Okay - after 3 hrs sleep ( which is a lot atm ) my brain isn't blurred anymore.

@Ottemis Okies - Blogs work - I admitt it. But I would prefer top stay and post here where actually all people can read and see my post. I have agreed to reason and necessarity before to limit myself down.
Still, the bad feeling in my stomache isn't fully away. There was far too much hidden aggro and hurted feelings in some posts - call me a oversensitive person. But its more personal experience - I had once my own forum and I know what I'm talking about. Would be very sad to see this here, too.
Otherwise some of the comments let me grinning. I love all of you - wont miss anyone. So it might be okay in time again.

And hell yes - everyone should have sneeze face Shep

@merylisk I told you already that you are very gifted - love your artwork very much
@Tup3xi Have a TIIA is <3

Hah - about the staring thing = artist thing ??? You have no idea. I'm no artist at all - maybe a bad writer and a decent photographer - but not an artist. I tend to stare on beautiful women and a sexy well formed man ass ( oh- this is a bit off topic:P) Infact I can stare in awe at many things - Beauty is around us - we just need to open our eyes.

@meonlyred
Awww.. the cuddle pic is so cute. Nothing wrong with to be a narcisitc bastard as long as you post such pics.
@Rikketik ... and another one... I never could draw like this. So I just admire the posts

@razviolet Javik and Mercy - a interesting take on the feelings of him in the Horrorhole of Sanctuary - like it very much.

@Sinapus Edward is a woman name ? Interesting. She looks like a fierce horse - waiting restless for the signal to race. Badass habit around her:happy:

@Saturn Ring glad you will post it here ...:o
@VaLkyR_Anubis  thats a pretty touching scene in ME3.
@raziel1980 Battle with Saren is a awesome shot - badass Beauty - and yes I'm ready ;)

Chiara doing some missions - rescue the scientists. Suprised she met Jacob again - noticing he left Cerberus let her be milder against him. She didn't even ask if he wants to join her mission, though.

She's based off an anime character so I had to keep the name. (I blame Aislinn Trista's TANK! video, but really it's my demented mind at work again.)

It's a screenshot I usually get at the point where you've completed all the planets and are called back to the Citadel to speak to the Council. I think I have one for every Shep I've run through ME1. (Ooo... five other FemSheps, I wouldn't break the limit. Except I'm about to head home from work so I'd rather do that than hunt down each screenshot from photobucket. The topic is SAVED... Hm. Getting manic. Glad I'm headed home then.)

Lots of artwork in the thread today, you guys are really talented!
Makes me wish I never stopped trying to draw, but I suppose I dont have the persistence.
I can write a bit, but the language barrier makes me a bit self-conscious. Though I see quite a few people are Dutch here! =P

@ Raziel1980
Your screenshots always have such intense, pretty colours!
I suppose you're using an FXAA injector?

@ LadyAly
Chiara looks really great. Love the colours you used on her armour, too. :)
As for Jacob, I never got why he didn't use his barrier when he got shot. Cutscene induced stupidity, I guess? =P

I was planning on running Olivia through ME1-2-3 again, but Rosalie came up. I just couldn't help myself after I got her face texture right in all games.

Random, general question: does anyone else notice when making FemSheps in the CC they happen to give them similar features?
Nothing major, but I noticed between me and my friend that I always give my Sheps full faces, whereas my friend gives them gaunt faces. =)

^^Well... I only have one Shep but that does indeed happen in other games and would happen in this too.

@ meonlyred: Wow, awesome! I wish I could draw original stuff like that. I can draw, but only when I have an finished example that I can, well, copy. For example, here's an drawing of FemShep that I still have to finish:

Three guesses which picture is the original! Also I hate drawing mouths.

Anyway, I guess I'm just too much of a perfectionist to draw original stuff. Sometimes I try to sketch something, but I always end up frustrated by the fact that I can't immediately get it right. And by 'it' I mean proportions and stuff. How do you guys do that? I never took drawing classes (except for two years at high school, but I didn't learn that much there), but I've read somewhere that it's actually quite common for even the most experienced artists to look for photographes or other drawings to use as reference. Maybe I should try that sometime.

In any case it think yours looks better than the original.

Hahaha, totally. All my Shepards tend to have very sharp features and strong bone structure (i.e. not super full or youthful faces). I mean, look at my two main Shepards, Anja and Naomi. Cheekbones for miiiiiiiiiles on both of them hah. Also full lips.

For some reason I can't remember when that pose in your last shot happens.

Some progress...

How does this thing work!?

Crossing the bridge next to the relay "statue". FOV 25 test, yeah... Low FOV is obviously better for close ups and in some cases can be really handy.

