@Sinapus: Cowboy Bebop is a good source of inspiration for a name:devil:

@VaLkyR_Anubis: After I finally played Renegade style I could never go back to my Paragon shep.  Thank you again!=]

Shep has a lot of emotional baggage and it's interesting to see how she reacts through your 'eyes'. She looks very...reflective in that pic.

@raziel1980:   I love Gabriella's intense expression in the last pic.

@LadyAly: Thank you!

The last pic of Chiara running is awesome and the one before outlines her face to look absolutely stunning.

@Audience: Yep, most of my sheps have a similar look even though I try to change their features up a bit. All of my sheps but one have the same nose and something about their bone structure in general always look similar. I used to give them all really thin lips too before I fleshed them out a little in ME3.

@Tup3xi: Love the matching camo suits <3

@f1r3storm: Very cool posing and background

@LennethValkyrie: Wow, Elaine looks just like how I would imagine EDI as if she were human. The cybernetic eyes are very cool.

Mercy found Tali wallowing in self pity at the thought of Miranda defying her father and she was tempted to slap the quarian to knock her out of her stupor. Miranda might have broken from her father's shadow but she had paid a hefty price, she was dead.

Tali: "Keelah, she was such a bosh'tet."

Mercy: "Ahhh."

Tali: "Don't 'ahh' me. You sound like a Vorcha."
Image IPB

I'm picking my way through Jane's playthrough while I stall finishing Mercy's. I just recruited Liara and did a couple side missions. I finally found a texmod that makes her look more like her ME3 counterpart but I wish the makeup wasn't so intense. It makes the scar harder to see and, well, too much makeup!

Nothing major, but I noticed between me and my friend that I always give my Sheps full faces, whereas my friend gives them gaunt faces. =)

Hahaha, totally. All my Shepards tend to have very sharp features and strong bone structure (i.e. not super full or youthful faces). I mean, look at my two main Shepards, Anja and Naomi. Cheekbones for miiiiiiiiiles on both of them hah. Also full lips.

There's not a whole lot of variation possible while also keeping proportion, imo. so yeah. Also, i tend to try to make characters that look 'pretty but not beautiful'/'attractive but not gorgeous', which always puts me in a particular spot. I want to give them slightly irregular features, so they don't look like perfect little dolls, but to do that make them look human, and not deformed is tricky. i dunno. i think they have a similar 'look' to them, but maybe that's me:

Image IPB

Nora (face 9, eye 3, flat-out crazy renegade)

Image IPB

Lily (face 6, eye 2, cold, efficient renegon)

Image IPB

Roberta (face 8, eye 7, purer-than-snow paragon)

Image IPB

Jen (face 4, eye 9, 90% paragon)

Image IPB

Christine (face 5, eye 6, in-the-middle neutral military tactician)

Image IPB

and the only one I actually play: Kyrie.

I think I tend to favor really high, pronounced cheekbones and thin lips. they sort of have a smiliar underlying proportional structure, i think. maybe that's because when my eye sees a certain configuration of features, i think 'that's right' and stop there, even if the features themselves are sharper or differently shaped.

Image IPB

hmm... interesting experiment, anyhow.

Thank You very much

@LadyAly : Thanks as well...sometimes I have great timing with my screenshots. :D Btw... AWESOME pics of Chiara as always!

@Audience...believe it or not...No, I'm not...atleast not in ME 1...that is the pure power of my lap top working there. :) I did use the ENB mod for ME 3 for alot of my screenshots with that game however. Btw... I don't know if I mentioned how much I adore Rosalie(her ME 2 n 3 appearances are spectacular!) and Olivia is just cute as a button, let me tell ya!

Also, to answer your question...I do find myself using the same eyebrow type...the ones with arc in them and I also find I prefer thicker lips on my ladies...that's probadly my one concern with Denise's design...that her lips aren't pouty enough...

