Shepard hates the idea of a beard, only reason he has one is because he barely has time to get breakfast of a morning before something goes to hell, let alone shave... at least that's my headcanon.

But seriously, it's the same thins as with tattoo or scar or haircolor. Everybody has different taste. I like to make my Sheps with red hair, black stubble and brows and usually black eyes. And I prefer stubble to beard. And would like tattoos. And so on... However, regarding the beard in military (professional soldiers), I really think that even in the future there will be some regulations regarding it... Cmdr. Riker is an exception . M.

I think a tattoo would suit Shepard, wish you had the choice to add them to him.

 Shepard needs facial hair no matter what he looks like. The darker the better he just looks really odd otherwise...>_>; Obviously my opinion but i'm obsessed with facial hair so. XD

Also regarding the renegade scars I love them but hate them at the same time lol. Don't really like the glowing eyes either or the last stage of the scars. The left side kinda reminds me of a pizza... No disrespect to those who like them i'm just being weird. ;p  But glad I finally figured out how to control them for my personal preferences.

Though can't wait to see those Tattoo mods I might actually have to get texmod. Which I have been avoiding for the longest time heh... Mmmm forearm tats would be sexy.

Well, sometimes when I see Shepard's scars, I have feeling that he has nuclear reactor under his face. XD

I want his scars to remain, but only lightly (pun not intended). A slight glow and a bit of red like a healing cut. Subtle enough that it adds character, but apparent enough to be noticed with a casual glance. Know what I mean?

I can't imagine Sheploo having a full beard. Stubble yes, definitely if only because he can't possibly be that stingy about his looks while yanno, galactic annihilation is under way. Though I don't think players shouldn't be able to choose. But a large beard might get in the way since many helmets are a bit form-fitting around the chin.

I reckon they'd make it a seperate mesh, and like the hair it'd be removed/hidden when wearing a helmet in favor of the plain texture. Logic dictates, but you know how logical they tend to be =P

Ah, yeah, I always wondered how femshep's long hair was able to comfortably fit into the helmets. Realism isn't the main focus in a game where people can lift things with their mind.

Like the two above, I wouldn't get rid of the stubble. It makes Sheploo that much more rugged and handsome.

Yeah, at the start of two, he really has this whole 'babyface' look. I find it very attractive. Which is acceptable because he's just been resurrected. He's got a slight stubble because the hair is just starting to grow back. Its justified that his cosmetic features have been revitalised and restored.

In the six month gap between 2 and 3, he's aged a little more because all that time in lock down allowed himself to emotionally process everything he's been through, and the stress of losing his commission, being ignored, constantly passed off as a crazy person and some existential crisis rearing its ugly head would do that to him. And the war going on, I'm surprised we don't see more grey. Hell, if we saw him after the Reaper victory as a kind of epilogue, his hair would probably be white from all the stress.

Whatever, he can always dye it. But still, no matter what, he's always going to be very hot. I'm jealous of Ash (my LI) cause he is fiiiiiiiine.
