Jane lost Kaidan, confronted Sovereign and Saren on Virmire, and was put off at the knowledge that Saren's ship was an actual reaper.

"You touch my mind, fumbling in ignorance."
Unbeknownst to Jane, who belligerently argued with the sentient machine, she really was ignorant to what the reaper's were. Though, to her credit, Sovereign didn't attempt rectify her stupidity. He instead chose to hurl insults and have a hissy fit, shattering the room's windows after being forced to communicate with a primitive organic.

Edit: What is that planet in the background? I know it comes up for Earth Born sheps, but it looks nothing like Earth. It even has a weird rip at the top like a meteor had just gouged out a section as it whizzed by

And now she is in ME2, the newly resurrected dead. The red cheeks bother me and I want to tone them down but there isn't a face code for ME1 imports, . I guess I'll just have to wait until ME3 to tweak her to perfection. I'm also tempted to change her hair to brown because whenever I envision Shepard, she has dark brown hair.  *But I know it won't happen*


It's green! I hope this mod transfers into ME3. I keep changing the tech armor color<3

You know how it is: Queen B. aka former Cerberus scientist did indoctrinate him. That why he's been acting totally out of character. There's no way she can compete with Shepard. Whatever Reaper artifact she was working on, she generously applied some on Jacob.The poor guy probably sees her everytime he closes his eyes.

 
Oh well. I guess I can see how it goes so I can get truly angry at the writers for ME3 regarding this.

One thing I'm finding interesting when I write up the entries in her diary is when (or if) she starts referring to people by their first names, rather than their surnames. For Wrex it was easy, because "Wrex" sounds a lot more like a name to her than "Urdnot" does (and since Joker all but refuses to answer to anything else it fit him more than "Moreau" would have). But, even though it's been several years since Vermire, Hannah still feels more comfortable keeping others at a distance in order to protect herself and her feelings.

Ed isn't all that comfortable in a LBD. She had trouble enough with shoes when she stopped hanging around with those bounty hunters.

Ah, it is always a great pleasure to take a look at this thread, in my opinion. You guys make a fabulous job at keeping it alive and entertaining!


Entering the geth mind. Cass never thought this would be possible, getting to know, how geth think and decide and how their mind does look like. Most people just considered geth as a threat, but Cass tried to make and get her own opinion about them, because truth doesn't get told that often. Nevertheless, seeing the geth mind was a refreshing and interesting experience to Cass and she also learned the truth about the Morning War and how everything started, in case of quarians and geth. In the end, she knew, there is still a lot of hard work to do!


This is and was always a great dream to every qurian, taking back their home world, Rannoch. Tali and Cass enjoyed this beautiful moment together and both knew the path would end soon, one way or another, it ends today. Tali just got ideas about her house and deco, but she wasn't that sure about it. But Cass told her, that size of something doesn't matter, it is the value and as long as we keep believing in us and the things we are fighting for, we can get it done.

What origin and background did you go with for your Shep, out of curiosity? It's interesting to see how people will take the generalities we're given and then fill in the blanks in their own way.

Thanks for the welcomes, and the nice compliments for Kacey.    The mediocre fanfic writer in me felt compelled at one point to sit down and sketch out her pre-ME1 bio and post-ME3 epilogue, so I'm looking forward to sharing those, too (and more screencaps).  But in the meantime, here are a couple of comparisons showing how she transitioned to ME3.  I'm still not even sure how I made it thru a whole playthru with the original import.  Caps don't do it justice--seeing her animated, she looked more like a bad caricature than an actual person.  I learned how to mod XBox saves just to try to do something about it.




Biggest issues were obviously the eyes and mouth.  The original import eyes were completely the wrong shape.  Lazarus fixed the shape, but made her a little too squinty, so I need to pull her lower lids down a tiny bit and open her eyes back up a little more.

Lazarus totally fixed the mouth shape, but the lip color, already a bit 'off' on the import, is even worse now.  (It's ME1/2's shade #1, to try to give her a natural 'no lipstick' look.)  It needs to be a little more pink, but I'm not really sure how to fix that.  I tweak the scalars upward, her lips just start turning black.