Also @Audience : nice job on the facial structure sheps you have made. :D

@Tup3xi : thanks :D. You already know how I feel about Tiia. :)

@akari: Athalya looks AWESOME!  I can't wait to see how her story develops and how she imports into ME 3! :D

@Saturn : i agree with yuo about Virmire....I think virmire is basically put into ME 1 to harden our Shepards' resolve of the situation and what will happen as it is a far that she is fighting and sometimes you have to make sacrifices for the greater good...you will see what I mean with the pic update.

@f1r3: LOVE all the artworks and models you've made of Jolene...I would actually love to see femshep get a version of Ashley n Liara's 'from ashes' armor...as well as Kaidan n James' alliance soldier type armors as dlc in ME 3!

@LennethValkryie : welcome to the thread! :D Elaine is gorgeous...nice job of implementing TIF's( or TIM's if you prefer) eyes into her design!

@razviolet: Thanks...loving the shots of your Jane Shepard as well. I think ELE did make a lighter version of the default femshep freckles n makeup mod for ME 1. Actually, I'll be using that on Claire throughout the trilogy.

@sagequeen : what I can say...other you my dear have some serious talent with character creators( as well as writing AWESOME fanfics).

It's now time to post pics of the finale of Gabriella Shepard's ME 1 run... sorry, it took awhile to post...I just got Fallout: New Vegas today and I was installing it on my pc as well as checking out all of the awesome mods available for the game...

Ilos...speaking with Vigil( maybe the single best scene and set of dialog in the game...possibly the series).

I don't know if I'm going import her into Mass Effect 2 yet...as I wanna get started and focus a little on Claire's ME 1 playthrough... :D

@Sinapus Ah I see - I have not much experience with Manga - not a huge fan of it. But Edward is a badass beauty - no doubt
@Audience  Thanks :) I agree heartily with the Jacob thing - at the start of ME2 he is boasting his biotic Power like *tell me when I should hit them with the good stuff* and in ME3 he has lost the abilties ?? Maybe drugs :P
The shot of Olivia in ME2 is very nice - love the dress
And your collection of Sheards is amazing
Your question about similarity is pretty interesting - but I think I could avoid to use the same features again and again
I like to experiment. Still some things are define beauty for me - can't name it, though
Example:
Reyna, Mel, Carry and Judy in ME2

Image IPB
@Tup3xi Yep she can look very badass sometimes ;)
But Tiia can too - nice shots. You altered th FOV per hand ?

@SebAusFR I agree with you - its very annoying to have awesome looking weapons if they are not show up in some scenes.

@Akari Tenshi
You have a good hand for outstanding faces - Athalya is gorgeous
@Saturn Ring :D YES !

@jil84 Beautiful draw <3

@f1r3storm  You got the pose - excellent work

@LennethValkyrie  Elaine is stunning - especially the soft light on Rannoch let her shine
@razviolet  Thanks and yes - like it, too
*Don't *ahhh* me* - is one of the cutest sentence Tali had - I was break out in a heavy giggle the first time

@sagequeen Well there is a clear similarity - especially between 1/2 and Kyrie. - but honestly - they are all Beauty's - I could dig Christine with her stern gaze.
@raziel1980 Thanks - and I just stare on another Tab on DAT Victory smile  so cute on Gabby

Bah Post is already a bit long - so only 2 random pics of Chiara's playthrough this time

Right, indeed? And I don't understand why they couldn't do it. In some scenes you still have one of your actual weapons, but why not in others. Some are pre-calculated but if they can account for your armour and its customisation, why not the weapons? The only problem I could see is that if the scenes have Shep firing and she doesn't have the appropriate type of weapon on her (like if you are an infiltrator and scene is played out with an assault rifle). If they did not implement dynamic weapons just for that reason, that's being lazy... :bandit:

Ah, random picture too. Someone said the lightning on Rannoch is good, I assume it is for the Reaper mission. But it is also good when you go save the admiral... At least, I think it is ^_^

I didn't actually notice until it was pointed out lol.. the hairstyle and color match.. xd minus the red eyes ahah..
aAt first I wanted to make a Shepard that looked like.. me but since I kind of failed I left her this way..

