@Wynne, thanks for all the comments. I have played RPG's for a long time and really take my time in the character creators of different games. ME is really hard to figure out. I have to admit that I also use a HD mod and that probably helps my Femshep's looks.

I can't wait for the Femshep trailer.

I guess I could do my homework in the meantime.

Immersion sure is different for everybody. I prefer no headgear, that way the game auto-helmets my Shepards appropriately whenever it's really required. And I expect my two Sheps' skins crawl just as much yours, because I force them to wear Cerberus. I RP that as part of their motivation to buck under TIM at every occasion, and finally blow the base and steal the ship and go do a headcanon LotSB (where the Shep cuddle-catches the LI, not Liara, and gets the dogtags without the invite) and Arrival.

They sure will both be happy to wear Alliance blue, commanding from an Alliance blue CIC.

That would be Mara's attitude exactly. She really doesn't like the whole being a hero with statues and memorial plazas and such named after her, she figures there are a million people in the galaxy more worthy of a statue than she is.


Even if she jokes about how a "carpenter wanders around a desert with twelve friends, dies, rises again and becomes a diety" while she saves the galaxy, dies, rises again and saves the galaxy a second time yet doesn't even get dubbed a saint.

Wow! You played that? As I recall that game was the first in a long line to force me to upgrade my PC. My 286 was just too light in the CPU to run it. Mind you, QfG 2 is still my alltime favourite game, even above Mass Effect. I think it's the nostalgia value. And now I feel a little old too.

Here I was thinking no one else would get that reference! *big hug & beaming smile* I'm 31, so I played the first game when I was like 12 or 13, and afterwards both my dad and I were on top of the series every time a new one came out. I remember reading the magazines with him, feeling the anticipation... it's still happening now with Mass Effect. So great to be able to share that with my dad, who got me into gaming in the first place.

I LOVED the entire Quest for Glory series (well, the first 4. Never could get into #5.) I played the upgraded version of QfG2 not long ago; it was so great--probably the most unique of the games. Sadly, "Shadows of Darkness" was my favorite (it was SO buggy, argghh, and the original patch only made it worse!) because I adore vampire stories and Cthulhu-style horror and I loved the autumn scenes, the creepy monsters, the music, the scary comedy with malevolent creatures like that elderberry bush that stings... I hated the voiced version, though, because even though John Rhys Davies was so much fun as the narrator, Jennifer Hale just didn't sound anything like the Katrina I knew sounded in my head (I usually love her!) and the little girl stopped sounding like a little girl and started sounding like a 40s-ish woman trying to force herself to sound 80x cuter than she'd ever been... *lol* And Elyssa, the Rusalka! I loved her when she sounded tragic and young in my head; afterward she sounded the very antithesis of either. It ruined her plotline for me. :/ Yeah, I prefer QFG IV unvoiced.

An HD mod? How does that work? Is it for the PC? Er, not to bombard you with questions or be nosy, that is... *laugh* 

Well, either way, I think that's a talent--a spatial awareness thing which might well correlate with sculpting talent. I enjoy making Shepards, and I love them warts and all, but honestly, some people have a special gift for picking the faces that stand out, sort of like a casting director who chooses an actor who's not merely pretty/handsome, but truly intriguing to look at--the type that is attractive, but strikingly so; not just averaged out in terms of features and symmetrical. I'd put you in those categories, from what I've seen; definitely.

That was Hale? And yes, IV without sound was probably better, but at that point I didn't have much gaming experience still. D*mn that rusalka was sexy! Probably the sexiest babe of any game around that time. They did jump the shark a bit with V, but I think it was because the Coles were forced to make it by the fans and Sierra so long after IV and we all got the ending to the series we didn't want. And the 3D protagonist with matte painted backgrounds just looked BAD...

Makes me wanna start a Katrina Shepard who has The Hero as a LI.

Still saying be prepare to see Femshep with someone. All the trailers before have figured Sheploo making out with someone. ME1 showed the romance scene with Ash and ManShep. ME2 showed the renegade rough sex between Jack and Shepard as well as the engine room scene with Miranda. And the LotSB shows Shepard kissing Liara. And if memory serves I think there was one with Sheploo taking off Tali's mask. So, if we don't see Femshep with someone, I'm going to feel sorry of the old girl. Why can't she get some space hotties too?

Last time I checked you can't really wear clothes during sex. Chud did say that ME3 will be more pants appropriate.

I'm not a peeper so I'm more than happy how ME2 handled femShep, hmm..., relationship scenes.
