I also didn't bring EDI. I used had Vega+Liara and Vega was by far the most talkative person in squad. Liara was the one who dragged Shepard into the shuttle in my case.

Aye, I don't know exactly how much was different since I haven't played with non-LI squaddies but I did have dialogue where Kaidan told Z. Shepard that: "You scare the hell out of me with those risky stuns, Shepard. But I guess that is part of what I love about you." Going to go out on a limb and say he doesn't say that to everyone.

@meonlyred, you analysis of Leviathan is exactly what I would have said. From the Abyss feeling right down to Kaidan saving Shep's butt for once. I LOVED that part, even when it should have been Garrus (in Jenny's case). But Jenny didn't mind. She hit that once after all.

Hmm... Probably. I just realized that I don't really remember anything special about the squad banter (or conversation in general between squad mates ). I have a feeling that James said something similar expect the love you part but meh, my mind can play tricks.

Leviathan

The first time I played Leviathan I was not really impressed at all, so to be fair I replayed it w/ my renegade, Erica, then the rest of my imported femsheps including a second run w/ UJ. Now firmly eating my share of crow, I must admit I did like it. It was enjoyable, though it had many faults. I still feel like it was rushed in the pacing. Having squadmates talk and doing three levels including the Citadel section was probably a bit much for just 2 gigs. I appreciate the work that went into making it, but I just wish it had been longer.

Squadmates talk for the first time in ME DLC, very cool indeed. And LIs get special dialogue provided they are Garrus, Kaidan, Ashley or Liara. I’m not sure if Steve received any alternate LI dialogue or not, but I was surprised that Traynor got nothing at all. All the dialogue is the same, w/ exception of LI specific back on the Normandy.

I liked the clues in the lab and all the ME1 nostalgia well enough, but my favorite scene was the in the lab w/ Dr. Ann Bryson, especially the interrogation of Leviathan through her. I cannot recall a single instance in all of ME3 where I could role play Shepard to that degree. I also liked how a lot of the DLC was Shepard-specific, especially the end. As others mentioned, it was nice to see Shepard getting saved for once. However, I never got the sense that Shepard was in any real life threatening danger. I felt there was something lost in translation between what is supposed to be going on and what is being shown. We get the bare bones amount of information and very little tone or texture to flesh out the story. And that gets back to the feeling of this DLC feeling rushed.

A few last comments on the positive side. The lighting was great, as was the music. One thing that really caught my eye was that6 Shepard’s facial expressions change whenever she is hurt, which doesn’t happen much in ME3. That is one bit of texture I’m glad they added.


Leviathan: Why should we fight the Reapers?
Shepard: Because I'm a badass and I asked so nicely.
Leviathan: Fine ... but we're not doing it because of you!
Shepard:Uh-huh.

Shepard: In "The Adyss" they showed the hero pictures.
Leviathan: Only in the "Director's Cut."
Shepard: You have an excuse for everything, don't you.

Corrected it for you (yeah, I'm anal retentive like that)  Also, from what I understand Steve does get LI special dialogue as well, but since I've never done his romance, I don't know what it's like.

Also, Ellen finally got her Raider shotgun.... she is quite pleased indeed. 
(plus she sees mild irony that she's using a batarian shotgun, considering she slaughtered them by the boatload at Torfan)

I guess Traynor didn't get dialogue because they only got the voice actors for the main crew to come back for this DLC (i.e. your actual squadmates). Chakwas and Joker didn't have any new dialogue either, for example. I guess Cortez is an exception because he does actually come on the missions?

I was seriously so happily surprised and pleased though when my squadmates first opened their mouths in the DLC. Just like WHOA AWESOME HEY GUYS

 As for her name, she shares the same name with another Shep here, so to avoid confusion I don't mention it hehe (are having duplicate names okay in this thread though, if so I might reveal it eventually)...Hope to see more Leviathan from your Shep, krayzi

@merylisk Anja looks mighty grumpy throughout Leviathan  Still pretty though~ Also about voice actors being absent, Dusty (from the Steve thread) said that some voice actors charge a lot more like Seth Green, and that's why they weren't around for Leviathan.

 Well now that the 'spoiler pic' ban has been lifeted it is now my turn to show some pics of Gabby in Leviathan. I will relate my feelings of it later...most likely after I finish her playthrough since Leviathan is beign played during her story. But I will say that I did like this DLC alot. I think it is definetely up there with LoSB. Let's just hope bioware keeps this up and possibly surpasses LoSB.

