So you're punishing the queen for going into seclusion and then the reapers finding her secluded space and imprisoning her while they indoctrinated her children? Yikes, that's incredibly harsh.{smilie}sagequeen wrote...

I tend to let the queen go for better screenshot opportunities in ME 3 when I actually do decide to kill her off n keep Arlack Company as a war asset.

QFT.
I totally let her die in ME3, yeah. Here I'd agonized about the decision back in ME1 and then I was all like, "Dude. You got yourself huskified? <sigh> Sucks to be you."
As they say, "Get captured by forces bent on using you for destructive purposes once, shame on you; get captured by forces bent on using you for destructive purposes twice... eh, screw it. I'm saving my old friend Grunt instead."
Perhaps it's harsh. It's more a matter of not taking the time to save a single civilian (and her children, sure, but mostly 1 civilian) at the expense of an entire military squadron (of battle-hardened krogan, no less) when in the middle of a war. i find the soldiers more valuable than the queen.

Vega's like the ME3 version of Grunt. He's Sheps baby. Sometimes you gotta give the kid some tough love. Honestly, as much as James has grown on me as a character, I wish Shep could have had a Krogan on her squad.Tup3xi wrote...

^^He enjoyed it!?
There should have been an option to let the council decide. It would have established the Council as a force in the galaxy instead of them all looking like the ineffectual bereaucrats they were. All of my Sheps who have made it through ME1 let the Rachni queen go. None of them felt qualified to decide the fate of a species. It wasn't part of the mission parameters. Asche and Lida let the queen go in ME and ME3. Jenny didn't let the queen get away with it a second time. She couldn't be certain the queen wasn't indoctrinated. Paranoia determined the fate of the Rachni.sagequeen wrote...

Do other people feel the same way about that decision? I always end up
feeling like at the moment, it seems completely evil to kill her, but
when I leave, I instantly regret not doing it. Hrm... maybe that's just
me.

UJ lets the Queen go in ME1, but it's not an easy decision. Ultimately it comes down to the possibility for needing allies. The Queen's well being, while important, is secondary. The same goes for the Geth. Rewriting the Geth was the hardest decision she ever made outside of Virmire. Though she considered it unethical to rewrite them, the need for possible allies was greater. She even tells Legion she does not regret the choice, which surprises him. Though typically a Paragon, UJ doesn't always play it safe, though the "holier than thou" chip on her shoulder doesn't help.
In ME3, UJ lets the Queen go w/out hesitation. She needs allies and she has to take the risk.
"Risk is our business."

@Sinapus, the only one who doesn't seem to leer at Shep's "funny bumps" is Wrex. I was going through shots from Asche's ME game the other day and he was definately trying to look elsewhere.

@Ashoken EDI seemed to work
just fine. I'm doing something different this play through, previous ME
games I just stuck with a set squad and didn't change, this time I'm
actively rotating crew members in and out.

Kayleigh is playing it fast and loose. She isn't messing around. I like that. Though i know her past plays a role in it, is she renegade/renegon by necessity or is this just the way she gets things done? Does she struggle with what happened to her (while growing up), or did she make peace with it?
For my Deirdre it is by necessity most of the time; she does get pissed off sometimes and let loose here and there.
Awesome conclusion to Chiara run...will miss her