I think I haven't done enough Sheps yet to notice such a thing [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie] Nonetheless... In ME2, I created 2 original faces and used another one from the FaceDatabase. In ME3, Kyla v1 was based on my second ME2 original face, Kyla v2 (the current, good one) is a tweaking of v1 and Claire is Kyla v2 with different hair, eyes colours and texture. Maybe there's an emerging pattern here :P

Yes, I found I did this also back during ME2. For my ME3 Shepards, I deliberately try to give them different features, and that the features go together by basing them of actual photos of people (FYI, if your going to use google images for your source material, its best not to be sitting in a common area like a lounge room ).

If I can, I always try to recreate Olivia. If a fantasy game, I tend to go with my elf character. I used to play WoW for quite a bit, so she stuck. =P
Oh, and the pose is from the approach to Grissom Academy. The Normandy cockpit has great lighting.
Loving the third shot of Tiia!

@ SebAusFR
Haha, I mostly gave her that armour with the idea that while she might look made up and pretty, you shouldn't mess with her!
It's amazing how different a Shep can look with a different face texture and hairstyle though.
Claire uses the defaultshep texture, right? It looks good on her, I never got it to work right.

@ xbb1024
Dare I ask why that is?

I once tried that face structure challenge for ME3 (the ME2 CC makes me want to hurt things. Too much waiting, and no good angles!).

Love the art pieces posted recently. I'm always a little bit jelous of people who can draw, and the options it gives you for capturing a moment in Shepard's life that isn't depicted in the games.

I do the same thing, yes. There tends to be a couple of eyes, noses and mouths that work for me, but I struggle to get decent results out of the other options. I seem to always make characters that have a similar look too. Not just in Mass Effect, but any game with a CC.

For example I made a new Shepard recently and even though I used face shape 9, and  different mouth and nose options for her, she still kinda looks like my other Shepards to me. And since I haven't posted any shots of her here at all, I might as well do that now:

Image IPB

Image IPB

Athalya Shepard: Earthborn, Ruthless, Vanguard.

I've already run her through ME1, and I've just finished Horizon with her in ME2. She romanced Kaidan initially, but I think she'll end up with Garrus for the last two games. She doesn't have a backstory yet, but hopfully that will emerge as I go through the rest of the series with her. She's pretty sarcastic though and doesn't really do subtle when it comes to dealing with people.

She killed the Rachno Queen, and chose to have the Alliance fleet concentrate on Sovereign during the battle of the citadel, resulting in the council being killed. She didn't recruit Wrex, as she didn't trust the krogan bounty hunter when they met, which means that she won't be curing the genophage come ME3.

I’m only a part-time artist (also –plumber, -gynaecologist, -cook, -electrician, -medic, -handyman, etc.), but I find that playing too many games with face sliders has made me notice people too. As in a, “Oh, she’s got a ME number 2 nose,” or “Wow, did you see that guy has Alistair’s hair,” whenever I look at people.
***
As for the last couple of pages of back and forth discussion, having been for the longest time someone very dependent on limiting my bandwidth usage, I can only applaud MizzNaa for being the “wolf in the story” and reminding everyone to just be conscious of how they post. Just because you can view this thread on your phone (or laptop or tablet or PC or Xbox) with no problems does not make selfish (or unthinking if you prefer) behaviour okay.

I’ll be honest, regardless of me reading this (thread) at work (where I have more bandwidth, but less time) or at home (less bandwidth and more time), I scroll over every post of fanfic and picspam without regard. Perhaps it is because from a young age the word “brevity” and the English saying “Brevity is the soul of wit” has stuck in my makeup. The large amount of information overload has been a contributing factor that has turned me off this thread for the most part.

And because I should at least attempt to live by the values I extol:
tl;dr
Try not to picspam/textspam in the thread. Kthxbye!

@audience - I would not want to mess with er for sure... ;) and yes, Claire uses the default femshep texture. It was not very complicated to mod her, but if you mean having it look good on the specific shape of your shep, I guess I was lucky! It is true hw much it changed from Kyla's face... I can barely recognise her. The hair might be the major culprit thought, I should try to mod her back to see what happen :P

That's the thing. I usually scroll by because If I'm visiting the thread to take a quick look and intend to spend five minutes, I won't read fanfic at all, I'll scroll past any wall of text. Of course, since there's no way for me to bookmark the fanfic, I never get back to it because the thread moves too fast, so your chances of getting me (or other people) reading and commenting on your fanfic are lesser.

However, when I consiously click on a link that would lead me to a blog/page/ffnet that leads to a fanfic, I'm consiously making the decision that I WILL sit down and read, and I can always bookmark it and read later if I don't have the time. Plus, some of the fanfics posted here are genuinely interesting, and I'd like to read them, but more often than not, I would miss a part or two, and I want to go back and read them but I can't figure out where to find them since they're posted in the thread, and there's no way I'll go through page by page just to read it.
