Now, if I can stop procrastinating I might actually get Garrus on Ed's team...

I actually take time to make sure that he is ready and able. Everytime.

@Tup: i wish i could help you with that - when it comes to make up i tend to agree more or less with ELE: very light or not at all most of the time, with the possibility to go heavier on certain occasions(dates; formal/informal meetings). I think we should be able to change hair or make up at any point in the game. To fit any context. Though in your case it's more a question of correcting shortcomings. If you think Vega can handle it...great shots of Tiia.
Which one is the demolisher amor btw?

I'll stick with the lighter version, I think it does the job just fine and looks pretty practical, and thanks!

This is the armour.

I tried Sagequeen complexion modding, and here is the result:
Image IPB

I do not see that much difference, but overall the skin looks slightly less smooth. It could also be that the lightning on the citadel is too "strong". The eyes appears slighty deeper, and there's something going on around the nostrils...

Huh... yeah.... that's weird.

Okay, I'm just going to point out that the FIRST time I tried that modding hack, it TOTALLY didn't work. but then it did the second time. I'm trying to remember what i did differently. I *think* I failed to add in the additional mask field - like, I only replaced the normal mapping and not any of the other stuff. that didn't work. I really had to replace ALL the relevant fields and put in the additional normal mask .... oh, and I bumped up the HED_SPwr_Scalar <--- that reacted a lot better to the new normal than it did to the old normal.

But hey, it may not work for everyone. I just know of the Shepards I've seen it often can make a difference. but it's not like i've tested it on...anyone but kyrie.

I got a question for everyone (myself included): why would our femsheps be wearing makeup?

Because in the future, it's easier to appy it:

Image IPB

Also, because without makeup in ME1 and ME2, the eyelashes stick out at weird angles to the lid - they're sticking straight out of the lid at an angle, not from the bottom of the lid like actual eyelashes do. If you have a pale-skinned shep, this is especially noticeable. if you have a blonde shep, it just looks freakish, also because the lashes are BLACK and they look too full to be normal. to conceal the weird black lashes sticking out at the weird angle, you have to at least us eye makeup 7 (the default, just a thin line of eyeliner) to hide the 'seam' between the lash and the lid. frankly, bumping up the makeup looks even better, though it may not be realistic.

^ that, imo, is the real reason why. me, i wear as little makeup as i can possibly get away with (meaning my femshep...though actually, that's true of me irl, too), but i felt i had to put some on just so she looked natural. funny thing, that.

There's what? Already 1000+ story variables they took into account (according to CHud at least.) I think they kind of painted themselves into a corner with how many ways things can be achieved in the previous games. Miranda's alive? Well you must have done her loyalty mission!

I am reminded of a line from the documentaries for the LOTR DVDs (why yes, i watched them all....three times...why do you ask?)

viggo mortenson points out that in Return of the King, Tolkien said of the book that he'd incurred such huge 'narrative debts' that he had to make everything a LOT more complicated before he could clean it up.

Frankly, I think Mass Effect did the same - incurred MASSIVE narrative debts - in the 2 previous games. Sadly, I do not think they paid their debts, and instead tried to get out of a lot of their self-imposed complications. Some of the sequences are amazing - just as they should be, imo. The VS stuff is a bit off in terms of pacing, but it's DAMN good stuff. Rannoch, Tuchanka - brilliant. But there are a LOT of other things (Thane *cough*, Jacob *cough*, the END *cough*) that were so hurried that it's just a crying shame.

So i've probably convinced myself to give Leviathan a shot. It's managed to peak my interest enough to continue with the slowest playthrough of all time. So today i did the Turian Platoon side mission and i just love that mission despite it being so very short. Victus Jr might've screwed up badly and Sarah might give him a hard time for it but damn do the guy got a spine!

Image IPB
It sure help that Tuchanka got its destroyed enviroment to add to the feeling that it's a war we're talking about.

Image IPB
If Sarah or any Shepard for that matter gave me this stare i would die there right on the spot out of sheer terror.

Image IPB
Talking with Hackett is always awesome but whenever Samantha tell that Anderson is on the line it's special. Not only because of how awesome he's but also that he's the closest damn thing Sarah got to a family in this screwed up galaxy.

This is one thing I never understood.  In DA2 you can get that mirror thing in the Black Emporium to change your look  but they couldn't give us something similar in ME?  Makes me sad.  :(

Edit: I wanted to share my first PC Shepard with you guys since I never have.  She is completely unmodded because I am just now getting brave enough to attempt simple things.  My original Shepard is on the Xbox and I have no pics of her to share.  :(

Yeah, if they do not split it in parts, there would be a pretty large change that one Shep would be stuck with using the helmet.

@Sage
At least Shepard has some eye lashes. It doesn't bother me at all.
Image IPB
They look okayish to me.

On the other hand male characters look really really weird because they seem to lack eye lashes and in real life they should be 10 longer (though, 0x10 equals zero... xD).

Oh and it's definitely time to start bombing bioware about the armour!

YESSSSS. WE NEED THIS!

Not sure if I'm going to bother with Leviathan, but I'd buy this in a heartbeat.

