Nemain doesn't look up to Anderson in the same way Devi does. She instead appreciates his support of her throughout her formative years as an N7 soldier and Spectre. He was one of the few who believed a sprightly and clever, if undisciplined, engineer had much to offer with the Alliance. If there were extended dialogue, I believe Nemain would have used this moment to crack a corny joke, hoping that would ease Anderson's condition:

I find the Synthesis ending to be complete gobbly ****** (I know others will disagree, and that's okay) but I'll be damned if it is not the most visually arresting ending out of the three options. The writers clearly did their best in making it the most vague and "magical" of the bunch, yet symbolically, it fit perfectly with Nemain's storyline. She went from an indifferent, unpredictable, and self-centered woman, to someone who literally jumped at the chance to sacrifice her life for the sake of all others.
