak, shotgun to the face, sticky 'nade and repeat but I also use some explosions, mainly BE's and FE's. And you should definitely try it, it's fun:wizard:

Just a short peek in - Tup3xis Converter is pretty awesome. I started Kayleigh in ME1 - need to write still a background. Maybe at the weekend.

But look at this - *gives Tup3xi a hug*





Maybe I need some ME1 textures for the hair and stuff - but she looks already very close to ME3  - especially for the hair I think <.<
