My FemShep is between Kaidan and Jacob.


Kaidan was her love in ME1


And Jacob is her love in ME2 and will be in ME3

As a FemShep player, I've been having trouble finding motivation to romance the ME2 guys. I have my main Shep, who is staying loyal to her Commander Tight Pants, then I have my Shep that I used to romance Garrus (a romance that was truly lacking in my opinion, seeing as he has like, 2 after mission dialogue scenes and spends the rest of the time calibrating). The ThaneMance makes me wanna cry sometimes it's so sad, and Jacob kinda creeps me out talkin about a priiiiiiiiiiize of some sort.

So now I just keep finding myself playing ManSheps to romance all the ladies!

You guys got the good stuff for that game, truly. I'm looking way too forward to James Vega.


Also, YES. Romance Jack. Soooooo worth the extra playthrough. Her Paragon romance scene is just so.....Fantastic and touching and true to character.

Depending on her new look and how she is portrayed in her new role in ME3 I may try another playthrough with her.

For now though, Ash->Miri->Tali is my order, Liara probably isn't going to happen any time soon either.

I saw some discussion about Kelly's romance, and I'd like to ask for your opinions about that. I've been trying to figure out which of my MaleSheps could possibly play this out, but it seems I just can't think of a good motivation for it. I have trouble finding what my MaleSheps would see in this romance besides a friends-with-benefits thing (and I mostly blame the stripper pole scene for this). Did any of you guys romance her, and if so, which of Kelly's qualities got your Shepard interested? Do they see the relationship as long-term or a casual fling?

Some of that seems to be the writers. They always seem to make female make the move first in Mass Effect. Which is quite strange. The male always has to accept the invitation basically. With MaleShep, you never actually make the first move, the female does, and then you have to say "yes" or ignore it.

I haven't noticed this because, in ME1, it is possible for the subject of romance to never come up with Ashley. I think it has something to do with keeping the conversations professional (not friend dialogue). She never flirted with my current MaleShep, and that's one of the things I really liked about his conversations with her. They were both Alliance soldiers, but aside from that, they had little in common - the two of them disagreed on everything from religion to family and views on aliens. They were civil, but nothing more. It felt natural that way, with Ashley not being interested.

I never got that feeling from the Garrus romance at all. I can see how some people would think the beginning is awkward, as Shepard does have to be very blunt before he realizes that she's interested, but it wouldn't make sense for Garrus' character if he was the one who started flirting. He never thought about having a romantic relationship with a human before she mentions the possibility, and even if he had, he certainly wouldn't want to ruin their friendship by making FemShep feel uncomfortable around him. He sure is quick to agree after she offered, though.

I didn't see a problem with Thane either. Jacob... well, I can't really give my opinion on his romance without getting into discussion about ME3 spoilers, so it's best if I just say nothing about that.

Another thing is bothering me: lots of asari flirt with my FemShep while no men show interest in her! Yes, I know asari are said to be monogendered and all but I'd like to have at least some attention from men! But so far (besides Kaidan) I got only Harkin to "flirt":sick: with me. It is unfair: MShep is a magnet for women (female team-mates, many human and asari NPCs) while FemShep is almost ignored by the opposite sex.

I agree. I've always thought it was annoying how the asari flirt with all my Shepards, and there's no "do not want" option to make them take their hands off of Shep. >_>;

Canon m!Shep: Ashley (loyal, almost got romanced by Tali)
Second m!Shep: Ashley (loyal, very close friend to Miranda)
Third m!Shep: Ashley (maybe the only Shep that might go after Miranda - but dunno yet)

Canon f!Shep: Liara (planned as loyal playthrough)

Otherwise, I do agree with Sonoko. About Femshep hitting on Jacob and Garrus, lame. But also, about how it is weird for a femshep meanwhile ignored by all mens, all asari hitting on her. It's like she isn't attractive at all for her species. XD

But indeed, maybe the Asari do see something else than the military side intimidating for civilians lol.

For it to be incestuous there has to some sort of spearation between the two, like a brother and sister. I think for you to have sex with your gender opositte twin it would invoke "The Height Of Conceit."
