I honestly find the quarians just as fascinating and sympathetic as the geth.

Being an atheist chicken myself, I don't believe we have any, but I don't think anyone does.  The soul is ultimately just a very beautiful metaphor for the core of what we are, the part that we are afraid to lose, the part we hope never dies.

Peace is possible but it is laughably stupid the way it is carried out.

The really irritating bit I was refering to is if you side with the geth.

Shepard can't just stand by and watch the quarains die, no, he has to lecture them about it while it happens. He blames the quarians for the morning war and for the geth's attacks in Mass Effect games. He blames them for everything basically and says they pretty much deserve what they're getting now.

Keep in mind only moments before Shepard and the quarians were fighting the geth together...

That's incredibly moronic, but if it's not in my game I don't care too much.

Thing I found most amusing was that in ME2 you were supposedly getting the best of the best, but when it came down to it, probably a 1/3 of your squad was unqualified for any of the major duties you picked people for. Everybody should have been able to do something on the SM, and no I don't mean escorting the crew.

50.000 CIVILLIAN ships.

The quarians only have about 1000 militairy ships and even those are crappy.


The migrant fleet is a liability in the reaper war, not an asset.

How many of them are battle ready? Many of them are civillain ships.

We got a taste of s small fleet from the geth in me1, imagine them all plus if you did not kill the heretics].

Plus the geth will fight without fear, with the quarians there number one concern is the survival of their dying race. They will save their fighting ships to defend, their fleet is an easy target for the reapers 

On the ground the geth are superior as well, no fear, can go in to any climate, the quarians get one tear in their suit and they are done. Again no fear, that can be huge in war, no matter what abominations the reapers throw at the geth they will not have any fear

No, Cheez, they don't. They aren't alien anymore because now we have a very human very likable avatar for us to interact with. We see Legion not as a collection of thousands of computer programs, not as a mysterious A.I., but as a person. More than that, Legion is to me a child. He is both wise and ignorant at the same time. Like somebody who has spent all their time reading about the world in books but never lived in it. That does make for an interesting character, but we already had that with Liara in ME1.

Legion has a personality, it seems to have likes and dislikes, it has opinions, we can talk to him.

Geth were more interesting when we couldn't talk to them.  They were more like real aliens that way. We couldn't just ask them for their opinion or ask them what they thought the meaning of life was.

The other problem is: Legion is too damned nice. By extension he makes all the geth seem 'nice'. So now there is nothing to fear, nothing to wonder about. Legion simplified the quarian/geth dilemma and that sucks.

Simplified?  Heellll no.  It complicated it.  If the geth were just rebellious electric screwdrivers, nobody would have any problem whatsoever nuking their ceramic asses.  But they're people.  They aren't tools; they are alive.

And they committed a horrible atrocity against the very nation-species that gave them life.

Now, that kind of food for thought is way more fun to chew over than "oooh we could never possibly understand them."  We could never possibly understand the heavens, either, but look at what we've learned, look at how much our exploration has broadened our perspectives on our place in the universe!

Mysteries are way more fun when you try to solve them.