I will also say that I ALSO did NOT take EDI with me on any of the combat missions. it was garrus(LI), javik and Vega for the final one.

Let's go find this Leviathan...but first we need track down one of Dr.

The severed husk head was one of my favorite bits of creepiness, but having Vega be all Cool, screaming severed head!" about it never failed to crack me up.

I usually go with the Destroy ending, but for my current ME3 playthrough I am definitely going with the Control ending - since who's to say that after the Reapers were destroyed, Leviathan's species wouldn't decide to repeat their mistake and build a new race of AI harvester ships? Orbital bombardment with asteroids the size of small planets using Reaper ships seems a reasonable solution to me at least.

 I just finished Leviathan DLC and wanted to say a thing or two about it.

It would not be fair if comparing this DLC with the best (Shadow Broker); however, the information I learn within it is very rich and at the end, I feel hunger for more DLC like this. To be specific, I rather to have a DLC full of information than a mostly fighting DLC....

In nitpicking, I don't know why BW team didn't added the water effect on the armor when we first set foot on the shipwreck? I felt that place is great to take screenshot but without the raining effect on armor, it looks just weird......

Alright, suppose i'll share my thoughts about Leviathan now when it's cool with spoilers.
I had little.. actually no expectations on the DLC. I went in figuring it was crap and that i wouldn't enjoy it at all. I'm very cynical when it comes to Bioware nowdays but for once i didn't come out on the otherside annoyed. Bioware did suprise me with actually making a good DLC that i had fun playing. Naturally if it had been part of the game from release my annoyance towards the starbrat might've been less vicious.

Leviathan was the DLC i needed to not uninstall my copies of the games just yet.
It started of just perfect for me. Almost getting shot in the beginning by the assistant. I absolutely loved the investigation part where some information were relevant while other looked like it was useful but in the end it wasn't. Bioware did a good job there and EDI was quite cool.


"TAAACKLE"

One word about the mining base, creeeeeeepy! But i really enjoyed the part. I was constantly looking around every corner for a Reaper or two. Something was so very wrong here and with all the miners making a camp in the uncanny valley it just made it so tense. I enjoyed this part in Overlord and here i enjoyed it just as much. Having the squadmembers talking probably made me not go insane in there.

Namakli was the least awesome of all the planets but it was fun nonetheless, i enjoyed the rush of having to reach her fast. It was quite fun to dodge all the Ravagers while at the same time knocking out some banshees.
Rescuing Ann was a must and having a must hanging over me was great for once


Cracking bad news is something Sarah is used to. It's nothing special until it's telling someone that their father is murdered. Family is sacred to Sarah and it always pains here to tell someone they lost a member of their family.

Also finally Desponia, bad things first. I miss having the armor looking soaking wet. Bad Bioware! Now onto the other parts. All the datapads talking about the things that happened there was awesome to read. Cortez kicked ass here as on any other planet. That man is super! This planet felt a bit too short but it had it's jewels aswell. Having to fight on an area that awkward was fun and having to gather the battery to the Triton was horribly easy but fun nonetheless. Diving into the sea was quite cool 


During the descent i had "Under the Sea" in my head all the time. 

Being on the ocean floor was an interesting experience and it would've been great if it was longer than just the tiny walk it was. Meeting Leviathan and his crew was both cool and hilarious. I had issues getting past the giant cuttlefish part but Leviathan himself was a great cuttlefish. His explanation of what happened made me both facepalm and cackle so all in all. Cuttlefishes shouldn't do science.


One of the best highlights of the entire DLC and..


Having Sarah get rescued by Kaidan in a situation like that was just perfect, it was long overdue to. Eden Prime, Virmire, Horizon, Mars, Earth.. she has saved his ass so many times that it was time for him to be able to return the favor. I really liked that he got saved Sarah, probably what i enjoyed the most of this DLC, having the LI saving Shepard.

So all in all i'm trying to be as objective as possible and push my dislike of everything ME3 related aside and giving the DLC a fair opinion. I'm considering it as good as LotSB in many areas. LotSB was great and i'm liking Leviathan quite a bit so it's either as good or not far behind at all. Well done Bioware

Got a Face code for that shep? It's what i've been trying to get a shep of mine to look like, minus the eye and hair colour and style.

I don't give out Zody's face code since she is my main and when I do any Mass Effect art she is the model I use. But I will point you to this Shepard, the code is simliar but not dead on.