@Kaidan fan: Looks awesome! yay for modding.

and yes, i wanted a black-emporium-type-mirror-thingy for femshep also. of course.....i would have just stuck with the original facecode and modded everything in gibbed.

in fallout new vegas, one thing i LOVED was that they actually gave you RGB sliders in the CC for haircolor. i mean, bam, right there. pick a style, then make a color. they had presets, of course - ginger, auburn, champange blonde - awesome stuff. but then you could tweak it. i don't imagine it would be all that difficult to do that in the CC.

but then, i'm all for as MUCH customization to characters as is reasonably possible. ...and then probably stuff that ISN'T reasonably possible.  see, i'm still waiting for the game that lets me set athleticism of the body build and height and and and and and....

Well, since ME3 is no where near the most graphically advanced game and human faces do not look that realistic, I think that makeup tends to hide its short comings a bit. In ME1 and 2 eyes looks somehow creepy without eye liner and in ME3 there's something off about the eyes without any make up. At least in my Shepard's case.

Pretty much this. Without at least the eyeliner the eyes just don't look right.

But allow me to rail on people with the 'make-up is bad' mentality. Make-ups purpose is to enhance features and draw attention to the best part of your face. ei: complementary colors to bring out eye color, lip liner to make lips look fuller, brush to make skin look rosy and healthy. There is absolutely nothing wrong with anyone wearing makeup, no matter if its Commander Shepard or your average person. Because here is the thing, Commander Shepard IS an average person. An average person who did something extraordinarily with her life. She might or might not wear makeup. So yes all my Shepards wear one of the eyeshadows. I don't feel the blushs we were given go very well with the skintones. And half my Shepard wear the natural glossy lip shine.

Zody: Black eye shadow and natural lip gloss.
Image IPB

Dakota: Just black eye shadow.
Image IPB

Orra: Brown eyeliner modded to be black and natural lip gloss
Image IPB

Faye: Just black shadow like Dakota.
http://cloud-2.steam...9464BDB3C11E19/

That being say, there is also nothing wrong with Shepard not wearing make-up either. I just do it to enhance what my Shepards look like.

@raziel1980: Somehow I can just never get anyone to look that good with lipstick :crying:^_^…all my girls tend to have very light lips, and heavy eyes. Which obviously works terribly in ME3.

Thanks! Yeah.... I noticed you do have to go either light on both or heavy on both to get the right makeup mix in ME 3. Most of my femsheps get their makeup from texmods and such. In Natalia's case...her face is shown more or better since I'm using a HD facetext that ELE made. :)

@LadyAly : Thanks...she will probadly be the last of my new femsheps.

I usually lose Jacob in my runs through the suicide mission but that mostly because I dislike what Bioware did to him from a romanced perspective in ME 3( though I never romanced him). His whole attitude n personality just doesn't fit. Not to mention he does get a mention in a banter chat from Garrus after you complete that mission in ME 3.

@Tup: Thanks! Tiia with makeup looks HOT. I do prefer her with the lighter makeup build you have been using on her from the outset though.

@Sina: LOL...k, well, thanks for the follow. I'm following you as well. :)

@ELE : I think I want all the things you want as dlc in the game as well, with the exception of a mako 2.0. I just would rather not have to deal with that again. Also...Joanie looks as amazing as ever! and Teagan without makeup...quite nice...though since this is Teagan we are talking about that is NOT a surprise to me. <3

@SebAusFR : Yes, yes they did....though really it was collector's fault for killing Shepard and pissing her off even more!  Also : from what I can tell Kyla looks slightly darker and more lifelike in the second picture after you a little gibb modding.

@Saturn : that is why Jenkins is called canon-fodder. His part in the story is all of 5 minutes long.

@Rah: I've said once and I will say it again. I love the new freckle face Sarah...makes her look even cuter!

@Kaidan Fan: Hi and welcome to the thread. :D Nice femshep you have there...and this is now third Alison Shepard here.:) My Para-gade canon is named Allison and a Vanguard as well. Please post more of her!

For my final comment before I go back to playing Priority: Earth with Selena is.... I WANT the Demolisher MP armor in single player! I also want the N7 Shadow Armor in single player as well..why should only Liara n Ashley get to wear that armor( they got it with the release of From Ashes).

I bet dollars to donuts there will be a vehicle DLC at some point.

Anyway, I tried Sage's norm fix again and ran around to check it out in different lighting environments... and I think I might actually be sold on it after all, hahaha.

Here are the results:

Image IPB

Image IPB

And for comparison, here's a "before" shot:

Image IPB

edit: And RE: the makeup question, I think Anja wears make-up because she likes looking put-together and professional, but she tries to keep it subtle and classy (and also pretty low-maintanance, that's also why she keeps her hair short). I chose the reddish eyeshadow look in ME1 and carried it over to ME2 and 3 because I think it goes well with her hair color and complexion and also it's the same color as her blush, so I imagine she just has one of those color sticks that she just kinda smears on her eyes and her cheeks real quick every morning.

Naomi, on the other hand, cares more about her personal style. I'm kind of playing her as a Han Solo/Malcom Reynolds type character, i.e. she has a lot of bravado and flair, so wearing make-up makes sense for her. Also, her background in gangs when she was younger made her understand the power of her looks, and how to best use them. So, she wears dark eye make-up and some blush and lip balm.

Of course, the non RP reason is what others have said: eyes in ME1 and 2 especially just look downright WEIRD without any eye make-up on them.
