NG means New Game. NG+ means New Game using a save where you've finished the game so you get some bonuses. Plus!

Edit: OMG Top Shep!

Jenny: I smell Krogan.

Haha. Tup and I must've posted at the same time.

They changed the way the friend's list is displayed. There's a button at the top right next to your user name to click to see it. Took me a moment to find it. Otherwise, I haven't had any trouble.

That's not a problem I have. ;) It shows zero and when I open friends list it tries to load forever.

EDIT:
Now it suddenly started to work... Except some friends are magically missing. Dafuq is this ****!

She's Rachel Shepard, my first attempt at playing an Adept (NG+ here).

Oooo. I like her!

^_^ Since you like her, here's a picture of her shamelessly flirting with Liara in the Archives (yup, I modded the save to have had Liara has her LI in the past).

Someone wrote that the lightning in the intro was not very good (I think it was sagequeen?) and now that I paid closer attention, I have to agree. The improvement when you reach Mars is considerable. Like here...

@SebAusFR: it is just so annoying from Shepard perspective to be second guessed. Objectively it makes sense to expect something along the lines of a Xanatos Gambit from TIM. Virmire survivor could be pretty much playing russian roulette by trusting Shepard.

Indeed. Actually, many people are perhaps too trusting when it comes to Shepard after she was revived by Cerberus. We know she's clean, but in-universe characters cannot, so the VS interrogations are well-placed. Especially when Shep and Cerberus are always crossing paths... Like on Mars, on during the coup.  I'm actually surprised TIM hasn't a Xanatos Gambit running in the game. He's the perfect villain for this type of plans. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie]

I would also have liked to see how her familly (if any remaining) react to the whole "rebuilt from dead" thing. It would be easy to argue that ME2-3 FemShep is not ME1 FemShep but a "copy".

The bonus are sweet... You are some sort of god of war in the intro and Mars in a NG+ if you play on normal difficulty. That was too easy so I switched to hardcore. Not in the mood of trying insanity :o

It still isn't really... about half of my friends are missing and the number seems to change a bit each time I log in. Now it's one less than last time.

This is the reason i'm somewhat disappointed with TIM's character treatment in ME3. I thought indoctrination was the easy way out.
I can understand why he would'nt have some kind of safe guard against Shepard though: i guess in my head "restraining" her would just be like having another Kai Leng at his disposal ( assuming that KL doesn't possess free will) - and TIM needed something more than just an assassin. Although a programmed Shepard slowly recovering her senses and freedom is an attractive idea too. Or even a clone.

I agree. I found TIM went from the anti-mentor (like magneto!) to stock badguy in five seconds flat in ME3. It was really sad to me, since he was such an AMAZING villian/or-is-he-really-a-villian before.

I also agree about the VS. much as I love all the other squaddies and their loyalty was touching, the VS's response was the only one that actually made much sense to me. i think it's a pity that there were not more people in the middling reaction to shepard. everyone else is like 'it's you and you're awesome!' the council is like 'it's you and we don't like you much' and only the VS is like...'uh, is that you?' as a result, they come off as mean or something, but really, i think they're just being realistic.

Exactely! Weird how those feedbacks also affect how we(Shepard) stand on certain issues.

I thought the ‘change’ was extremely fitting. Any means necessary sounds like a great idea (I guess?) until you pick the wrong means. If you play with fire etc. TIM’s indoctrination is consistently foreshadowed; it’d have wasted that entire storyline, too.

I guess it just left me somewhat confused as to when/how it happened. It seems to happen pretty suddenly in the game. I would have liked to have known more about it.

