I'm cramming tons of ME into my days now, it's so fun to beat the game twice in an hour.

I'm waaaay too attached to my red stripe to try on anything else besides the N7 armor. :)

I don't use the N7, but I really do love that red stripe. Lookin' forward to seeing my shep in a hoodie in ME3.

You know what's better than the red stripe? Two red tripes, one on each arm. http://cloud.steampo...D977CE23ECAD4A/

For my insanity run I wore nothing.

Modded thermal underwear + Barrier FTW!

Also, I died a lot at first. :innocent:

Now you're talking. Who needs boob armor, or any armor?

My canon is insanity vanguard. She gets the archon visor for the cool down reduction and the kestrel shoulder pieces, arm sheathing, and power pack because the kestrel armor's bonus powers are awesome. She wears the shield harness instead of the kestrel chest piece, though, because she wants the N7 insignia on her armor as a subtle 'f*** you' to Cerberus.

I play similar, although I dont do any visors at all.  A subtle word to Bioware to toggle everything headwhere related  ;)

Love that iconic Stripe though.  I tried doing it in other colours like blue and green.  But it has to be Red!  Doesnt look right otherwise

So there's two new trailers? One with maleshep and another with femshep?

I'm confused now. What's with the 'take back the Earth' trailer they are talking about?

As Commander Data would say, "I have entered my Expressionist phase." lol

I agree on the whole red stripe thing, but if you use a neutral color like grey it can still work. The shade of grey I used above is very close to what the red would look like if it were desaturated. Also, when I use red armor, I have a clearly defined white stripe.

Yeah, the "Take Back Earth" trailer won't have femshep; it's entirely different.

Binding them flat? Yeah.. no. I'd rather keep my breathing unobstructed when running around in heavy armor tyvm.
And that's aside from bumping into stuff. Honestly, this is the kind of stuff guys would 'logicly conclude' while women would chime "FECK NO" in responce.

*lol* Thank God it's not just me! Yeah, taking deep breaths when sprinting requires some good breathing room--that's a good point, too. I guess that's another reason I think there would have to be some kind of cool, ultra-thin space-age padding on the inside.

And honestly, the N7 chest-- even if it was silly, it couldn't be any sillier than the very prominent codpieces of certain male NPCs. *looks at Thane and Jacob pointedly* Not that I'm complaining, mind you... just noticing! ;)

I like it on some Sheps, much like color has to fit their personality for me.

*pic snips*

Yeah, I think for femshep, I suited the armor to personality more than anything. Because the armor and casual clothes can change the look of her body SO much (and alter bust size so much), I deliberately put my sheps in armor to make their body types look different. combo of face type + body = very different vibe for each shep.

Exactly! I love experimenting with the colors, paint patterns, and shapes; it really helps the different Sheps feel independent to me. Practical or impractical, blending in or standing out, favorite color, sharp lines or a soft mix... it helps me mirror that Shepard's mind and history in their look. Zadira likes crazy, bright, clashing colors that make my eyes hurt; her casual is a comfy purple jumpsuit (she and Ryla both *hate* dresses with a passion.) Tricia likes a blue-green that matches her eyes for armor; the elegant taupe-and-lavender suit with the gloves is her casual wear. April loves a dark red/blue-grey/violet camo and the funky pink dress just to prove she can pull it off while still looking scary, Eo's a little corny and likes the striped paint in red/white/blue armor but digs the red/white/black dress on the ship, while Andy digs an earthy blue/green/brown/camel mix; all fairly warm colors except the blue, and the black-with-orange-trim dress. (Some visual aids here.)

For Ryla, who's Earthborn, she liked the bright metallic purple-blue mix; sleek, clean, but in-your-face, fitting her charge-in personality. For shape, I felt that her being a street rat had taught her that being lean and mean was an advantage. She never really shook the habit of eating light. I like to imagine Liara keeping her decently fed--not necessarily cooking (although I think cooking and science do go hand-in-hand somewhat!) but making sure she doesn't run herself into the ground. So I love the flatter, more slender armors for her.

I loved doing Vanguard on Hardcore with Kestrel. Doing N7 armor on Insanity is pretty punishing, though... an Infiltrator without the good chest upgrades (boy, that sounds wrong!) is tricky to play. I have died quite a few times, though half the time because I stupidly walked into a buggy area and got stuck on top of a column, or because the cover system is buggy/the cover button is married to the sprint button. :pinched:

Wow. I am an idiot.  BTW, how's that sniper rifle? I'm currently playing an infiltrator and could use a good one. :)

Thank you so much for your assistance.