@razviolet ^^ it's not like I'm such a fan of TIM.. but I felt like when Shepard had undergone project lazarus in ME2 her eyes would probably have been replaced by cybernetic prosthesis so I made them look as such.. regenerating eyes sounds strange.. it is also thanks to project lazarus that her hair changed to bluish grey while they originally were dark blonde in her background story..

@raziel1980 Oh it wasn't that difficult eheh..

@LadyAly Thanks..! and lol.. Joker looks frightened there by Chiara's death glare.. xd

I try really hard not to select features similar to those of my other Sheps. Although I am not an artist by any means (I wish I was as talented as all of you here!), I do look at faces as a direct result of these games. I have been trying to incorporate what I see into the CC, but it's limited. Sometimes I think the similarities we see between our Sheps is simply the limited textures, facial traits and fixed features like hairlines. Our Sheps are bound to look related. I applaud everyone here who can make their Sheps look so beautiful and individual.

I have many faces but I looked specifically at the three Sheps I've carried through to the end of ME3. I think they look individual, but I can see some similarities in them. Lida and Evie share the same eyebrows and Asche and Lida share the same jaw line for instance. These comparisons use only two texmod textures... ELEeyes and shorter lashes, so Asche who normally appears wearing default Femshep texture and Lida, who wears the Devon texture, are completely w/o make up. :D

I still think Shep should have been given a third choice to save both. The consequence of a third choice being a setback in catching up with Saren. Or maybe a second and very lethal confrontation with Wrex. I always thought the one or the other choice forced on us was bull puckey. There's always another way after all.

You're making a good point. Overall i think the idea of a choice works as long as we can feel the weight of consequences attached to it. I always thought Arrival was the perfect opportunity to experience that; if only destroying the relay/batarian colony was an actual choice.
The thing that bothers me a little is that too many "good" decisions follow the paragon path; while i think making a tough but necessary call, often means being somewhat renegade.

Edit: Damaging your relationship(with an LI or friend) to successfully complete a mission - that is more or less what i had in mind. ME3 has a lot of those moment; unfortunately, there's always a way to work around that and save both mission and friendship/relationship - EXcept Mordin/ i thought it was masterfully done.

Blegh! I wanted to be done with both the next chapter of Ayla's Story and the beginning of Julia's Story a few days ago, but the words just won't come out. It's quite warm at the moment where I live, perhaps that is the reason. It seems warmth and my ability to concentrate are inversely proportional to each other.

Oh well. Gives me time to respond to some other replies posted in the last twenty-four or so hours.

I think what really sets my FemSheps apart is their haircuts, as their faces are often only subtly different. I have that with every game that lets you design your own character -- when I have found a mix of settings that look good, I stick to that whether I like it or not. What I mean with that is: Sometimes I want to experiment, but when I see the result ingame I quickly think "ugh, that looks like ****, let's just use my favorite design and be done with it".

That said, I did experiment a bit with Ayla and Julia. Both use face shape 5 (instead of the usual 7) and Julia sports nose shape A (instead of the widely popular 6). Julia also has a different set of eyes to allude to her Asian ancestry. That said, they both have the heart-shaped face that I like so much, combined with strong eyebrows and a mouth with relatively full lips. Those three elements are a given when I create a new character.

I've learned to live with it by now (I believe Berlitz once called it her "trusty magical Avenger") but that annoyed me to no end in the beginning. I wonder why they did that. Was it because of technological limitations or just because it was easier to program?

Well, at least it doesn't show up in every cutscene, so we still have the chance to admire our Shepards when they are holding a Revenant or Black Widow in their hands.

Haha! I always have to laugh when Liara does that. I can't really explain it, I guess it just because it kinda breaks the tension of the whole scene. Kaidan/Ashley almosy murdered, dramatic music, flying away from Mars when the Reapers land, silence in the med bay and then, suddenly, a close up of Liara reminding you of the fact that the VS isn't doing very well. It's narmy, but in a good way. :P

I agree. The choices in this game don't really seem to have a moral weight (to me, at least) other then building up your influence/EMS. I do understand that creating many narrative paths will become unwieldy, but what they could have done is have more choices like one in Zaeed's loyalty quest (either save the workers or get Zaeed's loyalty and hear all of the screams).
