Yes it was up on youtube very breifly. Someone caught it, before it was switched to  the private viewing setting.

While I can understand people wanting to have their Shep wear this to middle finger TIM, I cannot understand how they can justify the ingame logistics of this for their Shep. How did Shep get their hands on one? Some army surplus store on Omega? Anderson? Miranda got you one 'coz TIM said "exactly the same"?

I dunno? Perhaps I just prefer having my Sheps wear Cerberus stuff and chafe under it the whole time until the middle finger TIM with the base.

This also makes as much sense as the Kuwashi visor in a hostile environment. Or Jack's boob-straps. Visually I really don't like the beret with the armour thing either, although I love it with any of the casual outfits. The armour is just too bulky in comparison.

Please understand, red, I'm not picking on you here, I'm being picky in a general sense. Your post just happened to have two of my pet peeves in one.

I'm sure if Shepard wanted to get hold of an Alliance Unfirom she could she could.

I use the officer outfit for Hrist as she would never wear anything with a Cerberus logo, and the two remaining alternatives (three if you have the little black dress available), don't suit her, or look out of place in the case of the dress. Besides the game gives you so few ways to let your Shepard tell TIM what she thinks of him that wearing an Alliance outfit is a nice silent alternativefor me. All depends on how your Shepard views Cerberus/TIM, and having to work him them I guess.



As for the trailer, I'm looking forward to seeing it. I don't really mind what they have in there as long as it depicts the kick arse, galaxy saving heroine that we all know Shepard to be. If there's romance stuff in there, it won't bother me. At the end of the day it's not my Shepard in the trailer and it's no one elses custom Shepard either. It's BioWare's.

Exactly this! Everyone should remember that if there happens to be anything about Shepard's actions in the trailer that they don't like. It's OK if trailer femShep does something that your Shepard wouldn't do.

Unless, it turns out that in the game it ends up being something unavoidable and you feel your femShep gets railroaded into it. But, then you can complain about it if that actually comes to pass. For now, just remember Akari Tenshi's wise words.

"Sheperd" ShepArd! Irks me as much as when Kaidan is mispelled Kaiden.

I love playing the Sentinel class. The tech armor looked ok on Femshep. I know some didn't like it.
That would be awesome if we could customize the Sentinel armor!

But that's exactly why I think it should be as... "generic" as possible. She's no one's Shep but she's representative of FemShep as a whole. Show things that all Sheps go through, make it more universal. 

I'm not going to boycott or protest or anything, but that's just what I think when it comes to marketing.

Well, the fact that your Shepard would be cooking her lungs on the derelict Reaper, or choking on her own bleeding thracia, nose and eyes on those planets with an amonia atmosphere, nothing really. Same reason Jack never gets onto a flotilla ship. Too much exposed skin and organs. Which was my point. I like 10% extra headshot damage just fine on the Citadel.

Or the omni-tool we discussed earlier. Ever noticed how Shepard "scans" minerals or salvage directly into the omni-tool? I bet you could scan the Cerberus issue ship's uniform and have the micro-fabricator-mathingy make you an Alliance one. At least that's how I'd RP it.

The only reason to make something generic is for fans that can't stand to see things done for another before themselves, but that's just my 2 cents.
Being happy for another, recognizing potential in something indirectly, arts not universally mastered, specially not on the interwebs.

The way they threat one thing can bode well for others.

Ummm, that's not what I said at all though. I just feel that it makes more sense to appeal to the largest amount of people when it doesn't detract from the emotional impact of the trailer at all. How is wanting something to be more general and cover the experiences of all fans more selfish??

What you said could be said for us wanting a FemShep trailer then, no? Why couldn't we just appreciate Sheploo and look at the bigger picture?

I do appreciate Sheploo. There's a difference between appreciating one thing and asking for another and not appreciating one thing because it's not the other. I was also generalizing internet mentality.

And making a generic trailer kinda misses the point doesn't it?

How does it miss the point? When I said "generic" I meant universal. As in, instead of focusing on specific content you have to choose (namely, a love interest), show you could pretty much anything else. Something ALL FemShep players will experience. Fighting, conversations, cutscenes of all sorts... By not including super-specific content it appeals to a broader range of people. It's not being angry if it is included over something else, it's appealing to everyone who plays her. What's difficult to understand about that?