The Incisor is really kinda meh for Shep. Viper and Widow out class it, no sure about the Mantis. Now for your squad mates its crazy good. They can somehow make all 3 shots from each burst a head shot. . .

Yeah, this was my experience... if you have a really steady hand for sniping, then the Incisor is good, but even then I found it to be underwhelming. It teaches you to compensate, sharpens your skills, but that's the best I could say for it.

The Viper (which you get in Thane's recruitment mission) and the Widow are fairly close, for me. With the Viper and a good ammo mod, that rapid-fire punch is great; you get a lot of bullets for it and plenty of firepower. The Widow is often a one-shot kill, it can almost be like a second heavy weapon; the annoying part is the 13 bullets you get when the Phalanx is just about as good when upgraded--and every clip you pick up gives you just ONE more Widow bullet. I *hate* that. I hate scrounging for ammo. ME2 really made me grit my teeth on that count. Hard to feel like a sniper when you have to run around in the open hunting for bullets like an idiot, or save bullets by switching to other guns half the time. A single misplaced shot is a real setback with the Widow.

Not that I miss that often. I'm just--well, to be honest, kinda anal and prone to hoarding bullets, which ME1 saved me from. And it's mostly infiltrators that have this problem. Assault rifles don't make you hunt constantly for bullets, or SMGs, or pistols... just sniper rifles and shotguns, and for Vanguards it's not so bad to run out of bullets--charge in and beat them to death! I know those guns are powerful, but it still gets my goat. Snipers get the short end of the stick in ME2, IMO. I hope ME3 is kinder; if it's not, I may just switch my Infiltrator to something else like Soldier, though I would grieve if I had to do that. :/

Plus I felt the old armor was just too matchy with her skin/eyes.
Changing it up maintaned the yellowish toned theme I had going while breaking up the monotony.

I completely agree--she's good either way, but in that metallic armor she looks like a golden goddess.

@ MDK - Hi! Nice to see Freya (it is Freya, right?) I love blonde sheps and sheps named after norse legends.

I love that last shot in particular, where she's looking at Elnora like, "I have exactly ZERO time for your bs, beeyotch." Nice, MDK. :)

I'm partial to Greek and Celtic names myself, but I definitely appreciate the Norse ones as well. I have to actively resist giving meaningful names all the time like I did when I wrote short stories as a teenager; it's just so fun to research. Besides Eo, I have a Shep named Zadira; she's the closest thing I have to a pure Renegade and likely to lose people on her Suicide Mission--I read somewhere that Zadira is the Russian phonetic translation for badass. *grin* I pondered a Cassandra, but then I thought it was too literal for Shepard, so it ended up being Andromeda, because she has a sweet face (I was trying to match the new default) and the really heavy eyelashes that made me think, "damsel in distress." But according to Wikipedia, the traditional etymology of the name is "she who has bravery in her mind" from ἀνήρ, ἀνδρός (anēr, andrós) "man" as in "soldier", and similarly ανδρεία ("bravery") combined with μήδομαι (mēdomai) "to think, to be mindful of." Alternatively it could mean "she who leads."  So I thought, "Hey, that's a perfect name for FemShep." I don't think I'm the only one who had the idea, but it was too cool a name to pass up in any case.

Then with April, Tricia, and Ryla it was just, "Eh, it suits her." :D

If I make another blonde after Tricia, I'll probably name her and "sculpt" her after Alexandra Roivas from Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, a character which I absolutely loved. Jennifer Hale references for the win! ;)

I really hope its more then just a generic trailer involving both male and female Shep.   I was expecting something unique for her

No.  This is seems to be the official "cinematic" launch trailer w/ Sheploo. Per the description it looks like they are going for a "Dead Island" feel.  In other words, don't expect to see said little girl in game.  This trailer launches Feb 14th.

The femshep trailer will have Kaidan in it and that’s all we know.  They were still working on it as of February 2nd. It's coming "soon."

Something tells me "Take Back Earth" is going to be the trailer that pops up if you leave ME3 on idle at the start menu.

Historically, I actually... haven't cared for those much. As much as I love the series, they've gone 0 for 2 with me. Maybe this time things will change, but that description just sounds like a whole lotta macho action (the girl does sell things a bit more emotionally though).

Hopefully it's just a very, very brief description and there's more to it.

Random flycam pic of UJ.  It came out well, though Miranda had to go and put herself in the photo.  :/

Also, I was interviewed today for a website called Button Mashers on the hows and whys of femshep.com. I think the articles goes up tomorrow.
