Slightly bizarre design choice...

Femsheps armor is always slightly different in design from Malesheps. So really it's not that bizarre looking at history.

And that is an interesting design element that FemShep's armor lacks. Less detail by design, or just an oversight?

True enough, but their arms are about the only parts that have always been identical. If you look at Ash's armor in the FemShepFriday pic (which is of course a retexture of FemShep's ME2 armor, those parts are indeed there)
Just seems like the weirdest alteration to make, given that their arms have no reason to look different =/
And yes, I'm weird as was rather attached to those ridges along the arms. Sue me.

Not necessarily, maleshep or males in general have an agressive look, whereas to some degree femsheps have to look somewhat slender, dont see a problem with the lag of ridges i like the smooth look anyways. Personal opinions.
Uhhh....for what reason does FemShep have to look somewhat slender?
As I said, she's always had identical arm armor to MaleShep and it never looked odd before...

From the tweets they done and the big deal they are making out it, Bioware seem quite optimistic it will hit our expectations.
Well the majority I mean
I expect better then this :innocent:
I don't think it's gonna be CGI though. Probably more of in-game render.
CGI cost would only belong to maleshep imo, sadly.
But in terms of epicness, it certainly is gonna be better than that!

I play 100% femshep so dont look to far into my statement, or turn it into a sexist view, just stating obviously femshep cant be hulking. either way just stating an opinion that even if it is "smooth" it looks good.

I hope you're wrong. I'll be so disappointed if it''s not CGI.Yumi50 wrote...

Also, Manshep shares the non-ridged arm piece on some of the wallpapers/artwork.

Holy crap, you're Kiryu, I didn't even take notice of your name till just now. Hey, off topic, but what ever happened to that DA2 Isabella art you were making?
It died a death, sadly.
This year was pretty rough on me art-wise, and I'm only now getting myself back into a happier place with it. I wish I could give you better news =/

That's perfectly fine, my love for Isabella started dying around that time anyway. But glad you're starting to do better, always loved your art, have a bunch of your Liara/Shepard art saved. Though, um, that bald Shepard scares me a little, lol. Don't hate me for that I'm sorry.Metal-Dragon-Kiryu wrote...

From Mass effect website itself.
Their arm pieces look the same, don't they?

Thing about those pics is they're actually drawings - or at the very least, trace-overs of the old ME2 designs - if you look at the high-res versions, you can even see the brushstrokes.
It's almost like when it came to create the FemShep model, they used those pics as reference for the armor, and ended up translating the flat arm piece into the game.
I hope it's just a different piece of armor, but we'll see...

Do you have this High res version? I'd love to have the high res of femsheps art. What I have is so small.Metal-Dragon-Kiryu wrote...

Either way, I've always been curious what those ridges were for. I mean, they look cool (and I'd miss them if they're not on FemShep's armor) and all, but lore-wise, do they serve a purpose? You have an omni-tool even without armor, so it's not that... looks too small for storage.

More Mara pics. She still hasn't treated her scars yet, beautifying herself has always been a low priority.
Wow, your Shepard is beautiful, I wish Kallien looked that good. Were there any mods involved in this? Cause those eyes are so vibrant.
I think it's just a product of her pale skin and the fact that green contrasts with red, because she is 100% mod free.