Her skin and eye color need tweaking, too.  Her post-Lazarus skin isn't as horribly sickly as it looks in the squad screen, or as healthy-looking as it appears there in the sunlight of Eden Prime.  And even tho she has ME1/2 hair color #2, which I think is a blondish-brown, I've always thought that in-game it had more red in it than blonde.  Post-Lazarus it looks like a dirty blonde, so I'd like to shift that a little more towards red if possible.

Eyebrows are probably still a touch too dark, too.

And in that second shot, you can see in the post-Lazarus pic that there's a spot above and behind her right temple where her skull clips thru her hair (cuz of the ME3 head being smaller than ME2).  That actually occurs on top of her head, too, as well as the left side and in back, in the area between her ears when she turns and moves her head certain ways.  So first I have to figure out what vertices are affected, and then see if I can fix 'em.  <_<

Lot of trouble in correcting something that's just caused by "improved lighting and shaders", huh?

This is one of the parts that I am going to do some heavy rewriting of the plot on when I get to writing up the events of Me3 leading up to Threnody.

Glad you liked the diary - I'm hoping to get some installments done where we see the scenes that happen, rather than only reading the parts Hannah decides to record in her diary, but the muse hasn't cooperated with me on those yet.

Ah sorry for my crap english - the question was more about the emotions/feelings towards KL.
I mean he killed Thane - but his heroic death was strangely like a *good* thing for Thane. She had no time to think about a single assassin. But after Thessia and his mail she hated him with a passion beyond all she felt before.

@draken-heart: Jack teases Shepard if she's romancing Garrus and brings him to Grism, but yeah, it would be nice for there to be more dialogue about it. Say, passive teasing during missions or your romance character flirting with you. The battle field isn't really the time or place, but it would help lighten the mood.

@Dragon_Claw: Definitely, all my sheps have a bromance with Wrex as well. How can you not love that Krogan?

I haven't been around much. Too busy with work and other things to really do much more than play a few matches of mp. I have been reading this thread but haven't commented much. Sorry about that. I have been enjoying the conversation and the lovely Sheps. I hope to single a few folks out later tonight. We'll see. Just know you all make some mighty fine art, do some mighty fine writing and play some mighty fine Mass Effect.

I was messing around with the CC last night. Mostly trying to find motivation to play. So I decided to redo my sentinel Jennifer. She was one that the ME3 transfer was not kind to. Not sure if I'm going to stick with this face or not, but I liked it last night. Still do this morning.

Jenny, spacer, sole survivor, paragon is sticking with Garrus, but she meets Kaidan first. Good friends reunite and make up. That third shot is me experimenting with the VI hair + Miranda. There was too much clipping for me to let it continue.


I don't know why. Even though you can't see their faces, there's something about this shot that appeals to me.

@LadyAly: Deirdre is pronounced deerdra - i think . She will hate K.L. with passion - when i take her through ME3. More so because it was such a cheap shot how Thane got injured/killed. It will be a headache to rp how a 4 on 1 fight turned to K. leng advantage. Not to underestimate him; as a former N7 operator he of all poeple knows how Shepard approaches combat.

@Jamie: Femshep has landed on Mars - that speaks to me as a space exploration dreamer. And it is happening now.

@VaLkyR_Anubis: I can only imagine how advanced would the Quarians be if not for the morning war. Their civilization would be at the apex of organic/synthetic evolution and rival Asaris. One thing bothers me during that mission though: Quarians in it aren't supposed to be wearing their suits. The need for those came later. Unless i'm missing something.

@Ashoken: i agree for the last shot: for me it is symbolic of how they have each other's back and how their life/future are forever linked.

In ME2 Jane had one biotic skill. She was a potential biotic. I mean she used her powers only once to defend herself from a drunk man. That happened when she was a kid. In ME2 Cerberus gave her that opportunity.


In ME3 she doesn't use that gift from Cerberus anymore.

I was thinking more along the the lines on-ship dialogue, but the battlefield would be funnier.