On TIM - One might see indoctrination as the easy way out and that's a valid point, but looking back, it was inevitable. On Thessia, TIM tells Shepard that, "I've been fighting the Reapers longer than you can imagine." This is probably a good indication that TIM's been fighting indoctrination for years. In ME1, the Reapers forced Saren to do their bidding, making promises if he would work w/ them. In ME: Retribution, thanks to TIM hooking up Paul Grayson to Reaper tech, the Reapers learn from their mistakes w/ Saren. They trick Grayson into accepting their thoughts as his own and thus he isn't even aware that he is working for them. I think the same thing happens to TIM in ME3. The Reapers use TIM's ego and arrogance against him, making him think he can control them. Again, this is pointed out before on Thessia.  A splinter group of Protheans wanted to dominate the Reapers, yet it was later found out they were indoctrinated.  So, yeah, I can understand the disappointment of TIM's character (and they could have handled it better even so) but he was doomed to be indoctrinated the moment he got blasted w/ Reaper tech so long ago.

And on topic ...

Using bits from Sage's guide, I started over w/ UJ. I originally made her lips too thick when I first modded her. Now she looks better than ever!

Sadly, she has none. My brother isn't too keen on RP. He even left her name as Jane, and her background is Spacer/War Hero.

@Ashoken- I really like Jenny! Usually not a fan of dark lipstick with red hair, but she rocks it.

@SebAusFR- Wowwww, I love Rachel. Her chin and jawline, her nose, her eyebrows... great combo *u*

Hey now, ain’t nothing wrong with spacer/war hero! :) I know you didn’t mean it quite like that, but there’s an undercurrent especially in the fic world that you ‘must’ use the other backgrounds because of supposed additional drama/angst/whatever.

It made sense, but it bothered me how often they felt the need to voice it.  "I don't know who you're working for," "I don't know if I can trust you," "For all I knew Cerberus turned you into a husk," etc.  I can understand them feeling that way, but I wish they'd kept it to themself--I think Shepard had earned at least the illusion of trust by that point (especially if she/he is in a relationship with the VS).  Watch Shepard closely, sure, and be ready to act if she/he does something seriously questionable/OOC, but until then just lay off a bit, wouldya?  Like Shepard doesn't already have enough things to be worrying about.  (But obviously, while that would work in a novel where you could get into their head and know what they were thinking, I guess that silent wariness is a lot harder to get across in a VG.  Too bad--speaking their mind really doesn't do anything to make me like them better.)

@SaturnRing, LadyAly, & Ashoken: Thanks.  It was fun digging into Shepard's canonical history(/histories), and trying to tailor a unique backstory for Kacey around it.  I'm a fabulously mediocre fanfic writer, but I try my best and have fun with it.

Answering my own question about Traynor: Liara's been around humans enough now to spot the signs (ironically, Kacey herself is completely clueless).  On the one hand Liara trusts Shepard and believes what they have is special, but on the other their relationship has already had enough weird fits and starts that she still doesn't feel super secure in it yet.  She thinks she's picked up on a little something between Traynor and Allers, so she's tried to find subtle ways of getting them to work together on various things.  Who knows--maybe they're perfect for each other?  (And if Liara was involved with broshep, she might do the same with Cortez and Vega. )

I like Traynor well enough, but I can't imagine ever having a Shepard that romances her.  For several reasons, but the biggest one being the ridiculous way you have to trigger the relationship...

More Thoughts on Modding

And now I feel like I can finally say that Kyrie is 'the same' Shepard through all 3 games.

Thanks for this, Sage. I'm going to try this with Maria. I did do the eyelid tweaking to fix the clipping some time ago, but I'm afraid I messed up something else doing that. There's something just not quite "right" about her, I can't put my finger on it. The good thing is, anything that works on Maria will work on Kendra since they share the same face. I'll be sure to post my results here.

Oh, and Kyrie looks amazing now. I followed your progress here and on twitter since the game released and I do believe you have finally captured her definitive look.

I tried that normal map switch on Anja awhile back, and I wound up only using the norm02 stack and the third scalp one because I really didn't like the way the main one looked on her.

But after seeing all these Shepards looking gorgeous with it, I decided to give it another go, but, unfortunately, it's still just... not right on her. It just changes the shape of her mouth too much, since it adds the slight wrinkles to the lips (which look great on pretty much every other Shepard, it seems, but for some reason look really off on Anja). Ah well.
