Not sure. But I find Ashley gets hotter as the games go on. Thought she was funny looking in ME1, still funny in ME2, but now...wow. but I'm still a katsumi and Tali man.

I'm pretty sure, as the script stands, almost everyone in ME2 is locked to ME2 as a romance option. Garrus and Tali especially, for spoiler reasons.
There are a few additional romances in ME3 though, and you can start anew with Liara/VS.

in my first play through of ME2, i tried to be loyal to ash from ME1, but then suddenly cut to scene where shepherd in bed with kelly. was quite confused thinking, i didn't select that option, i just thought it was harmless flirting. clearly flirting isn't so harmless
