The number of Shepards I have created for Mass Effect is somewhere in between six to a dozen. The numbers of hours spent playing is easily four hundred. Only one of those Shepards was male, created back in 2008. It was my fastest and least favorite playthrough, or at least, that's what my memory tells me.

That was on my XBox 360. I bought Mass Effect during a Steam sale and then BioWare gave me Mass Effect 2 for free, so now I'm playing the game on the PC. I decided to give male Shepard another chance. He's working for me much better.

And yes, it was the voice that originally killed it for me, but this is what I needed to do to make it better. I needed to play Skyrim. And then Fallout 3. And then I realized that, no, Mark Meer will never be bad ever again. Because the alternative is hours and hours of three voices voicing everyone in the whole world.

Plus, now when Ashley mentions if my Shepard has an issue with her belief in God, he can tell her about his favorite story from the Living Bible where Jesus fights the pirates.

What, are we just supposed to show pictures? Right.

Another of Jonathan. My canon is a femShep, but Jonathan is my favorite alt. Renegon, Earthborn/War Hero Infiltrator. Relatively nice to his crew and NPC's who aren't idiots, but can be a snarky SOB, and most of the major decisions are renegade. One last official run-thru of ME2 before the demo comes out. I'll likely be playing the demo for most of the time until ME3 is released.

They were supposed to be TIM's eyes( gibb-mod) but for whatever reason they always come out red on Shepard...

There is a way to fix that. Ermm, lemme find info..

There are two "eye" lines in Vector Parameters:
EYE_Iris_Colour_Vector
EYE_White_Colour_Vector

To get T.I.M. Eyes of any color:
DELETE >>>>>>>>EYE_Iris_Colour_Vector
CHANGE>>>>>>>>EYE_White_Colour_Vector to Emis_Color
Then Imput your RGB code

Backup the save before you try.

My canon John Shepard's been ready to go for ME3 for a while now - I've been using the standard Sheploo face for him for ages now, which honestly has been so engrained into my brain as the face of the male Shepard that I have a hard time picturing Shepard without that face, plus Sheploo seems to fit the best for my canon's character and personality (Spacer, War Hero, Soldier, Paragade, romanced Tali):





That said, I have been doing some experiments with custom male Shep faces lately (always so hard to craft one that looks just right, even harder than creating a FemShep face in my opinion) and I've finally decided on a custom face for my new male Sentinel, Joseph (Earthborn, Sole Survivor, Neutral-slightly Renagon, romanced Ashley):

Mass Effect has one of the worst CC's. The only way i've been able to make a shep that doesn't look like plastic is through mods, but they don't transfer through the games so it's kind of pointless.

Ash becoming a Lt. Com, she'd be the same rank as Shep was in ME2 and will be in ME3 assuming Shep gets no promotion. It being optional to have gotten your Spectre status back in ME2 does tip the scale. Kaidan will outrank Shep, being a Staff Commander.
Now I could be misinformed, but I think that's right.

Kaidan's also been promoted to the rank of Major in ME3, so he definitely outranks Shepard at this point.
