When I see the movie I won't think of it as canon, but as a walkthrough of someone else playing the game. Many of you have multiple playthroughs, and some of those playthroughs are for fun. That is what this movie will be to me. So don't take it so personal, just remember that your canon is your playthrough.

Couldn't of said it better. My canon is full-paragon MaleShep faithful to Liara.. This movie will just be another playthrough. A cool one because it'll be live action.

Frankly, I doubt very much the movie will be any good at all, if it ever comes out.  There ISN'T a good way to trim a story of Mass Effect's size down to 2 or 3 hours tops.  It'll either be horribly rushed or it'll be changed and no longer be the ME we fell in love with.  Lack of Seth Green also doesn't help at all.

ME1 has actually got a pretty focused main plot and might work turned into a movie better than most.  Might need to merge a couple of the planets, but it doesn't have to be too bad.

Difficult to set up Cerberus for the sequel, though.

I would rather Miranda didn't appear in the movie, thank you very much! They would just butcher her character.

I was sooo jonsed about seeing a movie set in the ME universe, exploring something, and telling a story about something other than Shepard (a film set on Omega with Aria? Saren's rise to spectre hood? Hell, what about a prequel film with Anderson would be all kinds of awesome!) anything EXCEPT the games. This news coupled with all the DLC crap going around?

Thanks. I'm not exactly full paragon, but am very close. Even if the movie was from a Renegade point of view I would still watch it. I just really love the universe, and I want to see it grow with this movie. Maybe it will reach Star Wars popularity.

Personally, I think normal American audiences would find it weird and unnatural for Shepard to romance Liara. I'm not against it because Liara is a great character, but I think it might give the movie a bad reputation with normal American film goers.

That's the dream! Yeah even if it were completely off from what I play in the game I will go see it. I also like the fact that everyone can now know the story. Like I have friends who just can't play Mass Effect because it's just not their type of game. It's upsetting because the game has such an incredable story.. atleast now everyone can know the Mass Effect story and experience it to an extent.. so they don't get the make the choices but in all honnesty, as far as ME1 and ME2 go, the choices don't have a huge impact. IMO the biggest choice of ME1 is let the Council live of die, the only one that really affected the story.

Video game to movie...straight to DVD. I can't think of any friend I now have that are gamers so they certainly wouldn't know anything about ME or care about watching a film on it.

Okay, maybe if it had Chuck Norris in it as Commander Shepard, it might make it.

I don't know who will direct it but so far I've like alot of Legendary Pictures films.

Legendary Pictures + Christopher Nolan = amazing movie... The Dark Knight saga, Inception..

I think it's a mistake to base it on the first game. ME universe is so big that they could have done pretty much any genre, style and story but instead they chose this. I expect another failed movie to game adaptation but I hope it will work out.

Just sayn it. Legendary Pictures hasnt failed that much yet, and i dont think they will do it this time either.
