I think the whole point of the child is to show how fragile life is. We have seen pictures of a male Shepard reaching for the little boy to help him. This is the same boy we see playing with a toy ship earlier on. The same would go for the female Shepard I assume. We would see an innocent young girl playing with a toy star ship. Left alone, she could become the next great hero of the Alliance. Shepard is meant to see herself in this child. Perhaps maybe even wish she could be that young and innocent again. I imagine that this would be even more so for the Colonist backgrounds.

Well, if that trailer is the FemShep trailer and twitter dude said to look out for it on the 14th... Silverman said the FemShep trailer would be released "sooner" than the demo. IDK. Hm.

True, but if he was at the event they held they might have told press people the date? Not that he can't be wrong or Silverman is misleading (since he has a tendency to be, bleh). But I wouldn't count him off as completely not-credible either... We'll see!

I do have a single femShep, but she is for Ashley though that is unlikely. She may go w/ *spoiler* though.  I am tempted to have UJ make a play for the reporter just to see what may happen. Perhaps Liara will have to get a shorter leash.

True. The femshep trailer was originally said to be coming out in late summer, then was pushed back to definitely  the end of the year.  So ...

Well they did have to deal with an early script being released. I'm sure that wasn't part of the plan so a 2 minute trailer oculd be pushed back to put out fires and make some additional changes with the focus of making the game gold still holding up. hell it took Ais two months to make her demo reel and she's like the goddess if videos.

I liked the gorilla walk/limp both Shepards have in ME2. I ascribe it to cybernetics and Shep hurting at times from the implants and/or prosthetics. What I didn't like, and most agree on that, was the clipping during cutscenes for femShep (and I think it jarred me even more as I play both manShep and femShep).

I don't really mind the breast-armor either. Kinda makes me think of moulded Greek or Roman breastplates with fake six packs in the stomach area, along with the fake sculpted man-breasts. Nothing says that form has to follow function when you're dealing with mass effect fields, nano-tech and goodness knows what futuristic compounds is availible in the 22nd century.

Also, recently, alignment was once again discussed. As I mentioned before (perhaps in the old thread), Kassia surprised me by not following the path I had set her up to follow (she was supposed to be exactly like my earlier playthrough, just with a few cosmetic tweaks and a name change). However, she ended up like this:


I'm also happy with her build and she will apparently import with exactly that level and skills if she remains an Infiltrator in ME3. Not that I think there won't be a respec tool built into the game like there was in ME2, so it might not matter much anyway.

And now I probably should go climb back into bed... My wife's in Ethiopia for a fortnight, and I have to do double parent duty. Can't really do that if I get any worse.
