I love the boosts too. My Shep actually wears invisible Ketrel Helmet and the rest armour parts have Ketrel armour stat boosts too.meonlyred wrote...
I freaking love Kestrel Armor for Insanity runs. +30% Melee Damage, +5% Headshot Damage, +11% Weapon Damage, +25% Shield Strength, +5% Spare Heavy Weapon Ammo capacity. That is just sexy.

I'm a kestral armor fanplus it has a NO helmet option! Yay! If toggle helmets were in, I'd totally wear the blood dragon armor or cerberus the entire game too
Cerberus Armor is great too but the blocky helmet pretty much kills it, used it only once.![]()
I only use it for visiting the crashed normandy. The too bulky Appollo 13 spacesuit look kind of fits the atmosphere of that frozen planet. Other than that I'm right with you. I actually refuse to use any armor that's "helmet mandatory".

So the armor is modularized into different parts like the N7 armor, then? I thought it'd be along the lines of the Cerberus and Blood Dragon armor, hence the reason I didn't buy the DLC

I don't use the N7, but I really do love that red stripe. Lookin' forward to seeing my shep in a hoodie in ME3.

I disagree about the Kestrel armor being the best. I like the idea, but the execution fell flat for me I guess is what I mean. It looks... ill-fitting almost, and I am not quite a fan of the glowing blue lights everywhere either. I do love the idea of a non-boob cup armor though, like Lady Hawke's default warrior armor (even though someone a couple of pages back says it makes her look like a "man", which I find ridiculous).
Also, I love that mod for Skyrim too. Especially considering I play beast races most of the time, I see no reason why my bipedal cat or lizard needs to have boobs.
I stick with Aegis. She's an engineer, she's not taking many blows to the chest that need to be deflected anyway.
dunno why but i really love your Shep .. dark skin and golden armor looks really good together;)

nah I still gotta go with the Aegis Vest being the best piece of armor and it has boob cups on it. If they weren't fuctional they wouldn't have been on he armor since the first game for femshep.
While I agree, and I love LOVE LOVE the aegis vest, Bioware is AWFUL at designing armor, specifically armor that is functional.
Just look at Garrus for ME3. The guy is wearing this tank over himself? Cool. But his shoulders and arms have to clip through this own body because his suit is so bulky, and he is still restricted by a human skeleton.
The designers have to stop developing armor from static action posses, and instead come up with a better system.

Haha, thanks. She used to wear more tan and less shiny armor, but switched up after I headcanoned that it got super busted during the suicide run. After looking at how shiny everyone looks in ME3 (seriously, Garrus' armor looks like he waxes it regularly), I decided to go metallic. We're not good for stealth missions or flash photography, I guess.
Plus I felt the old armor was just too matchy with her skin/eyes.

Changing it up maintaned the yellowish toned theme I had going while breaking up the monotony.

I probably won't do another playthrough before ME3, but I'll be downloading it when I do. Thanks for the heads up!
